Darkness was all she saw. The red-head couldn't see a single thing and the uncomfortable silence scared her. If only she had her clan's fire style instead of lightning. That'd be useful...

Wait, lightning makes light.

It's in the name, you dumbass. Haruko held her hand up, seeing the lightning flash. She rubbed her eyes and regretted ever staring at the element. "Oh? You think you can see with some lightning?"

"Yeah, it's in the name," Haruko said, walking foward. Maybe if I make Shadow Clones, then I'll get more progress done and we can get the hell out of here. She made a sign. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Six appeared behind her. She grumbled, complaining how she can't make a lot of shadow clones even though she has tons of chakra. "Shadow Clones? Boring~"

"You're boring! You're just sitting back and watching me struggle!" Haruko shouted, pointing at the area where the voice came from. "Why don't you do something about it since you want entertain?"

"I'm the audience. I'm simply watching the show."

"Well, we do need a special guest," Haruko smirked, lifting her free hand up. "Come and join the show."

There was a small silence before Haruko felt a kunai hit the side of her ear. She gasped, feeling blood starting to ooze down. "I meant an actual person, not a weapon."

"I have the ability to oppose, but I shall make a recommendation. Find your friends."

"Alright! I will!" Haruko shouted, her clones ran around in different directions. One of them hit a wall and the voice cackled. Haruko wanted to facepalm herself. She realized the room had multiple tunnels and going through all of them with only her and her clones were going to be tough. Her first mission wasn't to escort a princess to her village; it was more of a escort yourself to your death.

As she ran through the tunnels, she stared at the strange writing on the walls. It seemed like it was written in some ancient language. It had little pictures every now and then, but other than that, it was gibberish.

She hit a dead end, making her kick the wall in front of her. That kick send the wall in front of her flying to another side, making her fall into a completely different room. There did Haruko hear muffled noises. At first, she thought it was her stomach but then she heard words. She turned, her lightning style still on her hand.

"Y'all are shinobi but can't break out of a simple knot?" Haruko snorted, throwing shurikens on the rope. "You should be ashamed–"

"Stay back!" Kaito swiftly grabbed his kunai and struck it only centimeters away from her throat. "Who are you and why did you save us?"

"What?!"

"Don't act stupid! You're one of them!" Ichiro yelled. "What did you do with Haruko?"

"You blind fucks, I am Haruko!" Said girl shouted back. "Damn, they must have hit your heads hard!"

"This isn't funny! Tell us now!" Eiji threatened, his childish voice cracking. "W-We'll kill you if you don't tell us!"

"Ej, not that hard," Ichiro quietly whispered.

"Why don't they believe me?" Haruko thought.

"Haven't you learned this in school? Oh, how pathetic." The voice came back. It seemed as if the three shinobi didn't hear since their expressions were the same as before. "I must have underestimated you, Princess Saitou."

"Shut up!" Haruko shouted. "Genjutsu, right? That's why they don't know who I am. All I have to do put my chakra on them or whatever, right?" She touched the shoulder of Kaito, but smoke formed around him and he was gone. Shadow Clone Jutsu?

"You bitch!" Haruko shouted. She looked up at the ceiling. "What did you do with them?"

"Oh, they're doing the same thing as you. They're searching for their poor, hopeless teammates. I'll give you a hint though: they're closer than you think."

This is so confusing! Haruko thought. She was getting a headache and she had to find her friends. Oh, I could have had a boring mission like babysitting or finding a cat but no! I had to escort some trick ass princess that lured us into a maze!

Oh, I wonder what everyone else is doing.

"Fuck, we're dead."

Eiji and Ichiro managed to find each other, but other than that, that's all they've accomplished. Together, they went through every tunnel and found absolutely nothing. Eiji thought that they could touch the weird symbols on the walls, but Ichiro said it could be a trap.

"Ichiro, let's just do my idea!" Eiji groaned. "We have nothing else to do and this mysterious voice isn't help us at all."

"I heard that!"

"We can't risk anything, Eiji. This is a real mission. We don't even have Kaito-sensei with us." Ichiro looked up at the ceiling.

"We can't risk anything?!" Eiji yelled, grabbing his brother's shoulder. "We're shinobi! We're suppose to risk our lives! And if I'm a shinibi, then I will do it with risk!" Eiji raised his hand.

"No!" Ichiro reached out to stop his twin but it was too late. Eiji pressed the button and the floor dropped. They began to fall down, but they landed on something soft and hard.

"Get off!"

Eiji and Ichiro quickly scrambled. They met with Kaito-sensei, who was laying flat on the floor. He mumbled in pain as he stood up. "You two! Are you okay? Why did you fall from the ceiling?"

"Ceiling? That was a whole other floor!"

"Oh my God, there are floors?"

Kaito dusted himself off and scanned his eyes around. "Have any of you seen Haruko? All I met were her clones."

"Clones? And what did they say?" Ichiro asked.

"They fell for a trap before they could do anything," Kaito explained. "And if her clones fell for a trap..."

"That means she did too!" Eiji exclaimed, getting up and running towards a random tunnel. Kaito grabbed his collar shirt.

"We can't just run willy-nilly into anything. I checked everything. Nothing but a dead end."

"We didn't check the weird symbols! They have to have some significance!" Eiji smacked Kaito's arm off and ran into the tunnel, his hands touching the walls. Ichiro and Kaito ran after him.

"Dumbass!" Ichiro muttered. Eiji touched something and he got pushed into another room. Ichiro and Kaito slowly crept towards the room, their eyes widening as they see Haruko and Eiji pushing each other around.

"Move!"

"You were the one who fell on me!"

"You idiots!" Ichiro shouted, grabbing them by the collar. "We're in a middle of a dangerous situation so don't you dare do anything stupid, ya hear?!"

"Yes ma'am..." Haruko muttered.

Ichiro glared at Haruko, dragging the two back to Kaito-sensei. "Oh! You all are united again! Great..." The tone was hard, stone cold. It totally caught the group of guard as the walls began to close.

"Shit!" the three genin shouted. The squad immediately sprinted down the hallway, but the path was becoming narrow very fast. Haruko clenched her teeth hard, her fist tightened. It's not going to end like this!

Haruko formed a shadow clone. It jumped behind the group, running along side them. "Oh, great! You're wasting your chakra before you die. What do you think that's going to do?"

"Watch," Haruko smirked. The clone jumped high, forming loads of hand signs. "Water Style: Water Slide!"

"Water slide?" Eiji wondered outloud. Then, a tsunami wave pushed them forward. Ichiro was screaming, but no one could hear him. They were underwater, of course.

They manage to escape the room just seconds before it smashed together. There was a moment of silence before Eiji awkwardly laughed. "We made it! We're alive..."

"Not for long, you're not!" The voice rang. An army of shinobi surrounded them. "You can't get anywhere now. You're just a group of genin with a sad excuse of a sensei. And you're really annoying!"

Eiji and Ichiro began to laugh loudly. Haruko and Kaito stared at them like they were on crack. Ichiro gasped for air, opening his mouth to say something, but then went back to laughing.

"What?! What's so funny?!"

"Have you seen our eyes?" Eiji asked. "Look, look at my pupil! Look at that! Do you even know who we are?"

"Oh, the Hyuga clan is a piece of trash in the dumpster of horrible clans. Seize them!"

The twins activated their Byakugan, still trying to stop laughing. "We're going to make you regret saying those words. Haruko, Eiji, Double L-sensei, let's kick ass."

"Right!"
