For people who look like me
Equality is a far fetched dream
something in the distance
It's something that we have never seen
And may never see
Something we fight for everyday
For people who look like me equality is something for which we must pray
For people who look like me you can't just step outside
You have to pray to god that you will make it back home
You have to pray to god that this won't be your last time being in your home
You have to pray this won't be the last time you see you mother , your kids or your siblings
For people who like me its not that easy just to step on your porch
Putting a foot out the door brings fear in your heart
You have to just hope and pray you wont end up like Stephen Clark
For people like me the simple things in life aren't simple
you see
They weren't simple from the start
If you look like me and you have kids you might find trouble sending them to the park

People like me have to pray that the end is not near
people like me have no choice but to live in worry and in fear

You can't go for a jog, You can't go to the store, you can't sit in your house, you can't ask for help, you can't talk , you can't look , you cant breath
