I really like the fact he was inspired off the real man himself, who happened to be a samurai. Plus, Kusonoki's said to be personality along with his strength (The Four Beasts being defeated by him within just ten days)

No clue how Sama got free (jk yes I know Hiachi released her from her seal)

But he sacrificed himself to save his daughter, Hirosa. Or better known as Shaku. Only to be tricked regardless. I think Sama was using Hirosa as bait apparently just to get Kusonoki out of the way so she could turn more people into puppets without him trying to lock her back in her seal

Anyways, love this man either way and I'll try to defend him best I possibly can
