Here's a preview for my walker apocalypse story.

This is how they meet Kellin and Copeland

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Andy, Heyleigh, and I have been walking for the past ten minutes. It took way longer to outrun the mob of undead. I think we're safe now, though.
"Remember to be on the look out for supply stores." Andy says. I nod my head in response.
I hear a small groan coming from an alley we are approaching. All of us immediately tense up and ready our weapons. Silently, I take the lead and hurry over to the alley, my companions close behind.
Before me are two of the walking dead, and a man. One of the walkers are laying on the ground with a stab to the head. The other one is attacking the man, chomping his teeth towards his neck as the man attempts to push it off of him.
I rush towards the duo and stab the unalive man in the brain. It falls violently to the ground and the man brushes himself off.
Now that the mini chaos is over, I have a better look at him. He has pale blue eyes,along with black hair falling in his face and down slightly past his chin.
"Thanks," he says, then reaches to the ground to grab the knife he must have dropped during the battle.
After tucking the knife safely into his belt, he extends a hand for me to shake and continues. "I'm Kellin."
I accept the invitation for a handshake and reply with, "I'm Layla." Our hands separate and I turn to introduce my friends.
"This is Andy, and thats Heyleigh." I say, gesturing to each of them. Kellin nods his head at them in greeting.
He looks down the alley and tells us, "Hold on." Then he runs to a door and open it. He steps inside and crouches down to become eyelevel with something.
"Hey, it's okay, calm down." He says in a soothing voice. Suddenly, a small child comes out of the darkness and wraps her arms around Kellin's neck tightly. He wraps his arms around her and scoops her up, further comforting the child.
He exits the building he had previously entered, the child still clinging tightly to him.
He returns his gaze to us.
"This is my daughter, Copeland." He says. He then whispers to the small crying girl, "Calm down, I'm okay. You don't have to be scared."
The little girl finally releases her grip on her father and pulls away to wipe her eyes. Kellin gently sits her down on the concrete. When she notices us she quickly hides behind him, shyly.
Chuckling, Kellin's pats her head and tells her, "You don't have to be shy, these are our new friends." She comes out of hiding slightly.
She can't be more then five years old. And in all honesty, she is probably one of the most adorable child I have seen in a long time. She has wavy, dirty blonde hair that goes down to her shoulders and her large brown eyes are puffy and red from crying.
Andy steps forward and crouches down to her level. "Hi," he says with a smile. "I'm Andy."
"Hi," she says quietly, shying behind Kellin once more.
We all laugh a little. Kellin turns to us. "Do you all have a place?" He wasn't really asking anyone in particular, so Heyleigh answers for me. "We used to, it was over run."
He nods understandingly. "Do you think we can travel with you for now? We're safe in numbers, you know."
I give him a welcoming smile. "Of course."
So did you like it?
This is kinda far in the story but I just really wanted to write this scene.
I know it's not the best. I probably could have done better but I'm proud of what I got.
That somehow took me 4 and a half hours to write. I have a very long writing process.
I hope you like it and tell me what you thought in the comments. It would really mean a lot💜💜
And if you have any ideas for what I can do to make it better please let me know!
Btw I've never put out a preview for a story before so yeah...
Also this probably has a few Grammer mistakes in it because I'm not going to reread it because it is currently 5:38 in the morning as I'm publishing and writing this and I want to go t o sleep.
Til next time!
Byee byee!
PS. I'm serious, let me know what you think.
