Story 9

I remember when the snow started falling. It was nearly a year ago now, they said it was normal. Until it started to fall around the world, all at once, seasons be damned. Soon, they realized there was something in the snow, killing us one by one. It was a year of death and chaos and I haven't seen a soul in months.

Animals and humans, all killed instantaneously...everyone but me. I've walked alone for months now, searching for any sign of life, but met with only corpses. Until today nothing had broken the silence, when I heard an unfamiliar rustling from behind me and I turned around.

Staring at me from within the snow, a person, eyes vacant and teeth gnashing. It's skin glistening from the ice it had become. It ran forward, ice falling from it's body and as I ran, eyes scanning the horizon, I saw more bodies being razed and I realized...I was no longer alone
