Chapter 26 -Avoiding

Colten's P.O.V.

Once Ellie and I got back she couldn't stop complaining about how much she missed this place, The beds, the food, And especially the Toilets.

"I Really needed that." Ellie said after she exited the washroom, Causing me to chuckle. "What are you making?" She said looking at me, Where I stood at the kitchen counter cutting tomato's.

"I'm making you some food."

"Thank you, I'm Just gonna go take a quick shower, Okay?"

"Okay." I said before she exited up the stairs.

Ellie has been getting alot stronger and more confident. When she attacked Keith like that you wouldn't believe how much pride sprouted of her being my mate.

Not that I wasn't proud before, I'm just even more now.

Another thing happened when I got back, My wolf won't stop pushing me to mark Ellie. He dosen't want Ellie to get in more trouble and if she's marked She will be safer.

don't get me wrong, I want to mark Ellie. I just don't want to push her.

I have to Keep a respectable distance between Ellie and I, Just so my wolf won't come out and take control.

My wolf Is a pushy guy.

That's not the only problem, My pack. I still have to have a chat with them....

'Pack meeting!' I called in mind-link.

Quickly I finished Ellie's Sandwich and Wrote A quick note saying I'll be out for a bit and she must eat this.

Pack member's were already piling into the Dining room, Most already knew exactly what this was about.

They should know better, she's there Luna. Just because I was Momentarily occupied, dosen't mean They can Do that.

"Colten?" I turned around to see Jake, He was dressed in Black sweat pants, A white t-shirt and he was sweating. He just got back from training.

"Hmm?"

"Aren't you supposed to be looking for Ellie?" He asked, suspicion laced in his voice... Right I forgot to tell him I found her... Oops?

"Nope, She's here, Upstairs actually." I said scratching the back of my head. "I called a pack meeting to say so. Plus I didn't forget about what they did."

"You didn't tell me? I'm her brother I deserve to be told before the pac-"

"I forogt, I have a Pack meeting to go to." I said turning around.

"Ellie already put them in there place well you were gone."

Pride for her just went up...

I entered the room and everyone went dead silent, Having power has it's affects.

I stepped up to the front of the room, Every ones faces were filled with fear, and Suspension of what I had to say.

"Attention." I spoke with clear power. "I have found my Mate Ellie, She was kidnapped but she manged to get herself out of it, Ellie has been going through a rough patch in her life and I am disappointed to have you as a pack." Disappointment was laced in my voice. "A pack does NOT, I repeat does not, disrespect there Luna. Ellie is a strong Luna and wolf, She may be different but it dosen't effect any of you."

"What if it does." I heard someone wisper followed my snickers in the crowed.

I don't think I was supposed to hear that.

I was on top of the guy in seconds, He was in his late 20's, gruff and broad shoulders. Overall he was a wanna-be powerful kinda guy.

"Do you wanna repeat yourself?" I asked with a clenched jaw seconds before I ripped his body to shred's.

"No sir, I-It won't happen again."

"Better not." With that I through him to the ground and stood my ground. " I think you get the point?" I said to the rest of the pack. " If you so much as talk about her with disrespect your head... Will be mine."

I might of been a little tough, But I think they got the point.

Once I exited the room, Ellie came running to me.

Respectable distance, respectable distance, respectable distance.

then she hugged me.

So much for respectable distance.

"Thank you." She said into my shirt.

"For what?"

"For standing up for me." She said pulling away so we were still pressed together, but so she could see my face. "For what you did in there."

"Oh that." I chuckled a little. "Yeah, No problem I have to-"

'MARK HER!'

"Go do stuff." With that I kissed the top of her head and ran out of the pack house, Before I left hurt flashed through Ellie's eyes.

Way to be a coward.

 I could already feel my wolf wanting to take control of the situation and mark her, But I knew she wasn't ready for that, I just needed to be patient and wait. Of course my wolf though is a very im-patient kinda guy.

I needed to go for a run, to calm down my wolf and get away from Ellie, So I didn't do anything I would regret.

Once I was on the tree line, I shifted into my black wolf, Not even caring about my clothes. The wind blew on my back and the pine aura calmed my wolf from the overwhelming smell of Ellie.

It was so calming and peaceful, It only upset me that soo I would have to go back and attend pack duties.

I felt like an asshole, Avoiding Ellie. I didn't want to hurt her though, Forcing marking can be extremely painful. My wolf was on the edge since Marty was still out there doing who knows what.

Finally I gave in, To going back to the pack house. I went in through the back and went straight upstairs to get some clothes, Jeans and a white T-shirt. I was careful to avoid Ellie when I went back down stairs to my office. I didn't want to hurt her anymore, I knew I need to man up and get this done but maybe I could just explain first?

A light knock on the door, Jumped me out of my thoughts and to that intoxicating essence of Ellie- Shit.

"Come in." Manning up quickly, I prepared myself as she opened the door.

"Colten?" Fear laced in her soft voice. "Have you been Avoiding me?"

Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit.

"No, why would I?" I asked as I tried to hide my shaky lie with a light chuckle followed my a smile.

"I don't know."Sighing, She took a step into the room. "Did something happen when I was gone?"

"No."

"Then why do you suddenly fine me revolting?" She groaned as tears brimmed her eyes.

"I don't, Why wo-"

"Yes you do!"

"What do I have to do, to make you realize your all I will ever want and your beautiful." I said standing up, Still keeping a fair distance.

"Kiss me."

Without thinking, I crashed my lips onto hers, Her smooth strawberry lips moved in sync with mine as she gripped onto my hair with her fingers and a soft moan escaped her lips, The kiss was slow and passionate. My hands found there way to her hips and I pulled her closer deepening the kiss, My mouth had a mind of it's own as my touge plunged into her mouth after another moan escaped her lips, fighting for dominance, My mind suddenly clicked as I felt my wolf Starting to Rise.

I pulled away quickly, Hurt flashed in her eyes again. Oh god, You don't know how much I would love to just keep kissing her right then and make all the pain I caused her go away.

"It's not you." I said as my eyes flashed the deep green of my wolfs. "My wolf."

"If your gonna use you wolf as an excuse-"

"NO!" I screamed then clenched my teeth trying to push my wolf back. "I need to mark you."

"What?" Fear suddenly washed through her.

"I'm sorry, My wolf."

"I don't understand."

"He's taking control."

"I'm Sorry." And with that, My eyes were gone to a deep green, My claws were out, my teeth grew and.

My wolf was out.
