Chapter 17 - Which Witch?

I came across a big tree, as I passed it I noticed some weird blood on it, walking backwards I slowly crept towards it and noticed some writing in blood.

"I'll be back."

Marty isn't dead.

I started to panick, my hands getting clammy, my head aceing, and my heart racing. How could i just let my guard down like that, he got away. The one person i truly despise is still alive.

"It must be hard having the one you love, dying and the one you hate alive." I quickly turned around only to see a small old lady, she was caked in makeup and jewellery, her short white hair was in curls, her nails were red and long, as she was short and stubby in a little blue dress.

"Who are you?"

"The real question is what am i." she said with a croaky voice.

"What are you?" i said asking the question she wanted me to ask.

"That's for me too know and you to find out." She snickered. "However i will give you 3 hints."

"Hints?"

"Hints." she confirmed. With that she put her hands up like she was holding up an invisible ball and electric shocks started to erupt. She spread her hands farther making them bigger and bigger.

"Hint number one." She said as she threw it at me.Making another one, she threw it again, as i did somersaults and flips to dodge them.

"A god?" I said knowing she wouldn't stop until I asked.

"No, smart, but no." she said stopping, then she went down the the ground and started to push on the ground, all around me a earthquake started, winds blowing hard and i fell off my balance.

"Hint number two." she said as the wind hardened and the ground shook violently.

"mother nature?" I said thinking fast, wanting this all to end.

"I wish." she said as she stopped once again.

Then she took a fighting stance and her bones started cracking, making her more tall and slim, her face was horrifying, her eyes were white, just white nothing else, her teeth went sharp and pointy as foam started to drool out and her nose went straight.

"Witch." i said horrified as i looked up at her. She responded with a loud scream right at me and i could feel all the air coming out of her as my hair flew back. Instantly i took off running, running as fast as my human form would take me. Grabbing tree by tree, branch by branch, as i made uneasy steps as i ran.

I started to scream, i could sense her around me, she was stocking her prey.

And i was her prey.

I hid behind a tree trying to catch my breathe as she got closer and closer. I tried to normal my breathing but it only came out heavy and loud. I squeezed my eyes shut wanting this all to end.

"Oh dear, your right. Come out and get your prize." she said in her small croaky voice.

"I KNOW YOUR HERE!" She yelled in her more horrifying voice as she got more impatient.

Then i made a run for it, pushing my human body to the limit, i tried not letting out a single scream not wanting to give away my place, But when i ran into a very hard wall with my face i let out a small whimper falling to the ground, but i let out a scream when the wall had arms and grabbed me from falling.

"Alpha Ellie?" the voice said as i looked up i seen our rival packs alpha, Alpha Smith. He was a little bit older than Colten, his hair was a dirty blonde that were just above his eyes and he had hard grey eyes and well built.

"Alpha Smith."

"What are you doing on my land?" he said.

I looked around and realized i was no longer on my land. I was at least 50 yards in his land. I also realized why i was on his land because a witch was hunting me down for her prey.

"There's a witch!" i yelled. "she was chasing me, and i was her pr-"

"Alpha Ellie?" Alpha smith cut in. "I should take you home."

"There was a witch." i pointed to were she just was. "she was right there!"

"which witch." another pack member said coming out of the bushes.

"I don't know... You probably think i'm crazy." i said as i looked down at the ground ashamed.

"A little." they said simultaneously.

"But it's normal since Colten is in the hospital." Alpha Smith said as i whimpered at the sound of his name.

"Let me drive you home?" Alpha Smith said and i nodded in reply.

The ride home was fast and quite, it wasn't any awkward silence, just comfortable. As we pulled up to the pack house Alpha smith put the car in park and turned to me.

"Get some rest, okay?" he said looking at me with sincere eyes.

"Okay, thank you Alpha Smith." i said as i pulled the door open but was stopped when he grabbed my wrist and looked at me.

"Call me Blake." i nodded in response. "I know your going though a tough time but Coltens a tuff guy, he'll make it through." he continued as i nodded in response.

"Goodnight." i said getting out of the car.

"Goodnight."

Once i stepped into the pack house, pack members all looked at me. They were probably talking about my wolf.. Again.

Deciding that i wasn't going anywhere and neither was this gossip i decided to schedule a pack meeting for Tuesday (three days) for about my wolf and an explanation.

I walked up towards coltens room had a quick shower rinsing my hair with blueberry body wash, and coconut shampoo and conditioner, i climbed out of the shower dried off and put on my unicorn pj's and brushed my teeth.

After i cleaned up i climbed into coltens bed and fell into a dreamily sleep....
