"Honey, can you come down here?" your mom called you from downstairs.
"Coming mom!" you yelled from upstairs. You made your way down to the living room. "Honey, we need to talk." your mom said. "About what?" you asked her. "About your boyfriend, Ryland." she said as your dad walked through the door. "What about Ry?" you asked her. "You two have been dating for five months now and we haven't met him yet." your dad said.
" Why do you want to meet him?" you asked. "I want to see and meet the guy that my daughter has been seeing." your dad told you. "Okay, I'll invite him to lunch." you told them as you left up the stairs.

"Why don't we go and eat!" your mom said. You all walked into the dining room, sat down and started eating. "Hey babe, I'll be back I have a gift for you in my car." he said as he stood up from the table. "Excuse me." he said facing your parents and going outside to his car. "I don't like him." your dad said. "What, why don't you like him?" you asked. "I don't like him because he seems like a player and I don't want him breaking me baby's heart." he said looking sympathetic. "He's not a player dad, he has only had one girlfriend and that is me." you told him a little angrily. "He could have a secret girlfriend that he's not telling you about." your mom said making you even more angry. "I don't care what you both think! Ryland loves me and I love him back! I will date him if I want to and nothing will prevent me and him from being together!" you said as you stormed out to your front porch only to find Ryland sitting down. "Did you hear all that?" you asked while sitting down next to him. "Yeah, and I'll leave if it makes your parents happy." he said. "Ry, don't leave. I don't care what they think. The only thing that matters to me is that we're together." you said as you intertwined your hand with his." I almost forgot to give you your gift." he said as he pulled out a little box from his pocket. He opened it to reveal a necklace with his and your initials on it. "I love it Ry!" you said as he put it around your neck. " I love you Y/N!" he said. "And I love you back." you said as he pulled you into a kiss.
