He walked slowly to the barrier and leaned on it while looking at the sky. He smiles a little as he can see the quest is completed.

It needed another minute before the barrier could be erected once more. There is a reason why it was called an emergency barrier. It will lock anything from getting inside and getting out of the barrier. The founder made this barrier to give them some time to prepare and do a counterattack once the barrier was deactivated.

Because of this, Albus has a difficult time choosing. He really wants to help Jacob in the fight, but once he deactivates the barrier, the Dark Creature surrounding him will attack the innocent people inside the barrier, and Albus cannot allow that to happen.

Because of this, he decided to make a difficult decision and let Jacob fight them alone.

After the barrier is gone, the people behind the barrier quickly run toward Jacob, who is breathing slowly, and his face gets even paler than a corpse. His entire body starts to rot and becomes a decaying body.

The only reason why he is still alive is that R.O.B makes it so and wants to make a meaningful epilogue for Jacob' journey in this world.

Madam Poppy pushes the other away, kneels next to Jacob, and checks over him. After checking him for a few seconds, she looked at Jacob with a sad expression before shaking her head.

Jacob gave her a small smile before looking at Harry Potter, who was standing near him.
