"Well, well. Who would've thought I'll meet you here?"

Renjun looked up from his book, a finger pushing his glasses back onto the bridge of his nose. Eyes following the boy, who walked and sat on the chair right across from him. Taking a few books and files from his bag, the boy was busy with everything and when he was finally settled he looked up to see Renjun staring right back at him.

Donghyuck quirked an eyebrow. "What?"

"What are you doing here?"

"To study, duh?"

"I know that but why in front of me?"

"Look around you dude, this place is packed"

And he wasn't lying. Renjun was so focused on his book that he didn't realized more and more students were coming into the library. Sighing, he just went back to writing in his book not trying to question the boy any further.

"Hey, what's Meiosis?", Donghyuck asked.

"It's the process when single reproductive cells divide into even smaller reproductive cells containing half of the genetic information that the original single cell had", Renjun answered without looking up from his book.

"Ohhh", Donghyuck nodded, leading Renjun to look up. "You understand that?"

"Yeah, it makes sense", Donghyuck replied nonchalantly. "I don't know about you but my new tutor has been helping me a lot in my grades, you know? Plus he's hot"

"Pretty sure your old one was better but okay", Renjun mumbled, which got heard by Donghyuck.

"Years passed and you still like complimenting yourself, huh?"

"Never did change, but I was still stating facts anyways", Renjun grinned. "Don't forget you got your first ever A for Maths in middle school because of me"

"How can I forget when you boasted about it for a month straight?", Donghyuck rolled his eyes, laughing a little.

It felt new, it felt like nothing ever happened and they're just two friends reminiscing the past together. If only it actually was like that.

"You know...", Donghyuck began. "We miss you a lot"

Renjun stopped writing, and looked up towards the other.

"You never really told us why, and that just made some of us miss you even more", Donghyuck rasted his chin on his palm.

"When are you coming back?", Donghyuck played with Renjun's unoccupied hand using his pen, a habit he always did back then when they were studying together. Renjun noticed, and smiled a little remembering the fun fights they had with their pens back then.

"I...don't know if I'm ever coming back though"

"Deng!!", Donghyuck crossed his fingers. "Wrong answer, buddy. And you still say you know the answer to everything", he chuckled before getting up, going to find books to aid his study session.

"Whatever the right answer is, the rule states that you still have to come back. It's compulsory, kiddo", Donghyuck said before walking away, leaving Renjun many thoughts in his head.

My update schedule for this book is getting very messy lol I apologize, I've been busy with school lately so updates are probably going to be very less frequent from now on T_T but I'm on a small school break now so I'll take this chance to publish more!!

Anyways do you guys have any thoughts? On this? Or anything with NCT in particular? Or even me? I want to interact with y'all more ><
