I walked back from the secondary school. I never wanted to let Gomi and Tani to walk alone. Even if it were only a few blocks away from the high school, I couldn't risk them getting hurt.

I walked back to see one of the twins around the fountain searching through the sea of students. If I would have guessed I am sure they were searching for me. Probably set up by Suoh and Ootori. I shifted through the crowds and hid behind those taller than me and found myself in the main hall. Looking back to see if any one of them were following me before I crashed into someone.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't-" I looked to see the student I was currently drawing. "Sorry I wasn't really looking where I was going."

"No I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been standing in the middle of the hallway." His voice was different. A bit feminine just to match his features. Wait, his features, voice, the dress he was being chased around with. He was actually a she. Not that it mattered but why was she pretending to be a boy. Stop it Akita, don't be so insensitive. "I'm Haruhi Fujioka."

"I'm Akita Hasegawa, but I go by Niko. Pleasure to meet you Fujioka." She smiled at me and a voice interrupted us. If her eyes could roll to the back of her head I am sure they would have. I saw Suoh approach us as he nearly toppled over Haruhi.

"Now is not the time for confrontation, especially surrounded by classmates." He blocked me from Haruhi and I backed up. Clenching my jaw before trying to put away any thoughts.

"I don't know what you mean by confrontation, I had accidentally bumped into Fujioka and was apologizing for my mistake." I quickly turned on my heels and began making my way to class as Suoh began concerned about Haruhi. Once I reached the classroom I saw a note on my desk. It could have been anyone, but I knew who it was really from. The rose stamp as a signature could only have been from the Host Club. I picked up and discarded it in the trashcan before sitting down. Now that I met Haruhi, I could finally finish my drawing of her.

I looked up to see Tamaki moving towards my desk but the bell rang. He immediately sat down in his respective desk. I was literally saved by the bell. Setting my journal aside I began taking notes. An exam was coming up I had to be well prepared. Was note taking really necessary when I already knew exactly what was happening in the class. Nothing was exactly new to me, despite having summer courses and several lectures to occupy my time outside of work and school already prepared me for this information.

I was already second rank, although I should be in first but that spot was basically reserved for Ootori. He needed that rank more than me, he was the third son and barely had any chance of being next in line for the Ootori group. However, I knew I was going to be joining whoever my mother found to be a fit group. Of course the intentions were purely for business but I wasn't going to let any of that affect me.

The bell rung and I quickly escaped the classroom before I could have been stopped by Suoh and Ootori. Finding a quiet hallway I waited for them to pass so I could go to my next class in peace. Waiting the very last minute I entered the classroom and sat in my seat as the bell rang. I smirked, I knew Tamaki would be looking. If he wanted to play games, I can do so and win.

Each class I would quickly leave, hide out and enter at the last second. When it finally came to lunch I noticed my usual quiet spots were occupied by the host club members. Instead I walked down the second year hallway and found the small corner I used to occupy last year. That was until Haruhi walked up and apologized quickly.

"Sorry, do you normally sit here?" I asked as she simply nodded sitting beside me.

"Its the only place the others can't find me. Plus it is a lot more quiet than the lunch rooms." I smile at her statement and pulled out my packed lunch. "You pack a bento box? Wouldn't you rather eat what they serve?" She seemed confused and I only shrugged.

"I usually make my own food as well as my brothers. I don't like eating things other people make unless I have seen them make it." It was a strange habit I picked up from when I was younger. I shook the thoughts to my past out of my head and saw her pull out her own bento box.

"How old are your brothers?" She asked and began to eat from her lunch.

"They are both 15, after I graduate they will be transferring here." I smiled.

"So twins?" She assumed and I nodded chuckling.

"They like to put on a show but they both have very different personalities." I began to eat and handed her one of my pastries. She shook her head.

"I can't accept that."

"Please, I always carry one extra just in case." She bit into it and looked at me with amazement.

"This is delicious, did you also make this yourself?" I nod and giggle as she took a bigger bite. "I'm not usually a fan of sweets but this isn't overwhelming like most sweets."

"I love sweets but an old friend of mine always preferred subtle sweetness." I continued to eat my edamame.

"Did something happen to them?" She seemed concerned but I only laughed.

"No, Takashi graduated last year."

"Wait, Mori senpai?" I looked at her and nod slightly. "He never mentioned having another friend besides Honey senpai."

"Well he wasn't one for talking. How do you know them, if you don't mind me asking?" She shrugged.

"They were a part of the Host Club." I nodded slightly looking at the opposite wall.

"Which I am curious about? I don't mean to be insensitive or intrusive but how did you get involved as a female?" She only chuckled.

"So you do know. Well they mistook me for a guy and I have a debt to pay off from last year. I don't mind it though, I don't have a problem with being viewed as a guy or girl. Thats why they are hunting you down, Tamaki refuses to let my secret get out."

"They aren't gonna deport me or have me killed right?" I look at her as she shook her head. "Then I can avoid them as much as possible for the time being." The bell rang and I stood up helping her up.

"Thank you for joining me today. I hope you won't let them know you saw me?" She grabbed her bag And slung it on her shoulder.

"Of course not, why would I give up my only hiding spot." I smile and slowly make my way to my next class. I crossed paths with the twins but they were swept away with a group of girls to their class. I only smiled and sat at my desk to see an annoyed Ootori and confused Suoh in their usual spots. I pulled out my journal and began a new page of notes on Haruhi Fujioka. Writing a few notes I smiled to myself. This was going to be a lot more interesting with a new friend around.
