Y/n walked out to the field. The birds chirping fills the air.

Looking out at the horizon the sun can not yet be seen.

Light blue sky, with the fogs still slowly lifting.

Her gaze was still to her feet,

her arms wrap around herself.

Then..

she moved her gaze slowly up, out to the horizon.

A man.

Slowly walking towards her.

With his coat flowing behind him.

Now standing.

In front of one another.

Y/n :  I couldn't sleep.

Darcy : Nor I. My Aunt.

Y/n : Yes. She was here.

Darcy : How can I ever make amends for such behaviour?

Y/n : After what you have done for Lydia, and I suspect for Jane also.. It is I who should be making amends.

Darcy : You must know. Surely you must know it was all for you. You are too generous to trifle with me. I believe you have spoken with my aunt last night, and it has taught me to hope as I scarcely allowed myself before. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once.  My affections and wishes has not changed... But one word from you will silence me forever.

Darcy : If, however, your feelings have changed... I would have to tell you, you have bewitched me, body and soul.. And I love... I love... I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day on.

Y/n : Well, then. (Takes his hand, caressed his knuckles before kissing them)  Your hands are cold.

Darcy caressed Y/n face with his free hand. Y/n leans towards his hands.

Y/n : And yes... my feelings has changed. Only for the better.

They both lean forward as they lean their foreheads to one another and close their eyes. Birds chirping. The sun peaking out of the clouds. Enjoying each others' presence.

Pacing in front of father's door.

The door then opened, Darcy walking out.

Mr Bennett :  shut the door please, Y/n.

Y/n send a small smile towards Darcy as she was closing the door, while Darcy gives her a loving soft smile.

Mr Bennett :  Y/n/n, are you out of your senses? I thought you hated the man.

Y/n : No papa.

Mr Bennett :  He's rich, to be sure . And you will have more fine carriages than Jane. But will that make you happy?

Y/n :  No, papa. It's not about the money. Have you no other objection than your belief in my indifference?

Mr Bennett : None at all. Well, we all know him to be a proud, unpleasant sort of fellow, but this would be nothing if you really liked him.

Y/n : I do like him.

Mr Bennett : Well.

Y/n :  I love him. He's not proud. I was wrong, I was entirely wrong about him. Even though there were some parts of me that would like to see the good in him at times, but ultimately at the end, I was wrong to think him to be bad or unpleasant fellow. If I told you what he was really like, what he's done.

Mr Bennett : What has he done?

Kitty : Mary, look at him. But he's so....

Mrs Bennett : But she doesn't like him. I thought she didn't like him.

Jane : So did I. So did we all.

Lizzie : I had a feeling that she did like him. But, I think my opinion of him might have swayed her a bit to dislike him.

Jane : We must have been wrong.

Mrs Bennett : Wouldn't be the first time, will it?

Jane : No (chuckle)

Lizzie :  Nor the last, I dare say.

Mr Bennett : Good Lord. I must pay him back.

Y/n : No papa. He wouldn't want that. You mustn't tell anyone, he wouldn't want it. We misjudged him, Papa. Me more than anyone, in every way, not just in this matter.

Y/n : I've been nonsensical. He's been a fool about Jane, about so many other things. But then, so have I. You see, he and I are (sniffles) ... He and I are so similar. (Laughing while crying) We've been so stubborn. Papa, I...

Mr Bennett : (Laughing while crying) You really do love him, don't you?

Y/n : Very much.

Mr Bennett : (sighing) I cannot believe that anyone can deserve you, but it seems I am overruled. So I heartily give my consent.

Y/n : Oh, Papa. (hugs him so tightly while bursting into tears)

Mr Bennett : (He pulls away, wiping Y/n tears) I could not have parted with you, my Y/n/n, to anyone less worthy.

Y/n :  Thank you Papa. For everything. (hug him again, and kisses his cheek) Thank you. I love you, Papa.

Mr Bennett : I love you too, my Y/n/n. (kisses her forehead)

Y/n left Mr Bennett's room, the doors open. Mr Bennett was over joyed for Y/n.

Mr Bennett : (shouted out to no one in particular) If any young men come for Mary or Kitty, for heaven's sake, send them in, I'm quite at my leisure. (chuckling)
