On the bike ride down the street, Luka looked back at Marinette.
Luka: I can tell something's on your mind.
Marinette: Why's that?
Luka: No reason, Just a feeling.
Marinette: It's not me. It's just on you.
Luka: Oh, was it about yesterday?
Marinette: Before coming to your cabin, I heard your phone call. Just being curious.
Luka: That was just Derek. He just wanna apologized for what he and Jenn did in the past. Guess he saw what she was up to.
Marinette: Okay. *Outside of the College Francois DuPont, Luka stops his bike and Marinette gets off the bike and hands the helmet back to him, she kisses him on the cheek and waves goodbye, he waves goodbye and rides to his school. A car pulled up at the school, Adrien stepped out and he saw Nino on his phone. *
Adrien: Hey.
Nino: Hey, dude.
Adrien: So, doing anything after school?
Nino: Just going to the video game store. The new Dance Craze game is out, I'm going there after school to get it. Wanna come with me to get it?
Adrien: Sure. I don't have anything planned for the day.
Nino: Wow?
Adrien: Yeah. I have nothing planned.
Nino: Sweet, dude. Let's go. *They both walked up the steps to the courtyard. In the courtyard, they saw the girls talking and looking happy. *
Mylene: You're gonna be a big sister again.
Marinette: It was a little surprise at first, and we're okay with that.
Alya: I can understand that. Some people today can't have babies, there are always surrogates and adoption. It's good your parents are considering adopting a baby.
Marinette: Yeah. The adoption process takes a long time to go through, so it'll probably be done before the year ends.
Rose: Aww, is it a boy or a girl, and where are going to see her?
Marinette: My parents said it's a girl and we're going to Beijing to get her.
Alix: That's in China, right?
Marinette: Yeah.
Alya: So, what's gonna happen?
Marinette: We'll have to get everything all set up soon. We're just processing the news. *The girls understand that. In the Bakery, Tom got assistance from Estelle. *
Estelle: How does this look, Tom? *She showed him the croissants she baked. *
Tom: Looks good, Estelle. You can restock them.
Estelle: Okay. *She leaves the kitchen, and he checks on Alfonso with his chocolate chip cookie dough. *
Tom: How is the cookie dough?
Alfonso: Pretty good, Tom. About to put them in the oven.
Tom: Perfect. *He puts the cookies in the oven and lets them bake for 1/2 an hour, then he gets the next treat. Then, the phone rang, and he saw Carlos answering the phone. *
Carlos: Tom and Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, how can I help you? *The person talks through the phone; he nods and writes it down on the notepad. * Okay, and who is this for? Mr. Wickles' retirement party. Okay. And address? *He writes down the address and clicks his pen. * Okay, thank you for the order, it'll be ready soon. Thank you, goodbye. *He hangs up the phone. *
Tom: What do we get?
Carlos: A retirement cake for Mr. Wickles, he likes a chocolate blackout cake with chocolate frosting and ganache.
Tom: Okay, we'll get to work. *Carlos handed Tom the order and he headed back to the counter, helping Sabine, Willa, and Jalissa. *
Sabine: Tom, I need to say something.
Tom: Hold on a minute. *He mixed the dry and wet ingredients in an electric mixer. *
Sabine: Okay. Let me know when you're done. *She faced a customer in front of her. * Hello, how can I help you?
Male customer: One lemon meringue pie, please?
Sabine: Okay, would that be a whole pie or a slice pie?
Male customer: A slice of pie, please? *Sabine put in the total for the slice of pie. *
Sabine: That'll be 2 euros, please?
Male customer: Of course.
Sabine: Willa, mind boxing up a slice of pie for the customer?
Willa: Okay. *She then grab a small box, a pie cutter, head to the pie display, and cut a slice of pie, carefully place it in the box and close it up. * Here you go.
Sabine: Thank you. Here you go, sir.
Male customer: Thank you. *He takes the pie and leaves the bakery. *
Sabine: Next, please? *Another customer walked up and placed an order for Sabine. *
Meanwhile, the school day went by in a flash, Ms. Bustier taught the class about the events that happened in the French War and how war veterans help the community. She also set up a little homework assignment for them on what French war citizens they admired most and why. Then in Ms. Mendeleiev's class, they're learning about the urinary system. What it is it consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. The purpose of the urinary system is to eliminate waste from the body, regulate blood volume and blood pressure, control levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and regulate blood pH. The five parts of the Urinary System are the kidneys, renal pelvis, ureters, bladder, and urethra. And the five parts must work together to urinate normally. All parts of the urinary tract—the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra—must work together to urinate normally. For their homework, they have to write a one-page report on what causes the Urinary System and it's due when they walk in tomorrow. In Mr. Tenny's class, his class had a math test and everyone studied, even Lila. They won't know what they got until tomorrow. Then when lunchtime came, today's lunch specials were:
Line 1, Turkey Leg:
Sides: Mashed sweet potatoes, corn on the cob
Dessert: Apple slices with caramel dip
Drink: Apple juice
Line 2, Lasagna:
Line 3, Chicken Sandwich:

Dessert: Fruit salad (e.g. strawberries, grapes, pineapple)

After lunch, the kids start going to their next class. In Ms. Styles' class, Ms. Style graded everyone's clay pinch pots and so far, everyone got a decent grade of it. Then, she moved on to the next project, which is candles. She told them that candles are tough to do but step by step, she teaches them how to model and shape their candle. Then in Coach Collins' gym class, the class is doing Pacer, their Physical Fitness Test. (If you don't know what pacer is, it's designed to measure aerobic capacity, which is characterized by endurance, performance, and fitness. The objective of the PACER is to run as long as possible while keeping a specified pace. Students run back and forth across a 20-meter space at a pace that gets faster each minute.) Some got winded while some just kept going until it was over. Then, the last class is in Mr. Howards' Social Studies, he's explaining about the continent Asia and what are their cultures, traditions, and other interesting stuff about Asia. Then, he told them a homework assignment on the Continent Asia, is Country in Asia they chose and wrote about the culture and traditions that country has. Then, the final bell ringed and everyone started leaving their classes and headed home. In the hallways, Marinette stopped at her locker and started marking her day planner and gathering her history textbook and notebook, science folder with her homework inside, and the Social Studies textbook and notebook.
Marinette: Okay. Just have 3 homework assignments. I'll get them done in seconds. *She closed her backpack, put it back on her back, closed her locker door, and walked out of the building. From behind her, Ivan. Rose and Juleka walked downstairs too. Luka parked his bike and he saw them. *
Juleka: Hey. Taking Marinette home?
Luka: Nah, she's coming with us.
Ivan: Us? To where?
Luka: Well... *Soon, their dad's limo pulled up. The window rolled down and Jagged poked out the window. *
Jagged: Hey kids.
Luka: Dad? What are you doing here?
Jagged: I'd figured I give you all a ride to Bob's record studio. Come on.
Marinette: Are we allowed?
Jagged: Don't be shy. *One by one they go inside his limo, Luka puts his bike in the trunk and gets inside too. The driver takes them to the recording studio where Bob Roth is at. He then tells them he knows what Bob is capable of and what he'll do. But he can make people into a star in seconds. But Marinette wasn't so sure about him. She remembers the last time she met him, and it didn't end well for him. *
