Meanwhile, Marinette and Luka walked inside the building and stopped at the front door, she then went inside her purse and got out the house keys, before she unlocked the door, Luka touched her shoulder.

Luka: Please, Marinette. Can we at least talk about this? *She nodded as she put her keys back in her purse. * Marinette, I'm sorry. And not just a plain sorry. I mean I'm really, really, really sorry. I didn't know why I said that or if that offended you in any way.

Marinette: Aw, Luka... *He then pulled her in for a hug. *

Luka: I thought about it, and I hated myself saying that to you. Please. Please forgive me. *She took his hand and put it close to her face. *

Marinette: It's okay. Don't cry.

Luka: No, it's not. I hurt you and I'm so sorry. *She gently wipes the tear off his face. He grinned at her. *

Marinette: It's okay, you're forgiven. *They both kiss. Then, they go inside. *

Tom: Hi, honey. You're back. *He put the rolls in the oven. * It'll be ready in 1/2 an hour.

Rolland: Yes. Until then, you can help prep dessert.

Marinette: Okay. What are we gonna have?

Rolland: My Baked Alaska.

Gina: Some cannolis.

Rolland: Who said we were making your dessert?

Gina: Well, I want to share whatever option we can have when your Baked Alaska doesn't turn out right. *Rolland growled. *

Tom: Hey, what did I tell you? The last thing we need is for you two to be akumatized again. *Sabine looked over at them and back to the cutting board. *

Bridgette: Good thing that'll never happen again.

Marinette: Sorry you had to walk in on that. *She washed her hands and dried them off. *

Luka: It's okay. It's worse than my parents. *He washed his hands and dried them off too. *

Sabine: Marinette, would you mind walking the dogs before you go to bed?

Marinette: Okay. Right now, or after dinner?

Sabine: After dinner is okay.

Marinette: Okay. *When 1/2 came, Tom checked on the ratatouille, it was all done, he took it out and placed it on the stove, then looked at the steak and it smelled and looked done, he then got it out and placed it on the stove, and he checked on the rolls too. *

Tom: Everything is done. Perfect. Everything is done. *Sabine put a small bouquet Marinette got for her on the table. *

Gina: Beautiful flowers, Sabine.

Sabine: Well, I didn't pick them out. Marinette did.

Marinette: Just a belated Mother's Day present.

Gina: They're beautiful, Marinetta.

Marinette: Thank you.

Tom: Okay, have a seat. *They all sit down and Tom starts serving Ratatouille first, then each person gets 2 slices of steak, and a dinner roll on the side. * Okay, hope you all enjoy what we have made. *Tibbles and Angel share some food and water until Angel gets her stuff soon. *

Gina: I'm sure it tastes good, Tom. *Everyone starts eating and they love it. *

Rolland: This is better than you and I made together. *Marin eats some ratatouille, Gina cuts up a piece of chateaubriand, and Sabine picks up a cup of water and takes a sip. *

Tom: Thank you, mom. *He tried some ratatouille. *

Rolland: So Luka, how did you meet my granddaughter?

Marinette: You sure you want to tell them? *Bridgette picked up a dinner roll and took a bite. *

Luka: It's okay.

Marin: Think you already told us that when you came over one time.

Sabine: Now Marin, he doesn't mind sharing us. Don't you, Luka? *Timmy tried the ratatouille, and he loved it, and Marin ate more of the chateaubriand. *

Luka: It's alright.

Marinette: I'm sure they won't mind knowing. *She placed her hand on his thigh, Luka looked over and grinned. *

Luka: You tell it. *He tried the steak and held a cup of water. *

Mari: Okay. So, we met at a music festival on board the houseboat Luka lives on with his mom and sister called the Liberty. Luka was downstairs and I never even knew my friend Juleka had a brother as she never mentioned him before. Their mom Arnaka told me to go get Luka so they could start rehearsals. So, I went downstairs and found him in the cabin he shared with his sister. Wait, were you sleeping or something?

Luka: Meditating. *Marinette chuckled and picked up her dinner roll. *

Marinette: Yeah, that.

Gina: Aww.

Rolland: My granddaughter has good taste.

Tom: Dad.

Rolland: What? It's the truth. I did the same thing with your mother.

Bridgette: By "good taste", you mean...

Rolland: How I met your Nonna.

Gina: Who could forget? *She tried the steak and Rolland drank some water. *

Rolland: Luka, you mentioned you have a mom, do you have a dad?

Luka: Well sir, I do. He wasn't around much when Juleka and I were little. My mom never told us who he was.

Bridgette: We were stunned when we saw him at your party. *She eats some more, and Marin finishes off his roll and eats some more steak. *

Rolland: Who was it?

Bridgette: Jagged Stone.

Rolland: Never heard any of his records. *He drinks more water and Bridgette hands Timmy another roll. *

Gina: I think I heard of him before.

Marin: You have?

Gina: Yes. He had a show in Venice once.

Marin: Cool.

Luka: He's trying to have the father type back from missing those years he didn't have with us. And he's getting there. *Marinette eats the last of her ratatouille and takes a sip of some water. *

Tom: That's good to hear. As you know, Dad and I didn't have that connection over the years.

Rolland: Yes. But thanks to my bambinos, they convinced me to come to see my son for his birthday. And to this day, I have that bond back with my son.

Sabine: It was nice of them to do that for you.

Marin: I heard a funny joke the other day. *Luka takes one last bite of his roll and eats more of his steak, Marinette drinks the last bit of her water, and Sabine takes the last bit of her ratatouille. *

Bridgette: Is it funny that you said it is? *She cuts up her steak and takes a bite. *

Marin: I said it was funny, didn't I?

Tom: Tell your joke, Marin.

Marin: Thank you. *Bridgette rolled her eyes and kept eating her food. * Why can't you hear a pterodactyl going to the bathroom?

Gina: Why?

Marin: Because the "P" is silent. *Timmy and Tom laughed. * Told you it was funny.

Bridgette: Eh. Basic. *She eats some more

Marin: Think you can do better?

Bridgette: Maybe. *She snickered. * What did one toilet say to another?

Marin: What?

Bridgette: You look flushed. *Some laughed at that. Then, throughout dinner, it was time for dessert. Rolland revealed the Baked Alaska he made. *

Rolland: Here's the crown jewel: Baked Alaska. *He showed them the Baked Alaska he baked, got a lighter, and lit it up. Everyone was awestruck as the flames went out, he served everyone a slice. * Tell me what you think. *They tried the Baked Alaska, and they loved it. *

Tom: Not bad, dad.

Rolland: Thank you, Tom.

Gina: Hmm... I'd take it back, it's pretty good.

Rolland: Thank you for being honest. Shall we try your cannolis?

Gina: Oh, yes. Hold on. *She stands up, heads to the counter, and holds out a platter of cannolis she made. * Who would like some cannolis?

Marin: I'll try one. *Bridgette takes another bite of her Baked Alaska and Timmy licked the meringue off his lips. Gina put one cannoli on Marin's plate and he tried it. * This is good, Nonna.

Gina: Glad you like it, Marin. Who else wants some cannolis? *Some answered yes while Gina put some on their plate and they all enjoyed their dessert. After dinner, Luka gets ready to head back home. *

Luka: Thank you for today. I better head home.

Gina: Oh, Luka. Before you go, have some more cannolis. *She handed Luka a plate of cannolis wrapped in plastic wrap. *

Luka: Thank you, Gina. My sister loves cannolis.

Gina: I'm glad. *He said goodbye and left the house. *

Rolland: I better head home too. Think we had a hectic Sunday today.

Bridgette: Let's just hope this won't happen again next year.

Marin: It better not. I think Nonna knows now to ask us what we want rather than assume.

Tom: I'll take you home, Dad.

Rolland: Thank you, son.

Tom: I'll be back. *He and his started waking. *

Gina: I better get back too.

Timmy: Can't you stay here for the night?

Gina: I wish I could, but I have a long way back to Italy. But don't worry. I'll be back again for a visit. Real soon. *They hugged their Nonna goodbye, and she got on the motorbike and rode off. *

Sabine: Okay, while your dad is out, let's get ready for bed.

Marinette: Have to walk the dogs.

Sabine: Okay, you do that, Marinette. *She grabbed a leash for Tibbles, she hooked it on his collar. *

Marinette: Come on, guys. Time to go for a walk. *Tibbles and Angel start moving outside. *

Sabine: Don't go too far.

Marinette: I won't. *She keeps walking them in the neighborhood and Sabine lets the others inside and closes the door. *

Then in the Liberty, Luka walked inside, his mom was reading a book when she heard the door open.

Anarka: Ahh, lad. How was your time?

Luka: It was good.

Anarka: Whatcha got there?

Luka: Oh, Marinette's grandma made some cannolis.

Anarka: Oh, cannolis. Can I have one?

Luka: Sure. *He removed the plastic wrap and Anarka tried one. *

Anarka: Mm. It's good. So, how was your time over there?

Luka: Just meeting Marinette's grandparents. And we told some jokes.

Arnaka: That sounds like fun. You'll have to have Marinette meet your grandparents one day.

Luka: Yeah. Hopefully one day.

Anarka: That's nice you met her grandparents. Maybe someday you can ask Marinette and her family if they want to come over sometime.

Luka: Okay. I'll ask her next time.

Anarka: Here, give your sister a cannoli.

Luka: Okay. *Snowflake gets off of his lap and Luka gets the plate of cannolis and goes into his cabin, where he sees Juleka reading a book. She looked up and saw Luka. *

Juleka: Hey, you're back.

Luka: Yeah. Want a cannoli?

Juleka: Sure. *She takes one and eats it. * Mm. It's good. How was it?

Luka: It was okay. (Should I mention what I told Marinette? I don't know. She has forgiven me, so no use in telling her that.)

Juleka: Anything else?

Luka: (I can't keep her in the dark. I have to do this.) S-something happened earlier. Hold on. *He heads back to the kitchen and puts the cannolis in the fridge then comes back. * Anyway, I said... something hurtful to Marinette.

Juleka: What did you say to her? *He looked sad. *

Luka: I said she was annoying. I regretted it when I told her that. Eventually, I apologized, she forgave me, and... think we're okay.

Juleka: What made you say that?

Luka: I'm sorry. She was questioning me, and it just reached my boiling point. I was already paying for it.

Juleka: She forgave you, didn't she?

Luka: Yeah. But I still feel bad for what I did. I don't think this guilt will go away. *Juleka felt bad for Luka. Saying something mean and hurtful to someone is hard to forget after an apology. *

Juleka: I'm sure it'll get better. *Luka sighed. *

Luka: I hope so. *Meanwhile, after Marinette walked the dogs, they headed to bed and she headed up to her room, she sighed as the Kwamis came out and floated towards her. *

Marinette: What a day. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. Better get some sleep, night everyone. *They say goodnight to Marinette, and they go to their spots as she gets ready for bed. *
