A/N since this has (at time of writing) almost 7k views I decided to make a bonus chapter. It's short but sweet.

Centuries had passed and I remained in wait for Shockwave. Onyx Prime had informed me that he had fallen ill and was close to crossing realms, so I continued to remain vigilant for the one that won my spark. I didn't like how much he was suffering, even though our sparks never united I could feel it. I could feel his illness creep into him and I could feel the slowing of his sparkrate as if it were my own. Then, it all stopped.

I looked up from the rock I had been using as a sort of perch and my optics went wide as I saw his form gently fall from the sky. It landed delicately in a patch of soft grass and I immediately took off towards him. Shockwave sat up and seemed confused before getting tackled by me in a loving embrace.

"Y/D?" Shockwave asked.

"I've missed you so damn much!"

"Illogical."

"I know."
