I watched from Predaking's side as Knockout unloaded the synthetic energon cubes, the green glow catching my curiosity. My attention then wandered over to Knockout, specifically as he and Shockwave discussed something that I didn't bother to pay attention to. I then felt Predaking nudging me, and I looked down at him with a curious look.

"What is it, Predaking?" I asked, looking over to see Starscream pandering to Megatron about something. I slowly stood up and made my way over to investigate, Predaking following close behind me.

"Unruly beast!" Starscream snapped, a metal pipe in his servos.

"I hope you aren't intending on harming Predaking with that Starscream." I growled, towering over the seeker.

"Why do you insist on defending him like this?!" Starscream snapped, his wings stiff in irritation.

"Why do you insist on being a waste of energon!" I retorted with anger, my fangs bared in agitation.

"I've had enough of you!" Starscream barked, striking me with the metal pipe and leaving a massive dent in my chest. I stumbled and grunted as I fell on my aft, my servo grabbing the wound. Predaking was enraged by this and charged at Starscream with a shrieking roar. Starscream scrambled backward, and we all watched as something remarkable happened. The various armor plates on his frame shifted, and he revealed his bipedal form. I stared in awe and pride at the young Drakas.

"You do not strike an Eldarth! We are no beasts!" Predaking snapped, turning to me and helping me up. "Are you alright?"

"I will be. It's nothing too serious." I said, a huge smile on my face as I gazed into the golden optics of Predaking. "I am so beyond proud of you."

"Wait... the beast is capable of transformation?!" Starscream panicked.

"More than that." I said, turning to the stunned mechs. "What you just witnessed is sacred to our kind that few learn to do."

"But how is that possible?" Megatron asked, shooting Shockwave a questioning look.

"Transformation is fundamental for Cybertronians. There was just no evidence that they reached that evolutionary stage since they were suposidly wiped out firing the Great Cataclysm." Shockwave explained. "However, I was not fully aware of Y/D's origins. Now, it all is clear.'

"You've been keeping secrets. Both of you." Megatron said sternly.

"No, you just never asked the right questions." I said. "For example, you asked how old I was rather than what era I was forged, or how I know the Old Tongue rather than why I know it. It is not deception."

"That explains quite a bit." Starscream grumbled as he stood.

"I believe the human term for this situation is 'cat's out of the bag'." I said, looking over to the developing protoforms. "We won't be alone anymore."

"This is... unexpected." Megatron said. "If I am understanding correctly, you are the last of the original Predacons."

"Correct. I apologize if you felt like you were deceived. It is my prerogative to ensure the knowledge of the past is kept safe and passed down properly." I then looked over to Predaking with another proud smile. "It seems I was somewhat successful."

"More than somewhat Eldarth." Predaking said. "You can pass down your knowledge to the others as well! We can bring back our kind to their former glory!"

"It would have to be under your command then, I am far too old and... unfortunately, too weak at this point to do so myself." I said, looking over to Shockwave.

"We have much to discuss it would seem, specifically Predaking and I." Megatron said. I watched as he and the others left, leaving Shockwave and I alone.

"Y/D, what is the logic behind the withholding of such information?" Shockwave asked.

"Call it Predacon Logic Shockwave. I am sorry if this was a surprise to you."

"In truth, Y/D, I had my suspicions for some time. This only confirmed them."

"You aren't angry with me, are you?" I asked sheepishly.

"No, Y/D, that would be illogical. However, this new information may help with your Cryosis treatments."

"I'm afraid I don't understand." I said, curiously watching the mech as he went over to his stash of chemicals.

"Biological composition in Predacons are different, thus opening a potential door for putting it in remission." Shockwave said, creating a new dose of my treatment. I went over to the medical berth and sat, waiting patiently as he injected the new treatment. I felt a new wave of relief hit me, a bit of energy returning as well.

"That... that feels nicer." I said with a small grin.

"It will take time to analyze the results. However, I believe we must return to the Nemesis for now. The vehicons will guard the protoforms in our absence." Shockwave and I then went through a ground bridge and entered the Nemesis. We then went and found Megatron speaking to Predaking,  the pair looking over to us.

"Shockwave, there is something I must discuss with you, alone." Megatron said.

"I shall watch over the Eldarth." Predaking said, Shockwave nodding and following Megatron.

"What was it that Megatron wanted?" I asked curiously.

"He was questioning if I was to remain loyal to him, which I am. However, I do not know if it is the wisest of choices." Predaking said.

"As far as I know, Megatron can be deceitful. If I may, I would advise making sure he does not trick you." I said, a gentle servo placed on his shoulder. "But I know you will make the right choice." Predaking gave me a small smile in response.

"I have you to thank for this. I doubt i would have even known who I was or where I came from if you hadn't shared your wisdom." Predaking said. "I believe you are, in fact, more that worthy of the title of Eldarth."

"I am honored Predaking, and I shall do what I can to continue to guide you through uncertainty when the other Predacons finish developing and are ready to enter this world."

Little did either of us realize that we were both about to be deceived by Megatron in the worst way possible.
