Normal Pov

You were a quite skilled trainer in the Hoenn region, and currently held as hostage by Team Magma.

Their grunts kidnapped you while you were around Route 121 training your Pokémon for the next gym battle.

And not only for that, but you and the champion, Steven Stone, had joined forces to investigate about Team Magma's evil plans and such.

So, the personal of the team was ordered to capture you in order to lure Steven into a trap.

And supposedly, you were the one who was should have a rough time, being held captive, but it was quite the opposite;

The employees were having a rougher time handling you.

Firstly, Zinnia was left in charge of you, but had no hope after already 30 minutes of your insults of her having a fake chest to try to impress Tabitha. It was really fun seeing her get mad.

After that, she practically begged Courtney to take care of you. The purple haired, emotionless woman pretty much had to accept.

But you weren't stuck with her long either; You teased her, always trying to take off her hoodie, until she grabbed you by your ear and dragged you to their boss' office.

"Master, i don't like asking things of you, but please, take care of this brat, i can't handle her any longer!" Courtney whined rather pissed, which was unusual.

Maxie frowned a bit at first, but after seeing his usual calm assistant, he assumed that you were quite a handful.

"Alright, i'll take care of her", he decided, glancing at you who were returning him a glare at first, "You can go now, Courtney".

And with that, the purple haired young woman left the room, leaving you alone with their boss who didn't seem to care much as he went back to his work.

You frowned slightly before scooting next to the sitting male.

"Soooo- what are we going to do bossie?" you hummed, making the red haired males' eye brow twitch in slight irritation. Already.

"I am going to do my job and you are going to do whatever that doesn't bother me" he replied, clearing his throat afterwards.

"But that's boring!" you whined.

"Deal with it"

You stared at him from that specific angle, trying to figure out what you could do to get on his nerves. Until his glasses caught your eye, causing a smirk to curl up your lips.

"Hey bossie" you said, poking his forehead, "Are those glasses real?"

"What do they look like? plastic ones?" the male responded irritated, typing something on his laptop.

"I mean, if you take them off, can you still see or not?" you said, rolling your eyes in annoyance.

"That's nothing of your concern.." Maxie mumbled, "And stop calling me bossie".

You had a hunch that the beloved Team Magma leader couldn't see if someone were to remove his glasses, so you sat onto his desk and removed them in a quick movement.

"W-Wha-.. Give those back" the male growled, not bothering to try to grab them back since he could only see blurry without them.

"Nope" you hummed childishly, tipping his nose, "Unless you get me some glasses too".

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me! I want some glasses too, they don't have to be real" you grinned.

"Then what is the point in getting some in the first place if you don't even need them to see.." He stated, an angry irk mark appearing on his forehead. You could see that he was slowly getting pissed too, and it was fun to watch.

"If you don't get me some, i won't give your glasses back" you teased, smirking.

"And where should i get some?! It's not like i have them in my-.." Maxie held himself back from exploding as he cleared his throat again.

"There's an optician in Lilycove City" you grinned once more, gaining a heavy sigh from the boss.

"Okay fine. But i will only agree this one time" he said, and you could have sworn to see his cheeks redden, probably in embarrassment.

You smiled victorious, before placing the male's glasses back on his face. Maxie adjusted them quick before getting up from his chair and getting himself a black, hooded coat.

"I didn't think you were really gonna do it" you admitted, laughing slightly, "But i guess you didn't really have a choice back there, Bossie"

You heard a "Tch" coming from Maxie who had just put on his coat and hoodie up, "Let's go Brattie"

"Ohhh so i got myself a nickname?" you hummed enthusiastically, following the red head out of the hide out.

...

You spent the whole way to the optician's with teasing Maxie, and it was fun. You had to admit, despite the slight difference between you two's age, it was fun hanging around Team Magma's boss.

Even if this was part of your plan to escape from the hideout.

"So.. Bossie, will you recruit me if i stay with you guys?" you asked pretty much out of the blue as you almost arrived at the shop.

"What do you mean by that? You are staying at our hideout as hostage, nothing less and nothing more" Maxie replied. And now you were in front of the opticians place which you soon entered.

After a little while of looking for some false glasses, you hid behind a corner to send Steven your coordinates, to come pick you up. Even if you would have liked staying longer with Maxie and his crew.

But saving the world was kinda the priority...

You grabbed a pair of black glasses and went back to Maxie, soon putting them on; "What do you think Bossie?".

Maxie almost choked, turning his face to the side quickly while holding his nose, to prevent red liquid to drool down. "P-Please take those off.." 'So damn cute'.

You giggled a bit, but in the end, the red haired male agreed to buying you a pair of (f/c) glasses.

After he had paid the optician, both of you exited the small shop. And you knew that Steven was almost there, so you decided to give Maxie a 'parting gift'.

"Hey Bossie.." you mumbled and stopped walking, the male soon stopping after you.

"Wha-.."

You cut him off by grabbing him by his arm and pulling him down a bit while you stood on your tippy toes. Quickly, you closed the gap between your and his lips, soon forcing your tongue through to hurry things up since you didn't have much time left.

Maxie was shocked, which explained his expression, red face and widened eyes, but he didn't pull away. He didn't kiss back either though, because you pulled away quickly too.

"Sorry Maxie.. but this is goodbye for now" you said, blushing slightly as you stepped away from the flushed male, "I'm sure we'll see each other again".

And mere seconds after that, a Skarmory flew down to you from the skies, with none other than Steven on top of him. The champion was holding out his hand for you to reach for.

That was exactly what you did. After being pulled up and after Skarmory was flying high enough again, you turned around while you held yourself tight at Steven.

You couldn't see Maxie's face from here anymore, but you could tell that he was flustered.

But you believed in what you told him, that you'd see him again. Let's hope we meet again...
