Let Go

Where is, your pride

You're in love, with your yesterdays

You are relieving, your memories

And you, only remember

When things, were good

Not when, things were bad

And, you cried.

Oh why, do you, let him hurt you

He's no good, for you

Don't lower yourself, to his standards

Don't let yourself, be used.

When you were, together, in the later years

The laughter was short, unlike the tears

It came to the point, that romance, was deception

Time together, was a short, chilled reception.

As he used your body, like a woman, of the streets

He took your love, and then, he wade you weep.

And when the parting, finally came

His lies, were justly, to blame.

The feelings you felt, brought you shame

To him, it was, just bed games.

Don't lower yourself, to his level

You're worth, far more, than this.

He would, only revel

With the falseness, of his kiss.

You must open, your horizons

See things, as they can be

Don't live, in the past, go forward

You must, let him go

And, set yourself, free.
