Commander walked through the medical ward. He was going to go see Medic and chat with her in her office for once. He never did that. The last time he did it was when Scout set up a firework prank in his office. He wanted to strangle that boy that day.

As he walked through, he was given looks. They weren't nasty looks, they were more like smug looks. He even heard some medics turn to each other and snicker at him.

He wondered what all of that was about. Commander didn't have a clue. They are acting as if he did something secretive and possibly even erot- Medic.

Commander's face turned beat red as he hurried away. It only got worse when Stranded Medic called to him, "Don't put her out of commission for too long, Charmer!"

The giggling had him full on sprinting away from them. He forgot how chatty the medics could be. Well, at least they did their jobs. That was something he couldn't say for a lot of the other towers here. He should of just ran the other way.

Commander reached Medic's office and gave a hefty knocked. He knew better than to barge in. If he remembered right, it was last year when it happened.

Medic had gotten out of a shower and Commander didn't know. She was changing in her office, which she also used a bedroom. Commander had come down there to deliver her some dinner. Not thinking, he had just barged in.

What a sight it was. Medic wasn't slow about screaming at him about it though. The whole medical ward was picking fun at him for weeks. Well, that horrible memory was starting to become very absolete after recent events.

Even then, Medic would kill him if he just barged in. Commander believed her too. That was a button he was not going to try and press.

After a few moments, Medic's door unlocked and open. The smile on her face was instant. "Look who decided to come down here all by himself! You decided to knock too!" she teased. Commander grumbled. She was not going to let him live that down.

"Come in!" Medic offered. Commander gladly walked in. He didn't have anything on him, it was just himself. Medic found that strange.

She watched as Commander found his way to her bed. He sat down and bounced a bit. It was not as comfy as his, and it smelled old. How old was this mattress even? No wonder Medic was sleeping like a rock on his bed.

"So," Medic started, "Anything you needed me to sign? An injury you wanted to report?" Commander stretched and laid back. Yeah, this bed was trash. "Nope. Just down here on my free time," Commander admitted.

That was odd for Medic. "Oh. So, like you wanted to come down here and inspect? I can assure you, most of my doctors are-" Medic was cut off. "No, not inspecting. Just came down here to bug you. Sound familiar?" Commander smirked over at her.

The look he got was priceless, he wished he had a camera. All of a sudden, he was jumped. Medic wrestled him, but she began to squeal and giggle as Commander poked at her ticklish sides.

Medic kicked her feet around, but she had gotten herself trapped. "S-Stop! Stop it!" she squealed. "No! You tried to get me!" Commander kept on torturing her. The two rough housed, Medic squealing in delight. The two were having some childish fun.

That quickly ended when there was a loud snarl from her closet and the sound of chains being yanked against. Commander jolted and cursed about every curse word he knew.

Sighing, Medic got up as much as she didn't want to. She had forgotten about her pets for a moment. They didn't take too kindly to anyone that wasn't Medic. Now that they know Commander was in here, they would rush him and eat him alive.

"It's okay, I got it. Just don't make any sudden movements," Medic instructed. Commander should of been smart and should of just left, but he was too frozen in place to even make the decision.

Medic took the key from her pocket and went to the closet door. Her pets were getting more aggressive. The last thing she wanted was some angry zombies.

When she opened the door, they sure enough having a fit. They all wanted out, all of them wanting to get to Commander. Medic felt like a mother and these were the children she just wanted to chuck down the river.

"Bad! No! Bad bad bad!" Medic scolded them as they were starting to just be dramatic at this point. The three zombies whimpered and cowered away. Medic has yelled at them, they now fear about getting no treat later in the evening.

Medic huffed, then she sighed. She has been thinking lately. These zombies were never meant to kept in a closet. They should be running free, spreading terror. However, their titan was dead. Where would they go?

Grabbing the steaks from the mini fridge, she tore them open and fed the zombies. They began to devour their dinner as Medic shut and locked the door. Maybe once this whole war thing was over, Medic could pass them off to Molten Boss.

"Motherhood tough on you?" Commander teased. Medic rolled her eyes, "Hardly. They're more behaved then a lot of towers. Including you." Commander scoffed, "I am more behaved than a zombie!"

Medic sniffed at him, "Well, you sure as hell smell worse than one. Forget deodorant?" Commander grumbled, "Thought you would like my manly smell." Medic cooed at him, "I like when you don't smell like wet trash!"

Commander grumbled under his breath. He could never win with this woman. "Fine! I'll shower! But there is something I need you to go do," Commander turned, a bit more serious. Medic stood up, "Sure! What's up?"

"The accelerators have said that Mage has been acting weird lately. As the camp's doctor, I want you to go check on him. Please," he asked. Medic nodded and got her shoes on, "Don't worry, I've been studying zombies long enough!"

Commander nodded and turned to leave, but he was quickly stopped. "Nuh uh! You gotta pay tax!" Medic demanded. "I gotta pay wh-" Commander was cut off after he received a small kiss.

Medic shoved them out of her office and hurried off down the hall, "Bye, Stinkmander!" Commander shook his head and grinned. That woman was everything. Now he began to dread as he remembered he has to walk through the sea of medics to get out of here.

"Medic! Perfect timing! Mage has been acting weird lately, but now he is being super super weird!" Accelerator ran towards Medic and turned to walk beside her. They were currently in their favorite hideout, the old game room that has long been forgotten.

However, the accelerators kept it clean and even fixed the air hockey table. They were not planning to chair that information with the other towers though.

Accelerator lead her inside. All the other accelerators were there too, keeping a reasonable distance away from Mage. The undead tower was in the middle of the room and seemed to be meditating. That wouldn't of set off any red flags if it weren't for him floating a couple feet off the ground.

Medic turned and gave Accelerator a look. Accelerator gave her a confused one back. "Accel, I know you are from the same world as him, but I'm a doctor! I deal with body, not magic!" she scolded.

"Come on! Witch Medic wouldn't even help us out! He has been like this for the past week!" Accelerator begged. Medic groaned, "Okay! I will see what I can do."

Medic grumbled as she walked over to Mage, who seemed to be stuck in a trance. She waved her hands in front of his face, poked at him, and even shook him a bit. There was no response.

For a moment, Medic brainstormed on what she could do. None of her basic zombie knowledge could tell her what was wrong. Besides, Mage was different from a normal zombie. He came from the Void, a world unknown to the towers.

On top of that, he was also a magical being. He was unique. Mage was a medical mystery as he prefered to keep to himself. It also didn't help that Commander refused to give her the permission to strap Mage down and study him. What a fun sucker.

"Is he okay?" Cupid Accelerator asked. Medic tapped on her chin and shrugged, "Hell if I know! I doubt the two titans from the Void know either." Medic turned back to Mage and studied him for a moment.

Her eyes landed on his blindfold. He started wearing it to better concentrate his magic. How he didn't ram into people on a daily basis was a total mystery to her.

Perhaps Medic could poke around. Gripping onto the blindfold, she slipped it down to his neck. Instantly, she stumbled back in surprise as she was met with two very bright moon like eyes.

Accelerator caught Medic and held her up. "What the hell is happening to him? He has never done this before!" Hazmat Accelerator backed off.

Everyone in the room jumped back as Mage suddenly hit the floor. Accelerator raced away from Medic and to his friend despite her warning not to.

"Mage! Buddy! Let's get you up and-" Accelerator tried to get him up, but he was suddenly grabbed by the neck and choked. Weapons were drawn and Accelerator gagged as his air was cut off.

Medic raised her hands, "Hey! Weapons down! Don't make this any worse!" The accelerators looked at Medic, unsure of her orders. Then a cold laugh had them turned back to Mage. The thing was, that wasn't his laugh. This wasn't him.

"The voice and words of a leader. Listen to her, towers. She is smart," Mage spoke, his eyes still moon blinked. Medic took in a deep breath and motioned for them to lower their guns. The accelerators did as told and lowered them.

Accelerator was let go. He stumbled back and grabbed onto his neck. Cupid Accelerator grabbed onto him and pat his back. Their friend was acting weird and they were all scared.

Medic watched Accelerator to make sure he was okay. Thankfully, he was. Her attention went right back to the threat at hand.

"It took someone long enough to lower that blindfold. The magic from it was binding me back. Now that I'm here, I can finally talk to someone. You are?" the possessed Mage asked.

"Medic. I am Medic. Return the favor and tell me who the hell you are," she growled. Mage clicked his tongue, "I was hoping to speak with some of those titans." Medic shook her head and crossed her arms, "The best you are going to get is me. Don't worry, I'll make sure to tell them everything you've said."

Mage grumbled, but took what he could get, "Very well. I am Penumbras. You may recall my name from a couple of moon cycles ago." Now that he mentioned it, it did sound familiar to her. "Yeah, they ripped the letter to shreds. They're still bitter about their friend. We are bitter about ours too," Medic growled.

"Disappointing. Just a reminder, the offer still stands for them," Penumbras spoke through Mage. "Fat chance, they seem pretty adamant on kicking your ass. I'll remind them for you," Medic offered.

"Very well. However, I didn't go through the trouble of getting through to you just to send you a reminder," Penumbras placed his hands behind his back like a gentalman. Medic motioned for him to continue.

Penumbras took a step forward, "My mistress is very displeased about you towers." The accelerators tried to raise their weapons, but they stopped as Medic shot them a glare.

"She would of had her titans if it weren't for you, the pests, throwing a stick into it," his voice began to grow more dark as he walked towards Medic. Medic knew danger when she saw it, but she knew that nothing would happen. He wasn't here to cause any bodily harm.

Penumbras stopped in front of Medic, towering her. Medic looked up, her hands on her hips. She showed no fear for she had none. Penumbras took account of that.

He wagged his finger a bit at her, "That has got her interested. Such tiny creatures, yet they are so smart." Medic was confused, what did he mean by this?

"My mistress wishes not to simply exterminate you. She is quite interested in learning more about you," Penumbras said. Medic wasn't dumb, she knew something was up.

Medic crossed her arms again, "What's the catch?" Penumbras gave a small chuckle, "Smart, are we? All that the mistress asks for is that you surrender and turn on the titans. In return, she promises to spair your kind from instant death and will bring your planet into prosperity!"

Sighing, Medic pinched the bridge of her nose and tapped her foot angrily. "You titans are stupid. Wanna take a magic guess on what the answer is going to me?" Medic gave him a snarky tone.

Penumbras growled, "Even if it involves killing off a couple of you pests, my mistress will get what she wants. You should of taken the deal. Your days are running slim."

With that, the aura of the room instantly went back to normal and Mage collasped to the floor. Accelerator raced to his friend and began shaking him around a bit. "Mage! Wake up! Please let it be you this time!"

Mage groaned and pat around for his blindfold. Accelerator helped it onto his face and sat him up, rubbing gentle circles into his back. "What happened? Did I eat too many toaster tarts again?" Mage asked.

Accelerator snorted, "No, but we can explain it later. You need some rest." The accelerators helped Mage up and out of their hideout to get him back to his room. That left Medic all alone to think about this encounter.

No one on this planet was safe. They had only a few short days until the moon was full. When it was, Medic had no idea what would happen. One thing she did know what that she had to go to either the titans or Commander right away.
