(April's POV)

I watch Don get pummeled into the ground before he joins me. He falls asleep super fast. Part of the hangover, I guess. What was I thinking last night? Everything is super hazy, but I can remember an extremely embarrassing conversation. Something about loving Donnie. I wonder if he remembers.

Now it's not that I don't love Don, I do, he is a really sweet and caring guy. He is so clever and I will admit it, he is handsome. But I guess I just sometimes feel like I can't. It might not last long, considering he is a turtle and I'm a human. Science forbids it. And I don't want to hurt him. It would be better to stay friends than exes.

After practice, everyone moves to the living room. Another episode of Space Heroes is on. Leo just can't let go of the show. It's almost miraculous that his brothers even let him turn it on.

"How you feeling?" Don says as we are tortured by the sound of Captain Ryan's voice.

I shake my leg a bit. Yup, it hurts like the dickens. My shoulder isn't feeling too great either. "I think I need another dose of meds."

Don smiles and helps me up. "Lets go."

"But only pills this time." I say with a corny grin.

Don blushes and said, "Yeah." He probably did remember that conversation. Oh, Chalupa.

I take my usual spot on the counter and wait for him. I watch him as he carefully prepares the pills, rushing around his lab to glance at the charts. It was seriously becoming more and more endearing the longer I watched. His concentration was downright adorable.

He passes me my little pills, and I down them as quick as possible with a glass of water. I sit there staring at Don, his kindness and his loyalty is always steadfast.

Damn science. I think before grabbing his bandanna tails and kissing him. I can't believe I even have the guts in me to make the first move. Don's face is priceless. Surprise, embarrassment, joy, and a bunch of other emotions mixed into his mahogany eyes. We finally seperate, breathing hard and staring into each other's eyes.

"I taste like meds, don't I?" I whisper teasingly.

"No, you taste amazing." He says, and I can't help but smile at his boyish awe.

This time, he grabs my face and softly kisses me.
