Chloe's POV

"Still as beautifull as ever."

"I know, it hasn't changed a bit."

I slip my arm around Max and pull her closer to me.

"I was talking about you silly."

I say before pressing my lips against hers. We smile and stare into each others eyes as we get lost again.
She puts her head on my shoulder as we stare into the sunset.
Oh Arcadia how many adventures we had with you desperate to break free and explore the world and we did but nothing came closer to home as you did.
If I like it or not this town I used to hate ,because of the bad memories, I love it now. Seeing my kids grow up makes me feel like I'm seeing myself grow up again. Seeing Will and the twins reminds me of when me and Max used to have our sword fights and pirate dreams. Dreams that came true. Dreams that became reality after sacrificing so much. Compared to what I have now it was worth every second of pain, every moment I wish I wasn't breathing, that is all in the past and my future is brighter than ever.

"Did you ever think that if... if I didn't move for 5 years do you think we'd be together or?"

"I honestly don't know... you being away made me realize how much I loved you. It made me apreciate you more than anything else something I still do to today."

"Will you dance with me until the end?"
I look at the joint Max is holding in her hand.
I take it from her and chuckle.
"I think you had enough of that."

She grabs her phone and puts on an old song. Like one of those songs back in the 50's where people would slowdance on and fall in love.
A bit like lounge jazz. With those saxophones taking you away into a peaceful dance.

I stand up and offer her my hand.
"May I have this dance?"

She carefully places her hand in to mine and stands up, she puts one hand on my shoulder as I place mine on her curvy hip. Our free hands come together and fit perfectly into one another.
We let the music take us away, our feet parading in the grass like a stream flowing through the rocks. Magical.
Our eyes focussed on each other.
Stuck in an never ending dance, a never ending love.

"You didn't answer my question."
Max says as we continue telling a story of love with our bodies.
I spin her around and then pull her closer to me. My arm holding her like my life depends on it and it does if I'd ever let Max go I would let go of myself.

"Does this answer it."
I kiss her and suddenly the music seems to get louder but in a nice way as if our passion makes everything surrounding us more beautiful.

As we part Max her smile could have made the saddest person feel a spark of warmth inside them. She lays her head on my shoulder as we continue to waltz on the cliff with the sunset in the background. I could just imagine us in a famcy ballroom. The spotlight and eyes of the guests following our every move as they envy how in synch me and Max are. For we wouldn't needs words to explain our feelings, we could do it eith a single smile, a single touch, a single gaze.
Stuck in a moment like this I realize that I would be nothing without Max.
I'm never letting go of her because she is my other half, it would be fatale of she wpuld be gone.

Max's POV

After that magical dance at the cliff Chloe and I went back home to watch a movie and enjoy some cuddling on the couch.
I keep losing my concetration as Chloe her eyes distract me every time I accidentally look at her face.
I can't help it whenever I feel she is staring I look at her and she pretends as if she wasn't staring.
Now I feel it again I turn my head and she pretends to be following the movie.

"So what's the movie about I wasn't paying attention."
I say falling back and laying my head on Chloe's lap.
She looks at me.

"So that guy thinks he made a new best friend and they have this crazy obsession with fighting so they start some sort of club. But brad pitt is actually like his alter ego. So a clasic case like schizophrenia."

"Like Hide and Seek?"

Chloe lools impressed that I remember and focusses her gaze back to me.

"I'm surlrised you remember, yoh passed out mid movie."

She looks back at the screen and grabs some popcorn. I pull her down by her shirt and kiss her.
"Oh no honey that was you."
I say after our lips part.

"Shht I like to make you the stereotypical wife it fits you more."

"Are you calling me a wine mom?"

She turns the tv of and climbs on top of me softly caressing my cheek.

"What you gonna do about it."
I raise and eyebrow at her sassy remark.
I un button my shirt and Chloe looks at me carefully, making sure to catch every glimpse of my body slowly reveiling itself to her.
I love the way she looks at me as if every time I undress it's a surprise she eagerly wants to unwrap.
She never takes her eyes off me and I never take my eyes off her. She's a stunning woman rocking the blue hair for 17 years now and it still suits her. Chloe has changed so much yet nothing at all, we both have.
On the inside we will always be those hormoney teenage girls just discovering they are in love with tjeir best friend. It has been one hell of a ride but if I got the chance to rewond and do it over. I would do everything exactly the same.

"I will always love you. You know that right?"

She whispers into my ear while burying her face in my neck.

I kiss her passionately hoping that will be enough for an answer but I want to say it too.
"I know and you know I'll always love you."

"Till the end?"

"Till the end and beyond."

A dorky smile appears on both our faces. We kiss again every little part of me is in love with Chloe.
Her voice, her touches, her smile, her eyes, I love her with my whole body.
I trust her more than anyone ever.
Love is when you have been together for so long and you just know that this is the person you will grow old with.
This will be the person who will make jokes about our greying hair and gets excited when the children visit. The woman you want to wake up to every single morning. Because when I open my eyes at the dusk of dawn, Chloe is the first thing I see. Chloe is my world.
