He turned to fully face me and did a small bow for formalities.
His body could have easily loomed over me.
"My apoligises miss," He said in a clear tone.
He wore a white, half mask that somehow stayed on his face without any help from hooks, strings or something.
From the medals, cords and ribbons I knew who he was.
I knew him perfectly.
"It's my fault. Excuse me," I said quickly, turning away, trying to get away.
He lightly grabbed my arm with his soft white gloves and I froze.
"Let me help fix it," He insisted, I almost detected a plea.
I agreed, only in fear he would grow suspicious.
He lead me through the crowd and into a hallway.
"May I?" He asked, holding his hand out for the mask.
I was hesitant to pull the mask away from my face but did so, avoiding his gaze.
He pulled out a small pin from his pocket, why it was in there I do not know, and skillfuly pinned the broken ribbon together again so from the outside it seemed like a simple wrinkle.
I reach for it but he held it back and smiled evilly.
"Turn around," He replied.
I exagerated a sigh and did.
He re-tied it to my head like it was a important task and moved my hair around to hide the pin area.
"Thank you," I replied, forcing myself over and over again to be polite as the Twins had drilled into my head.
"Could I have the honor of your name?" He asked.
"Lady Margaret," I replied nervously.
"Well, may I have the honor of a dance, Lady Margaret?" He asked.
I felt my skin burn, "I would but-" "Oh, but I insist." He said, taking my hand and once again pulling me through the crowd of people.
People seemed to move out of his way, making a clear shot for the dance floor.
Sadly enough for me a song had just ended before we reached the center.
He pulled me into a midst of dancers, his hand took mine and the other respectively on my higher waist.
Within seconds we were dancing.
Twirlings in circles for a common waltz.
Snow's instructions were buzzing through my mind like wildfire.
"Calm down," He chuckled as he gave me another twirl.
"I have not been to a ball in many months," I lied, in case I messed up.
"Just follow my lead," He assured me.
He seemed oddly nicer than before. Maybe because he wasn't doing his job?
Once the waltz ended I quickly curtized and vanished into the crowd.
It was of the upmost importance that I escaped his gaze.
As I escaped a wave of thirst took control of my body and I made my way to the punch bowl when a group of girls stopped me.
"Oh, I love your dress." "The color is so daring!"
I was flowered with compliments.
"What is your name?" They asked.
"Lady Margaret,"
"Oh, really? We have a good friend who is somewhere here with her sister, Lady Aries. We have yet to find them." They chuckled.
I smiled sweetly and scurried away.
My need for liquid had discipated.
A thickness of crowd pushed me into tripping out.
As I fell, due to my heels being so foreign, an orange blob hit me.
"Ow!" A frail voice pouted. I pulled myself up, "Are you okay?" I asked the small girl.
She looked at me a smiled.
"I'm fine." She replied as I helped her up.
"Princess! Are you alright? Has this fiend hurt you?" A lady demanded rushing over to us and shoving me aside.
"No, Martha." She pouted, grabbing my hand.
"I love that ring! May I have it?" The Princess asked.
"It's a family heirloom, I'm afraid not,"
"But I want it!" She protested loudly, causing a commotion.
"Do you dare deny the Princess?" Martha gasped.
"No Ma'am, but I cannot give-"
"Princess Coral, you cannot have anything." A voice interupted.
I looked at him gratefully.
"Fine, but you must dance with me!" The little girl laughed, dragging him away.
I let out a sigh of relief.
I then squirmed my way to the outside and breathed the freedom.
Few others were out here.
I took my time relaxing, it wasn't like I had anything to do.
"I found you." He chuckled and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm a country girl. These crowded places don't rub me right." I explained.
I wasn't exactly lying.
"You never told me your name." I pointed out.
"I am Xavier Willow, a royal Officer and Captain." He replied.
"It's nice to meet you." I said, being the only one to know how teasing it truely was.
My ring started to warm, it was time.
"Excuse me." I said.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"I need to check on my sister." I replied, rushing away before he could ask again.
I made my way through the ball room and into one of the many corridors.
I picked the lock on one of the door and stripped the dress's bottom half into the more slender moveable form.
"P. is beginning part two." I said into my earing.
"Roger that." Asher replied.
"Has S. marked in?" I asked.
"Yes, she is predicted to be done in twenty minutes." Asher replied, then beginning to issue me the directions.
I snook throughout the palace which wasn't hard due to most guard being busy with the ball.
When I found the room I quickly inserted the jump drive into one of the many computers.
"Inform B. of installation." I said and watched as Cream began her skill of hacking into the system and deleting anything involving us.
When my ring grew cold I knew it was time to get out.
Now.
"Tell B. I have to go now." I growled.
"She's almost done!"
"Hey, who's in there? Entrance to these rooms are forbiden!" A guard yelled through the locked door.
"NOW!" I snapped into the earing.
"What is it?" A familiar voice asked.
Damn, damn, damn!
I ripped the mask off, throwing it across the room and jerked the window open and hurried back to the computer while pulling my colored contacts out. 98% done.
A harsh snap and the door flew open reveling Officer Xavier and a measely guard.
Xavier grapped his sabre and pulled it out.
"Surrender immediately." He said.
Did he not recognise me?
"What? Me surrender? Officer Xavier, you really disappoint me.
I thought you were better than that." I said, using my lower octaiv reveling my more Panda side.
My hair, which had been held back with the mask and now covering most of my face.
I glanced at the 100% screen and pulled the jump drive out to prevent them from tracking us.
"Panda Hero. Why don't you tell us your real name?" Xavier questioned.
"I'd prefer not."
"Surrender. I do not wish to hard a girl." He replied.
"You won't." I sighed, casually walking to the window.
"You can't escape." He pointed out.
I stood on the windows ledge, looking down the thirty some feet.
"I respect what you do, Captain. I wish I had the strength you do." I said and felt the wind rush past my sides.
