The official and Herc sat down in the mess hall as seven familiar faces strode in. Herc realized that it would be impossible for Tacit or Gipsy to hide their face scars. Tacit's was on his left eye from when the category four, Sin-Tail slashed him on the face with its whip-like tail during his final deployment in Seattle alongside Romeo Blue, before he was relocated to Hong Kong.
"Who are those seven?" The official asked.
"Those seven are basically the adoptees we have on base. You know the girl ranger Becket pulled from the water? She was the first." Herc explained.
"Miss... Gipsy becket if I remember right?" The official asked.
"Yeah, she's the one with the dark hair with red highlights." Herc said.
"Ah, yes... we'll need to talk about that as well... as well as Mr. um... Striker Hansen is it?' The official as one of the seven yelled at Striker after spilling a drink on him.
Striker looked over at the two embarrassed slightly while Sierra glared darkly at him. Herc motioned for Striker to come over to him.
"Be nice." Herc hissed.
"Yes sir." Striker said to the official. "That's my name."
"Where did you come from exactly?" The official asked.
"Australia."
"What agency?"
"Does it matter?" Striker asked
"It very much matters." The official stated.
"I don't remember." Striker shrugged.
"I'm sure you do..."
"Sorry, done recall." After Striker stopped talking the official turned red.
"You would remember the day you were brought here... unless you weren't happy here?" The official gripped Striker's arm hard, making the mark five Yelp in pain and Tacit perked up and looked over at them.
The official frowned and rolled Striker's sleeve up but before he could get a good look something rammed into him. The official looked to see a hulking teenager standing almost seven foot five.
"Ranger Jeannie Lewis, you dare strike a United Nations official?!" The official asked, expecting to see Jeannie looming over him.
"I'm not her." Tacit sneered cracking his knuckles, and the official noticed the scar on his face as well as the scars on Striker's arm.
"That settles it. Both of you are coming with me." The official then grabbed Tacit and Striker by the arm and started to pull them along, but Tacit barely budged from where he stood.
"Where are you taking them?" Jeannie and Herc demanded at the same time.
"Back to the mainland, both of them have suffered possible abuse. They need a better home then this. How old did you say they were?"
"Sixteen!" Striker blurted out then covered his mouth in fear. Tacit just nodded silently in agreement with what Striker said, confirming his age as well.
It seemed like the right age for them, but now Striker wished he had just kept quiet. "They're a minor." The official snapped. "They're coming with me."
"Do we have a choice?" Striker asked.
"Not until you're both eighteen." Herc said sadly.
"LET ME GO YOU SCRAWNY WANKER!" Striker screeched wrenching his hand away from the official Tacit following suite as they shot back to their pilots side.
Striker looked pleadingly at Herc.
"Please, dad." Striker begged, his eyes like a puppies.
"I don't have a choice." Her said sadly.
"Tacit is staying with me." Jeannie growled defending her Jaeger, by stepping in front of him but Herc motioned for her to stand down.
Which she reluctantly did.
The official grabbed Tacit and Striker by the shoulder but was grabbed by two others and thrown aside.
Sierra and Cherno stood, abandoning any all pretences of secrecy. Both were in their half way forms with their armour gleaming on their arms and hands.
Cherno had electricity crackling in his fists while Sierra had his sting blades activated.
"Little man not take Striker or Tacit." The Russian Jaeger snarled.
"If he tries I'll cut him up worse then I did to the kaiju I fought." Sierra growled.
"He'll have to get through us first." Gipsy added chain swords gleaming coyote and Crimson joined them.
The officials eyes looked like they were going to pop out of their sockets as Tacit strode forward and activated his plasma infused blades.
Striker followed suite with his T-16 Angel wings forming on his back, he glared down at the official.
"You're a smart man... I'd guess you've got a pretty clear idea of who... what... my friends and I are, mate." Striker growled. "So I'm going to say this once."
Striker's sting blades clicked into place.
"You take us from our pilots... and we come after you." He threatened. "You tell the UN that the Jaeger program is a wise investment... and that they will continue to fund us and continue to build the mark five and mark five enhanced. Is that clear?"
The man nodded silently.
"And you won't tell anybody about what you saw today." Coyote added. "For your own safety, and for that of our families."
The Japanese mark I walked forward and placed a hand on the man's shoulder.
"Please... we've suffered enough, let us be with our pilots in peace." He pleaded. "If you tell anybody about us, there's no telling what they could do. Gipsy here has the record for being alive without her pilots, five years. Sir."
"Please I can't go through that again." Gipsy breathed as a tear rolled down her face. "The only reason Striker reacted the way he did was that he was injured when fighting a kaiju, and he's still healing, Herc didn't do that to him."
"And him?" The official asked, gesturing over to Tacit, and his facial scar.
"He got his from a category IV, the one that attacked Seattle when Romeo Blue was destroyed. Sin-Tail." Jeannie said.
"You can stay with your pilots however you have to go to school." The official said. "And I'll make sure the UN creates the mark fives and mark five enhanced."
The Jaegers sighed in relief and returned to their human forms.
"However you all still need to go to human school." The official said.
"What school?" Cherno demanded.
"A place normal human children go to learn things. If after six months you can act like normal humans in society, you will not get dissected. I promise." The official said as Herc then said.
"But sir... the breach, it's still open."
"Then do what you did last time, and close it." The official said and both Gipsy and Striker flinched.
"After the new Jaegers are ready for deployment." The official added. He then turned to leave and the Jaegers cheered.
"Great more help." Crimson said.
"Yeah but who will pilot them?" Tacit asked.
"I think we'll need cadets." Sierra said, jumping into the conversation.
"Agreed." Herc said however that's when Raleigh burst into the mess hall.
"Has anybody seen Yancy?!" He asked.
