Flashback - At school during lunchtime

"Hey Y/n " I heard a voice calling out my name and when I turned around I saw my crush Min Jae-in. He was kneeling down in front of me.

"Uh-h Hi " I said out of nervousness.
"Umm I have liked you for a very long time Y/n, so will you be my girlfriend?" he said while looking at me with a smile and hope in eyes. The whole cafeteria went silent for a moment and next was...

"Say yes! Say yes!" everyone was cheering for him. I wanted to say yes but "No, I am sorry. I hope we can continue being friends." I said and walked out of cafeteria while everyone was stunned and staring at me and he just stood up watching me walk away.

Present

"How can I say yes to someone who doesn't even like me for real. Yah! Min Jae-in, you jerk! You thought I would never notice you hitting on my best friend and even worse I could hear your nasty thoughts about other girls all of the time" This has been a curse to me. The ability to hear people's thought.

It always felt like I was invading there privacy but turns out it came in handy sometimes. I can't believe I end up liking someone with that kind of personality. At first I couldn't hear what he was thinking until one day we shook hands and my ability started working.

Let's make it clear. So basically Y/n has a superpower ever since she was born , she could hear people's thoughts once her skin came in contact with the person. That's how she's been living for past 17 years and now it happened to be with her crush.

Back to Y/n's pov
Because of this strange power I ended up losing a lot of things, friends and even my parents. Whenever or wherever I would pass through people, even the slightest skin ship would allow me to hear their thoughts and that made me realize how fake this world is. All of us are wearing a mask.What we speak is all filtered but thoughts can't be filtered. That's how I saw the evil of humans.

Finally arriving home I went straight to the bedroom. "It was a hectic day I can't believe what actually happened today. Why he has to be like that? No one is honest, even with their feelings. I should've known love isn't and will never be for me." Unknowingly tears slipped through my eyes. Although I knew I would end up like this yet I gave it a try and here I am hurt and broken cursing myself for not being careful. Just like that I fell asleep, crying.

Few hours late
I woke up from my sleep only to find out I wasn't in my bed neither in my room I was somewhere which looked totally unfamiliar. When my vision got a bit clearer, I noticed my surroundings.

The floor- actually no it wasn't a floor but .....ground? I was lying on ground which was blue. When I looked around a little more, I found myself near a lake. Despite of my situation one thing was sure, this place is beautiful. A clear lake, night time, sound of grasshoppers, tress cross the banks and a full moon. The moonlight was bright and beautiful that I could see the reflection of trees on the water. It was a paradise.

"Is this heaven? Wait! Am I dead?! Did I cried myself to death? It's not possible right? Is it?!! This can't be" at this point I started panicking. I can't die just because of that insolent punk!

"Can you keep it low please. Your continuous shouting is making my ear bleed." A voice came from somewhere and when I looked at the direction.
