Y/N's POV (Sunday night)

I had to do a lot of school work. I had to study for the exams which were starting the next Monday. I was on my study table trying to solve sums related 'Newton's Laws of Motion'. It was tiresome. Unconsciously doodling Newton's face in my notebook, I realised how much I was missing Mom. At times like these, she would bring me snacks and drinks and tell me not to stress too much about the exams. I could feel my face heat up as tears roll down my cheeks. I jumped on my bed.

"I miss you, mom!" I whispered, bringing my knees to my chest and rolling up into a fetal position. Losing mom was quite unexpected, one day she suddenly started to throw up and was not able to eat anything. After a week at the hospital, she suddenly left us. Dad? He was always out of town. He would hardly come home for three days a month. The longest time we spend together was after mom passed away. He was with me for one whole month and later we decided to move as the old house used to remind me of mom and I used to break down almost every day when I was alone at home. That's how dad agreed to move to Korea.

I could barely keep my eyes open and I dozed off.

~NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL~

Jimin went back to act cold towards me as usual and, I was surprisingly being ignored by Hoseok as well. I was perplexed, I had no idea what I had done to him. He did not even answer my calls this weekend.

While Taehyung and I were having lunch together

"Taehyung-ah, do you know why is Hoseok mad at me?" I asked Taehyung.

"He's mad at you? I did not know that." He replied.

"You must be imagining it." He added.

"Where is he now?" I asked.

"He must be playing basketball with Jungkook." He replied.

"Hmm. Okay then, I am off first!" I said rushing towards the basketball court.

As I arrived there I spotted them playing basketball with a few more kids. I called Hoseok several times, I waited till their game got over but I was ignored. I thought I would talk to him while heading back to class. A sat on the bleachers and waited till the bell rings.

Soon the bell rang and I started to chase him

"Yah Hoseok!! wait for me!! we need to talk!!" I yelled running behind him. I could not keep up to his pace suddenly

"Ahh!!!" I trip and fall on the ground. While trying to get up I could feel my knees burning. I scrapped my knee. It was harsh of him to ignore me like that. I could not walk properly, I was quite hurt by his behaviour.

I harshly wiped my tears and quickly headed to the washroom to clean my wound.

JIMIN's POV

During the lunch break, I was watching Y/n the whole time. She was trying to talk to Hoseok but he kept ignoring her. It seemed like she hurt herself while running behind him. He did not seem to notice. I was feeling bad for her.

Just before the teacher entered the class she rushed to the seat next to me limping (A/n: They are bench mates. Remember?).

The Teacher entered and the class started. She usually gets bored listening to the teacher and starts chatting with me even if she knew I would ignore her. But today she was acting different, she was staring at her bandaged knee with an annoyed expression on her face. I was worried about her unusual behaviour so

"What happened to your knee?" I asked to which I got no response.

"Y/n!" I called her again.

She turned her head. I could see her puffed eyes and red nose because of crying. It made me want to punch Hoseok in his face. How could he make his own best friend cry!?

"Nothing! nothing happened! and why do you even care? Aren't you the one who told me not to you talk to you. So focus on the lecture and don't mind me!" She said at one in anger.

It was the first time I saw this side of her. She would always talk to me cheerfully even if I ignore her. I could see that she was on the verge of crying again.

~

The last bell rang and Y/n was limping and heading towards the classroom door. I thought to myself I should help her but it also hit me she told me to stay away from her. I quietly followed her until the main entrance of the school. I could not see her hurt. Without giving a second thought I quickly ran to her and held her wrist. She was surprised to see me. Anyone would be, I was the quiet one who did not care about anyone.

"Yah let go of my hand!" She yelled at me.

"What's wrong with you today? Can't you mind your own business like you always do?!" She added.

I still did not let go of her hand.

She stared at me as anger covered her face.

"Can you go home alone with that leg of yours?" I asked her patiently.

"Yeah, why can't I?" She yelled back.

"I don't think so," I said as I let go of her wrist. I grabbed her backpack put it over mine and kneeled backwards in front of her.

"What are you doing?!" She yelled again.

"Hop on! I'll carry you."

"Yeah.. are you kidding me-" I did not wait for her response, I just picked her up and started to walk.

"Yahh!! PUT ME DOWN!" She yelled again. She put her arms around my shoulder so that she doesn't fall and I got a good grip of her as I held her thigh.

"NahI said playfully and started running.

"PARK JIMIN!!" She yelled, gripping my shoulder tightly.

Y/N's POV

Jimin was acting weird today. He started the conversation for the first time. When he saw me struggling to walk he suddenly grabbed me and now I am on his back. I was annoyed at first then I thought it was better than limping. I let him piggy-back ride me then I realised he was not heading towards the direction of the bus stop.

"Where are we going?" I asked in a cold tone.

"You'll see," he said smirking.

"Whatever," I replied. His back was different from what I imagined. It was warm and comfortable. He was the first person who carried me. I had never ridden someone's back before. Soon we arrived at a convenience store.

"Wait here," he said as he placed me on a chair.

He went between the shelf and returned with two packs of banana milk.

"Drink it." He said handing a pack to me.

"Thank you," I said as I took it from his hand.

"Now tell me what happened." He said calmly as he sat beside me looking me in my eye.

I could not hold it in and I told him everything ut that happened that night till today at lunch.

"I don't think you did anything wrong. He must have misunderstood something." He said looking at me with a calm face. He did not seem like the old Jimin he was different today.

"Give him some space. Let him realise his mistake." He added.

"Umm... yeah," I said looking down.

"Have you finished your drink?" He asked.

"Nah not yet," I said shaking the pack.

"I always come here to have this drink when I am sad. It helps me calm down." He said looking outside smiling. It was my first time seeing him smile.

"Jimin you are acting quite different today," I said looking at him confused.

"Yeah really?" He said laughing.

"You are caring towards me today, you always push me away when I try to talk to you," I said.

"Ahh sorry about that, it's just that I lowkey don't like to talk to new people. I don't like small talks. Don't worry I'll not treat you like that from now." He said smiling. Omg!!!!! Why is he so good looking. He made my heart flutter. It's cute how his eyes turn into crescents when he smiles.

"Friends?" He said lifting his hands in front for a handshake.

"Yeah. Friends." I said, smiling and holding his hand.

He then gave me a piggy-back ride home. I dozed off on his back clinging onto him tightly. His back was comfortable and I liked his scent.

He woke me up when we reached my house. I had given him my address before dozing off.

He took the keys from the backpack and pulled open the door.

The next thing I saw was my Dad standing in front of us while I was still on his back.
