"You look gorgeous." Mia complimented as I smiled. Football was obviously the most loved sport in every university, therefore the first home game of the season was taken serious. Every athlete team was required to attend to show support. I was wearing the Stanford football shirt that David had bought me with a mini denim skirt. Mia was straightening my hair for the first time as I did my makeup. I liked how I look straight hair but it didn't feel like me, so normally I would curl it a bit. Maybe once every month I'd straighten it. "Okay you're perfect, let's go." Mia spoke as I nodded. Grabbing my handbag as we walked out of our apartment.

We walked to the stadium, the red colors elaborating the stadium in every corner. We were supposed to go the lower bowl of the stadium, right next to the end goal so the media team would see us right away. Soccer were in rows 1-3, basketball in 4-6, tennis in 6-8 and so on. The cheerleaders didn't need rows as they were cheering in the sidelines along with the dance team. I looked behind me as I saw Tashi and Art in the corner of the tennis section. They were always together and I always wondered why. However I felt bad for Tashi, she has gotten injured in her first match, it was scary. Me and Mia witnessed her injury and it felt like the world had paused. Art ran across the court to help her and the opponent dropped her racket at the sight of Tashi on the floor sobbing.

We smiled as a photographer came around to take our team a photo. Me and Mia smiled with our lemonades as the camera flashed a few times.

I had never seen an American football game before, but the vibes and emotions were immaculate. So many people were cheering supporting their school. It was Stanford versus Washington State so there were very few Washington State students and fans. I watched David, he was very fast and held the ball for a longtime. He scored two touchdowns so it was insane to see 20,000 people cheering for him and the team. Stanford won the game from 46-23 as confetti was shot to celebrate. Students and family were welcomed to go to the field to celebrate with the players as I looked at Mia. "Are you gonna go?" She asked as I tilted my head. "I'm not sure if I should." I replied as she nodded. "I feel like he's probably expecting you." She spoke as I nodded. She was probably right. "Ok, I'll meet you in our dorm." I spoke to her as she smiled. "Grease night right?" She asked holding her pinky. "Grease night." I replied as I tied my pinky with hers. She nodded as she began to walk away with her other friends.

I made it to the field as I scanned it for David's face. I didn't see his face but I recognized his back and legs as I began to walk towards him. He was surrounded by friends and family Before I reached him. As I continued walking, he looked over his shoulder when his friend pointed at me. He instantly smiled as he began walking towards me. "You did amazing!" I expressed as he hugged me immediately. "Thank you I'm glad you came." He whispered into my ear as I blushed. I felt his wet hair from all his sweat on my forehead. "Oh my god you were not kidding when you said you sweated more than me." I replied as we both laughed. He pulled away from the hug as he looked at me before trailing his eyes down at my clothes. "You look beautiful in that shirt." He complimented as I laughed. "I've worn it before." I replied as he shook his head. "Yeah but you reminded me how beautiful you look in it." He responded as I blushed and smiled even more. He really was as perfect as it gets.

"Hey, photo for the news paper!" A photographer yelled at us as we nodded. He placed his arm around me as we smiled for the camera before the flash hit us. The photographer gave us a thumbs up as we nodded. Someone cleared their throat as David expressed a realization. "Oh Valentina." He called my name as I turned back to him. "These are my parents, and parents this is Valentina." He spoke as I nodded giving a smile immediately. "Hi I'm Valentina! Nice to meet you." I introduced myself as I shook hands with David's parents. His dad seemed strict, he gave me the vibe that he had probably played football in high school and attended Stanford as well. However his mother seemed like the kindest person ever. "Nice to meet you ma'am, is it true you play tennis?" His father asked me as I nodded. "Wow, it's nice to see David getting along with other athletes. How long have you guys known each other?" David's father asked as I tried to remember. "Only a month I think." I replied as he nodded.

"Well it's nice to meet you dear, invites us to your next match and we will be sure to go and support you." His mother spoke as I smiled. "Thank you! It's nice to meet you both." I replied as they nodded.

I turned back to David who was standing beside me this whole time as I smiled. "So can I meet you after I shower and everything? We can get a late night hot dog or something." He asked as I took a second to think. "When will you be out?" I asked. "Give me half an hour."
He spoke as I nodded. "Ok, I'll see you then." I replied as he nodded.

I waited outside the stadium, in the thirty minutes that he needed, I walked to the Walgreens near me and bought some protein bars and takis. As Mia would say, "it balances out." I waited near a bench, looking at my eyes through a mirror as I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked over, seeing David in sunglasses as I smiled. "You look fancy." I replied standing up. He was wearing dress pants and a button up. "Thank you, it's my pregame outfit." He replied as I went next to him. We walked to the small hotdog stand near the stadium.

"Today was actually my first football game." I spoke as his jaw dropped. "Really, you never grew up watching football?" He asked. "I grew up watching football but not this type of football." I answered as he nodded. "Oh. Because soccer is called football in Latin America?" He asked as I nodded. "Yes, I always supported Mexico, Cruz Azul and Real Madrid." I replied as his jaw dropped again. "I'm a Barcelona guy." He replied as I laughed. "Wow, don't get me started." I joked as he laughed. "We can have that discussion on the next date." He replied. My eyebrows raised as I looked at him. "Date?" I asked. I watched as his facial features wrinkled up, showing panic as he shook his head. "No-No, hangout I meant, I'm so sorry." He pleaded as I laughed. "It's ok, it can be a date." I told him. He smiled passing me my hotdog.

We walked to my dorm while eating as we spoke about his game and my upcoming tennis matches. "Oh and by the way, we are gonna have a party again next week on Friday evening." He suggested as I nodded. "Your fraternity?" I asked as he nodded. "A sorority is hosting with us so they decided the theme should be pool party." He continued as I nodded. "However you don't have to follow the theme, it's mainly sorority girls who dress up and everyone else just wears a swimsuit top or something." He spoke as I nodded."alright well, I guess I'll see you." I told him as he smiled.

I stared into his eyes as he looked at mine. There was suddenly an awkward silence as I gave a smile looking at my door. I didn't know if I should walk in. "Can I kiss you?" He blurted out. I was caught off guard by the question, I looked up at him. I knew that with every second passed he would regret his question so I gave him a warm smile. "Sure." I spoke as he leaned towards my face. I waited for the sensation to reach my lips as he pressed his to mine. His lip were soft and gentle, I wasn't sure if they were gentle because it was our first kiss but they were sweet and soft. I was glad that it was simple, I didn't want to deal with tongue or anything yet. We both pulled away as I smiled. "Have a goodnight." I replied unlocking the door to my dorm room.

I walked in, closing it behind me as Mia watched me from her bed. "Did he-?" She asked as I nodded immediately. She cheered as she patted a spot on her bed for me to sit in. "How was it? How does David Anderson kiss?" She asked as I laughed. "It was gentle. But I don't know if it's because it was our first kiss." I replied as she nodded. "True, he might be holding back. Did he use tongue?" She asked as I shook my head. "Wow, so it was nice without tongue?" She asked as I nodded.

"Ok well how was it after I left?" She asked as I gathered my thoughts. "I found him on the field, we talked, he introduced me to his parents, we-" I began speaking before being interrupted. "Wait he introduced you to his parents?" He asked as I nodded. "Yeah, they were there so he introduced me when I showed up." I replied. "Wow.." she expressed. I stood up as I grabbed my pajamas. "I don't think it's a big deal." I replied.
