alex's pov:

"aw, you're so funny george!" 'she' laughs.
ugh.

'oh wow george, your bed is so nice.
oh wow george what big muscles you have.
oh wow george please fuck me'

why did george even bring her over to my flat!

fuck sake.

this 'girl' george met at a coffee shop is currently sat in my seat on my couch next to my george.
well, he's not mine. but he's my roommate.

she's friends with will and she works at the local costa.
she's got brunette hair and green eyes.

when she first met him she was all giggly and hyper and annoying and shit.
like, no one likes that.
well.. maybe george does.
he seems to really like her.
they're hitting it off.

but she's-
you know what.
george is a grown man and can do what he wants. i don't care. really.

"al"
"hm?"
"i've literally been speaking to you for the past ten minutes. were you not listening?"
"hm? no, yeah of course"
"oh yeah? what did i say then?"
"um. that thing, that we were just talking about"
"just didn't listen did you"
"fuck off"

then she started doing that's stupid, annoying laugh.

and it made george smile...
that hurt the most.

"i'll be right back"
george headed for the toilet.

"so" she started.
"you do youtube too?"
"yeah"
"cool, cool"
"yep" i drew patterns into the couch arm.
"what do you do for fun"

'george'
"just gaming and shit. hanging out with george"
"yeah? you seem pretty close. surprised you don't live together" she laughed. wasn't even funny.
"well we are going to. in a few months" i told her.
"that's so cool. do you have a girlfriend?"
"no"
"cool"

"rachel" i said.
"what do you think of george"
"oh he's so funny! and cute" she smiled at me like i actually liked her.

"yeah, very much so"
"your a very attractive guy, why don't you have a girlfriend? if you don't mind me asking"

"oh, just not interested"
"oh, are you gay?"
"no. i'm bi but i've not met the one yet"
"ah ok"

then we sat in awkward silence.

really awkward silence.

then george finally walked out.
"rachel, do you want me to walk you to the train station? i'm heading home too"
"yes that's would be great!"

"are you leaving?" i looked at george with puppy dog eyes.
"uh yeah"
"oh.. ok" i stood up.

"right, got everything?" george asked her.
"yep, yep" she smiled.
"thank you for having me" she pulled me into a hug.

"anytime" i hugged her back lightly.
"right let's go"
"bye, lov-" i stopped myself and leaned against the wall.
"bye!"

and soon, i could hear both of their laughter down the hallway.

i groaned and sat back down on the couch.

"we went to this weird little coffee shop, i've never been there before but it was so cool" george said exitedly.
"cool" i messed around with the filters.
"al"
"al"
"Alex!"
"what?!"
"we've been facetiming for half an hour and all you've said is 'cool, really and nice'... what's up?"

"nofin'"

"al, please tell me"

i groaned and rubbed my eyes.
"i'm tired. think i'm gonna go to bed now"
"ok" he said sadly.
"night"
"love you" he smiled
"bye" i spoke coldly
i pressed the red hang up button and threw my phone down on the bed.
"fuck" i whispered and let out a few small sobs.

why couldn't i just tell him.
why did i have to be so scared.
he wouldn't like back anyway.
fuck
fuck
fuck!

i woke up hearing the front door close.
"hello?" i croaked out, still in a sleepy daze.
"it's just me" i heard a familiar whisper.
"george?" i lifted my head.
"it's" i checked my phone, the light making me squint.
"three in the morning"

"i know.. i needed to see you" i could hear him slipping off his coat.
"why?" i rubbed my eyes.
"just cuz" he finally got into bed, immediately holding me and kissing my face all over.

"i love you alex, god i love you" his soft lips held mine in a trance.
"george" i whispered.
"george, i love you" i cried to him.
"george" i felt like he was slipping away.
"george!"

"george!" i sat up, my blood felt completely cold and i was shaking.
i quickly check my phone.
3:43
i leaned back down and tried to slow my breathing.

i need him.
i need to tell him.
