The very first time Jake saw you again was when you were still in the age of three, chubby legs running wobbly along the grassy area of the park as a man in his late twenties, presumably your father, following close by behind you as your contagious laugh sounded off in the park. Your hair in small pigtails waggled amidst the air when he watched as your Father carried you, securing you against his chest before walking back to a spot where a picnic blanket and basket was laid waiting on the ground.
He sat on the bench a few meters away from where you were, book left closed over his lap as he surveyed the whole area, fingers enclosing together as thoughts started clouding inside his mind, making the look in his eyes far-off, more than they usually were.
With a resigned sigh, Jake stood up, patting away the non-existent dust that clung on to his jeans and hoodie, taking the book along with him when he reckoned that his presence was no longer needed; not yet, that is. He saw that you were born just fine, fitted to the family that you currently have and your father seems to love you just as much despite the lingering spark of sadness in his eyes as he would lay them on you. Jake thought things might not have gona the way they were supposed to, but then again, the man does radiate love and care, both in his actions and eyes and it was enough for him to temporarily leave you.
Casting you one last glance before he started walking away, Jake's chest thumped as your eyes met his for the last moment, enough for him to send your small figure a smile as he started walking away.
In a few years love, we will meet again.

"That's the dumbest shit i've ever heard this week Taeyoung. are these stories of nothing but tomfools a thing now?" you groaned, swatting your hands in the air as the said guy leaned further back to avoid himself from getting the awfully painful sting of your smacks. They were really gonna hurt for idiotic people.
Beside him, Seongmin snorts, patting the taller one on the back as he sat down beside him. "Why don't you ask if him being dumb is gonna be an everyday thing now too (Y/N)?" he takes one of the books you had on the library desk, opening them as Taeyoung casted him a nasty glare. "Because it sure damn looks like it."
"Oh come on! How would I even know that putting socks inside the microwave, thinking that they'll simply warm up without burning inside was gonna happen?" Taeyoung sulked, harshly tugging on his uniform shirt to which a few buttons popped off. "I thought I was gonna get my warm socks for that night."
"Well you obviously didn't."
"Yes but I'm not the dumb Seongbitch."
"Says the guy who also tried dipping cheetos in milk last week, Taeschlub."
Taeyoung dramatically gasped, clutching the patch of shirt over his chest as he threw one of his pens to Seongmin's head. "You dared me to do it you dirty, fish-smelling water!"
"You followed me anyways you tall, bamboo looking guy!"
"You forced me!"
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Did not!"
"Did too-"
Slipping beside the vacant seats next to yours, Sunoo and Doyoung watched the two with amusement dancing in their eyes. The latter was the first one to break their fight.
"I'm wondering why you two aren't kicked out of the library yet," Doyoung intruded, pulling out his school works as the two snapped their head to him in unison.
Dropping his head over the table with a bang, "Well I myself is surprised too Dobby." Taeyoung sulked, not so secretly rubbing the part of his head that he had hurt.
Once again, Seongmin snickers just as Sunoo did. The two sharing a high five before the latter glanced at you, shaking his head. "(Y/N) didn't even tried stopping their argument gosh," Sunoo chided, flicking your knuckle. "Next time break them up before Mrs. Liu walks to our table and bans us from studying here again."
You pouted. "Hey! I've been breaking off their fights for the past few months now! I deserve a break!"
"Sure honey, sure."

"Are you sure you're gonna be fine walking alone (Y/N)? Taeyoung could walk you home you know."
"Oookay but why is it me again!?" Taeyoung whined but instantly shuts up when Sunoo glared at him.
You laughed, adjusting the straps of your bag over your shoulders before starting to walk away, "Don't worry guys! I got the pepper spray you gave me from christmas four years ago!" you called over your shoulder.
The four lads worriedly glanced at one another just as Taeyoung yelled after you. "But they're probably expired by now (Y/n)!"
"Then it's better!"
With a last wave from your back, you turned a corner and your figure was no longer visible to the eyes of your friends, the four standing in silence, eyes trained to where you were just seconds ago before Doyoung cleared his throat.
"Are pepper sprays supposed to be used when they're already expired?"

The streets were barely occupied as you walked in the sidewalk, fingers clutching your bag straps as you absentmindedly hummed a song, a song that you know you've never ever heard in your whole existence. With a half-shrug, you continued walking, oblivious to the eyes that followed your every move.
"So she really is here." Beside Sunghoon, Jake simply nodded, their coats idle in the midst of the harsh blowing cold air up in the rooftop of a towering apartment complex where the two stood.
Jake kept his enclosed fists inside his coat pocket, red eyes illuminated by the moonlight as he watched the other people walking just close to where you were. He sighed, "sh-should we follow her?"
Sunghoon deeply laughs, eyes crinkling in amusement as he glanced at his over two hundred year-old friend. "I don't know Jake, she's my priority too as much as she is to you, but trust me, this is not the perfect time for this, not yet. Be patient my friend," and with that, the black-haired guy leaped over the metal bars and into the nothingness below, fading in the air as Jake clicked his tongue in impatience.
"That's the problem hoon, I'm not very keen on waiting anymore."

The next few days passed by, the moments barely sticking in the surface of your brain as it drifted away.
To say that you're life was mundane just as it always was, it bore you to death. Heart anticipating for some sort of twist to come in your life to finally get over the dry happenings that seems to be reoccurring every single day. Your mind was restless, thinking of possible ways to give it a new spark of eccentricity in hopes of covering the want to renew your mundane life style. And you did thought it will always be the same. Same, old, boring events living up to the title of your life which wasn't really as thrilling as it sounds.
It all was, until the night of the friday the very next three weeks came.
Celebrating Sunoo's birthday was always extra and unexpected. However, for his seventeenth birthday, it seemed to take a 160 degree u-turn as you and your four boy friends spent the night of his birthday with a dinner, a trip to lotte world and that was just about it, no extra trip to the beach to do camp fires, no sleep overs inside the massive forts, no trips to any drive thru cinemas, no road trips no nothing. But what confused you even more was how weird the four lads were acting and they were seemingly silent which was very very unusual for them.
After the dinner, Doyoung and Sunoo presented on walking you home to make up for the past days that they had to make you do it alone, but with a shrug and an excessive amount of reasoning coming from you, the four boys sent you away with stressed looking faces, minds barely making up that you were gone from their sight just as Sunghoon's voice rang in the frosty night air.
"You dimwits I specifically told you to not to let my sister walk alone."

The night was lovely, to say the very least. It took you at least an ounce of self-restraint to not let anything scare you along the way as you walked home as you had done it a pretty amount of times to be jittery and anxious now. You still had that pepper spray inside your shoulder bag at least. As you turned in another corner, another block, there goes the feeling of being watched, again. Seemingly appearing in the middle of no where with you fully defenseless to save your self except for the. . . well, the pepper spray.
It has been two long nights since the feeling of someone watching you from behind has crept up in the back of your head, goosebumps prickling on your skin as you walked with your head down.
Briskly shuffling through your bag, you released a sigh of relief as you grasped your spray, taking it within your grasp as you hurried down the silent sidewalk that seemingly goes to recline, downwards, which you've never had to use as a path going to your house.
Strange.
Also taking your phone from the back pocket of your jeans, you gingerly held the device, fingers ready to tap the number within your speed dial as you took a u-turn, figure moving away from the dark descending street and on to the sidewalk with scrunched brows. Not even a moment later, as your foot stepped on the lighted pavement, a tall figure materialized right in front of your very eyes, confidently stepping out of the puff of the faint black smoke with an air of menace lingering just within him.
The man's eyes in a terrifyingly shade of black glinted amidst the moonlight, a hint of smirk painting his lips as he took three steps close to where you stood frozen on your spot. Bowing just a little, the man spoke, "Good evening, my dear," His voice was velvety smooth, something you described as something capable of being produced only in fiction novels but it was certainly coming off right from the man before you.
"W-who are you?" you shakily asked, taking a step backwards as you hid your phone away from the frightening man's eyes, fingers almost tapping on Sunoo's phone number when the small hand-held device was roughly taken away from you.
"Not so fast my dear, I wouldn't do that if I were you," The man smirked, waving your phone in the air and in two swift movements, it vanished in thin air. "Have your parents ever told you, to not talk to srrangers一"
"And have your parents ever told you its not nice to pry on young, innocent girls in the middle of the night?"
Whipping your head behind you, another figure emerged from the darkness you've just fled from a while ago. Directly looking at new guy's eyes, his own warm tone of hazel weirdly brought comfort to you as you've decided this guy was better off with you than the one man in the front that reeked of danger, cockiness and a little hint of roses. Oh how you hated the smell of roses.
Scoffing, the man raised his brows, eyes watching the guy in your back with irritation, although there was a twitch of irritating familiarity that surrounds the younger male.
"And who might you be一"
"Leave."
"Excuse me?"
"Did I not make myself clear?" the guy scoffed. "Because if I didn't then I surely will make my point clear by shredding you to pieces and making sure your next lineage doesn't get even a single second chance to live."
Stepping back, just enough to create some space between you and the fugly man, your eyes widened a fraction seeing your friends in the opposite street, a tall, pale guy with them and in the other directions scattered were a few guys as well, stepping out of the dark as they enclosed the area where the man was.
Within a span of a mere second, Sunoo was right beside you, turning you around to check for any injuries or minor scratches as you gasped at him, sputtering incoherent nonsense as he waved you off. "You could ask later (Y/n), we need to get you out of here."
The man, now infuriated with the obvious power overthrowing his dominance, snarled, raising his enclosed fists in the air that produced an uncanny dark smoke, his red eyes glinting with hatred as sharp canines appeared from his teeth. He pointed a shaky finger towards the guy from your back, snapping with rage as he spoke.
Finally it all clicked in his pea-like brain. "You were supposed to be dead! I knew you looked familiar! I know now why but you should have been gone! Erased from existence like you're whole bloodline一"
Stepping in front of you, Sunoo buried your head against his chest just as the sounds of resonating cracks rang in the air blending with the man's cries grom the agonizing pain, piercing through the night like a loud gunshot; except no one in the neighboring streets seems to hear it. Releasing one pained gurgling sound, the man was dropped on the ground with a thud, the very same time you shakily toppled down on the pavement when Sunoo temporarily released his hold on you to check on the man.
"Sunoo!"
Taeyoung, Doyoung and Seongmin yells in unison, shaking their heads in disbelief as the latter rushes to your side, gently holding you close against him as Taeyoung takes your bag and the pepper spray in your hand. He clicks his tongue in amusement, waving the bottle before you as he released a little laugh, holding his hand out for you to take. "Did this help?"
Although you were pretty disoriented, you stifled a laugh of your own, taking his hands as he helped you stood up, Doyoung assisting you just on the side in case something happens. You shook your head to Taeyoung, "I didn't had the chance to Youngtae, I was pretty scared and nervous to even spray some of it."
Tapping your head in some sort of comfort, Taeyoung sends you a small smile before walking towards the unknown guys that was with them prior, talking amongst themselves for a bit as you examined them, looking away when they spared you worried glances.
"Hey, come on. Sunghoon hyung said you need to go home." Taking your right arm, Doyoung said, nodding towards Sunoo as the both of them shared a look at first. Your confused gazed met theirs. Doyoung clears his throat, "You need to rest before anything else (Y/N), that's our main priority right now."
"But一" cutting you off was the voice that belonged to the guy from before. Nodding towards Doyoung, Sunoo and Seongmin the three left you alone just as the guy stepped in the light.
"Come. I'll bring you home." Nodding without protest, the voice in your throat was stuck, too mesmerized, disoriented and confused to even say something as the guy lifted you up, placing his arms under the back of your knee and on your back for support as he gently secured you against his chest. "I'll meet with you guys the next morning, for now, you all rest."
And with a last nod, the guy leaped in the air, breezing by from one building to another as the cold night air nips against your skin.
