In the morning, it appeared that what everyone said about slimes coming around during the Summer was true. Since, just outside of me and Rimuru's cabin were a bunch of Slimes.

I just sat on the porched and watch Rimuru do his fun with the slimes, he would shapeshift into increasingly unique and complex forms to see if the other slimes could copy it. First he turned into the letter A which the slime copied with no issue, next he took the appearance of a giant hand and while slime copied it again it was a bit bulker and the slime appeared to be struggling in maintaining the look, lastly he took on the look of a type of statue in his world called "the thinker" and this time the slime was unable to copy it and they left.

Everyone: LORD RIMURU! PLEASE, DON'T GO BACK TO YOU'RE FAMILY!!

Rimuru: But, you guys are my family...

Jasper: Good to know you think of us that way.

Later

Later on in the day, we all decided to swim at the lake due to just how hot it was for everyone (excluding me). We planned on using it for a potential Summer retreat. Our group consisted of myself, Rimuru, Shuna, Souka, Hakuro, Shion, Ranga, and Gobta.

Shion: It's beautiful!

Rimuru: I never knew there was a great place like this beyond the forest!

Jasper: It's so big, that it can be considered a small beach. 

Souka: It reminds me of my homeland, in lake Siss.

Shion: The weather is so nice today.

Gobta: My lords, we finished setting up all the tents.

Jasper: Alright then, let's change into our swimsuits!

A few seconds later.

Jasper: Are you gals ready?

Shuna: We're all ready!

Shion: It's about time to reveal our lovely swimsuits!

We then charged our way out, and I was immediately blushing at the sight of Shuna and Souka.

Shuna: How do I look, my Prince?

Jasper: You look ridiculously adorable.

The comment made Shuna blush.

Shuna: I-I'm glad you approve...

Rimuru: Alright, let's have some fun!

That's when Shuna and Shion finally noticed our swimsuits.

Shion: But... Lord Rimuru!

Shuna: Prince Jasper! What kind of swim suit is that!?

Jasper: Huh?

Rimuru: What? got a problem with it?

Both: Why don't you wear these!?

Shion was holding a rather skimpy looking girl's swimsuit for Rimuru and Shuna was holding a speedo for me.

Jasper: Like hell am I wearing a damn speedo!

Rimuru: Ok, I'm almost afraid to ask... but, why are mine more aggressively visible, frilly, and skimpy then yours...?

Shion: Mr. Garm and Dord worked very hard to design custom swimsuits for each one of us! They explained it with such passionate detail to us.

Rimuru: Of course, those old farts...

Jasper: Remind me to kick them both in the crotch when we get back...

{Mimir: Noted.}

Gobta: Hey! Those guys are true artisans!

Of course he would take their side...

Rimuru: Still, I'm pretty impress that convinced you guys to wear them.

Gobta: I know, why don't we compromise and have Lady Shion wear it? That'll probably make Garm and Dord just as happy!

Shion: What?

Gobta: Wear it! Wear It! WEAR IT!

Rimuru: Shion can't wear that. Too much would end up hanging out.

Gobta: Listen here flat chest, I don't need you screwing this up for me!

Without warning, Gobta was immediately punted several ft. away from the shore and into the water by the combined kick of Rimuru and Shion.

Jasper: F*cking, dumbass...

Me and Shuna looked back saw Souka hiding under an umbrella, while covering herself with her wings in embarrassment.

Shuna: Hey Souka, Is something wrong?

Souka: Uh, no... I came along to serve as a guard, so this outfit is a little... I only recently assumed this form, so I guess I can't help but start feeling a little strange...

Shuna: My, my! Goodness, you look so innocent and pure!

Jasper: There's nothing to be embarrassed about how you look Souka. Personally, I think you look rather cute.

This made Souka blush, and her horns popped out.

Souka: T-Thank you, Prince Jasper...

Shuna: You have nothing to worry about I swear. It looks fantastic on you!

Jasper: Also, we're here to have fun today, so there's no reason to be nervous. Just try and relax, alright? You couldn't be anymore lovely or beautiful.

Souka started to blush more intensely... then Gobta appeared.

Gobta: That's right! You actually have a cute little butt! Kind of weird to see you without a tail though?

Once again without warning, Gobta was immediately punted several ft. away from the shore and into the water by the combined hit of Jasper and Souka.

Inside Rimuru's stomach

Veldora: Look at you Jasper and Rimuru, having all kinds of fun.

Ifrit: It appears their going to swim at the lake.

Veldora: Meanwhile, I'm stuck here forever. Tediously plucking away at the analysis of {Unlimited Imprisonment}! How care free can they be?

Ifrit: Have you considered you're next move?

Ever since being stuck in here, Veldora and Ifrit have been playing some games and reading some Manga to past the time. Currently, they were playing one of their favorite games Shogi.

Veldora: "Cough!"...All that aside, what are these things their wearing?

Ifrit: There called swimsuits, Humanoids usually wear them when entering the water.

Veldora: Their normally fully covered and now their almost totally exposed!

Ifrit: It doesn't offer any sort of protection either, if someone did attack their bellies then it would be fatal.

Veldora: Rimuru's keeping himself covered at least, and given how powerful Jasper is; him revealing this much skin is a sign that he doesn't need any armored protection. Those are my boys!

Ifrit: That isn't a very common color pattern... is it meant to represent the Tempest serpent or something?

Veldora: Not that Either Jasper or Rimuru need protection or a disguise of course!

Ifrit: Most monsters, feel compelled to cover the bare minimum with their regular everyday garments much less swimsuits. Yet, it does seem that the more intelligent a creature is then the more likely they are to cover their skin.

This made Veldora remember how before, the Goblins didn't wear much before they evolved and sought out more appropriate coverage.

Ifirt: Of course, it's also true that even higher beings similar to Jasper like Majin or Demon Lords often expose more skin then the average being. But, generally speaking if a creature put on more garments, It's seen as a sign that a species is intelligent.

This made Veldora sweat as he realized something...

Veldora: ...Incidentally Ifrit, you are a spirit and yet only wear clothes on you're lower half...

Ifrit: Huh?

Veldora: Then, maybe I should wear clothes too...!

Outside Rimuru's stomach

Gobta: Ah, All warmed up and ready to go! Come on, let's go have some fun!

Rimuru: You sure are tough...

Jasper: I'm actually impressed with how durable you are.

Gobta: Heh, well yeah. Everyone knows that you can't play with girl's unless you're super tough!

Gobta then went to out to play with the girls, only to be completely blown away by how powerful the waves they splashed were from Giant guizers to powerful tidal waves.

Jasper: Well, that was the expected outcome...

Gobta: T-This is obviously a powerful and high ranking world...

Rimuru: Just stop. You've hung in there plenty long enough.

Unfortunately for him, Gobta is a idiotic masochistic glutton for punishment and went back in there. Only to end up back on shore after nearly drowning in there.

Jasper: Aren't you gonna swim Hakuro?

Hakuro: Haha, I'm afraid the cold water is a bit harsh on these old bones. I can no longer enjoy it like you young folks can, so I believe I shall have to satisfy myself with simply casting out my line and gazing the lake. One might call it a bit of life laundry.

Rimuru: Why is a master swordsman like you, suddenly talking like an old man?

Immediately after saying that, a massive fish came flying out of the water.

Hakuro: Perhaps, there is something to be said about acting younger then ones age every now and then.

Hakuro having found his target, turned to a spot he picked with a determined look and a small shining glint in his eyes.

Hakuro: Look forward to dinner tonight!

Rimuru: Is that thing even edible?

Jasper: Usually a lot of things become edible when cooked properly, though if you're asking if it's poisonous. You guys have {Poison Resistance} and I have {Abnormal Condition Nullification}, so we should all be good on that front.

Gobta having somehow recovered ask us to try a new game with him, this game evolved blindfolding someone, spinning them around for 10 seconds, and trying to have them strike a watermelon.

Rimuru: Hey, hey! Something wrong Shion?

Jasper: You're getting closer!

Shuna: You can do it!

Gobta: More to you're right!

Shion: This is a lot more difficult then I imagined it to be.

Shion the one being blindfolded, then began to concentrate

Shion's mind: Watermelon... Watermelon... Watermelons are round, and so is Lord Rimuru... alright, if I train my mind to see it not as a Watermelon, but instead as my beloved Lord Rimuru...

After a bit of pondering.

Shion: THERE IT IS!!!

She quickly  grabbed her great sword, and swiftly brought it down hard.

Shion: Huh? Oh dear, guess I missed. Eh Heh!

Everyone else had been covered in watermelon, with Gobta also being stuck in the ground.

Jasper: Nope, right on the mark...

Shuna: Fascinating, the Watermelon completely exploded...

Rimuru: I-I'm not sure how to feel, since you imagined that thing was me...

Everyone was doing their own thing now, Hakuro continued to fish, Shion was still blindfolded and with her Great Sword was chasing Ranga and Gobta who was holding a Watermelon, Souka was writing in the sand a house with her name and was starting to write Jasper's name before she quickly erased it out of embarrassment, and lastly Jasper, Shuna, and Rimuru were relaxing under an umbrella.

Rimuru: Now that I look at it again, this lake sure is huge. You can't see the other side, it's almost like an ocean.

Shuna: Actually, I've never seen the Ocean before. Is it true that it's salty?

Jasper: Sure is, and it's incredible big. Most likely a 100x times bigger then the entire forests of Jura.

Shuna: Be careful, not to melt in it Lord Rimuru.

Rimuru: I hope, we can all go see it at some time.

Shuna: That sounds like fun.

Jasper: I'll gladly take you at some point.

Shuna gave Jasper a surprised look.

Shuna: Really?

Jasper: Definitely! Maybe not right now, but I'll gladly take you to show it's true beauty.

Shuna was blushing with a happy smile, Rimuru watched them before realizing something...

Rimuru: Wait, Hold up! Are you telling me that Slimes can't touch salt?

Shuna: Oh Right! You can't eat Watermelon without, but do try to be careful with it.

Jasper: But, why though...?

Later on, Souka asked me if I could help in building a sand castile, I agreed and after a bit of time we had made a literal palace made of Sand. Then a small flower landed on it as the wind suddenly increased.

Jasper: Treyni?

Treyni: Master Jasper, you and Lord Rimuru shouldn't be doing these things on you're own.

Jasper: What do you mean?

Treyni: No matter how friendly and approachable you both may be, the truth is you're all powerful monster surpassing rank A. When you all act as a group it causing other races to waste, as a caretaker of the forest I can not tolerate it!

Souka got in front of Jasper in a defensive manner, but he just pushed her arm down and gave Treyni a deadpan look.

Jasper: It's pretty obvious that's not you're actually reason for being here...

She is literally wearing a swimsuit.

Treyni: Listen, you both may have tried to exclude me before. But it's not going to work this time!

Jasper: Of course...

Later

Hakuro had finally caught his quarry, and brought it as our dinner.

Everyone: Woah!

Shuna: I'm sure we'll all enjoy eating this!

Jasper: Nice job, Hakuro!

Rimuru: So, how you guys think we should eat this thing?

Shion: I volunteer to help with the cooking!

Everyone: :-O!

Shion: We don't have a meal with such a lovely scenery. I'm so excited!

Everyone quickly went to make a distraction.

Gobta: Look, Shion! I found a pretty rock!

Souka: Oh, Shion! Can you tell me about all the battle you've fought!

Ranga: Shion! Now would be a fine time to study tag-team methods!

Treyni: Care for some fried potatoes?

Jasper: Shion! How about we talk about some new training methods I could teach you!

Rimuru: Shion... If you'll join me, I'd love to take a nice stroll around the shore with you...

Shion was completely taken aback by all this sudden attention.

Shion's mind: My gosh! Am I really that popular!?

After the successful distraction, we manage to cook the fish and have our dinner.

Rimuru: Oh man, this is so freaking good!

Jasper: Truly delicious!

Gobta: Beast fish taste amazing!

Shuna: Hehe wonderful, I have all you're help to thank for it.

Shion: Wait, I didn't do anything to help with it though...

Everyone: Oh, don't worry about that!

Later

After finishing dinner, the girls went into their own tent. Shion was drinking but noticed that Shuna and Souka were talking quite a bit about Jasper.

Shion: You've both been going on quite a bit about Prince Jasper. Are you both in love with him?

Souka's horns popped out and was blushing like crazy, while Shuna coughed up her drink also blushing.

Souka: I-I merely respect him as a strong warrior and capable leader!

Shuna: A-Agreed, he's done so much for us all... so it's only natural!

Shion: Shouldn't bother trying to hide it. I know! You should both think about becoming his wives!

Both: W-Wives!?

Shion: From what I've heard, It's not really uncommon for a ruler to have multiple wives. So I think it's possible!

Despite still blushing, they were both considering the Idea. Meanwhile, everyone else was outside talking around a fire.

Treyni: Hakuro, please have another glass.

Hakuro: Thank you, I would love a bit more.

Jasper: Hey, isn't that the most expensive liquor you sell at the bar?

Treyni: Oh dear, it would appear you've hadn't had enough to drink either Master Jasper.

Hakuro: I'm blessed with such fortune in my old age, having a great Dryad pour me a drink.

Rimuru: Why don't you come to the bar sometime? It's a great place to let loose and laugh.

Hakuro: Oh? Maybe someday.

Treyni: it is true that much laughter is heard there everyday. But... the town is currently drawing attention of powerful forces so beware, there is no guarantee we'll all be laughing tomorrow...

Rimuru: ...Well if not, then we'll all just laugh twice as much the next day!

Treyni: ...Oh, my!

Hakuro: Haha, there is truly no other like either of you my lords.

Ranga: Speaking of Lords, where is master Jasper?

That's when they all realized that Jasper was missing, before they heard walking and looked to see Jasper dragging an injured and unconscious Gobta into the forests.

Hakuro: I'm guessing, Prince Jasper caught him spying on the girls...

Rimuru: Dumbass...

Days later

A meeting in the conference hall was being held by the Tempest brothers, over a serious topic.

Rimuru: There's still a part of the season that's missing, do you all know what that is?

Rigurd: Uh, I can't say we do...

Rimuru: It's the best, a Summer Festival! I really wanna have a Summer festival in this town!

Rigurd ...W-What is that?

He then began holding up varies flyers with different aspects of the festival,  from the decorations and event, to the clothing, and lastly the fireworks. 

Jasper: You all have one week to prepare, think that'll be enough time?

Rigurd: Of course! We'll take care of everything.

Everyone: Just leave it to us!

Both: Show us what you can do!

Everyone quickly headed out to begin the preparations, Me and Rimuru just walking around and checking in on everyone.

Rimuru (This city's culture continues to evolve through it's parties.)

Jasper (We can except a great first Summer festival.)

As the preparations grew closer to completion, a small group consisting of me, Rimuru, Shuna, and Shion continued to wander around.

Rimuru: Wow, this looks great! It's looking just like the one on the flyer!

Jasper: Impressive.

Shion: The food stalls are nearly done as well.

I seriously hope you're not helping those specific stalls.

Rimuru: Oh! A mask stall!

Jasper: I think I have an idea about what they'll look like...

We walked up to the stall and only slime mask that came in forms of a Bright Blue and Silver White colorations.

Jasper: Guess, my Slime mimic has become a trend...

We then imagined some of our friends wearing these mask.

Rimuru: It might sound weird coming from me... but, that's just creepy...

We then heard giggling.

Shion: You think so?

We both turned around to see Shion and Gobta wearing blue mask, and Shuna wearing a White mask while smiling creepily.

Shuna: What are you talking about, it's not creepy at all.

Jasper: I beg to differ...

After leaving the festival grounds, everyone went to the lodge and got dressed in Yukatas.

Haruna: Wow! Shion, Lord Rimuru!

Shuna: Prince Jasper!

Both: You're so cute!

Rimuru was currently wearing a white and blue Yukata that had leaf's and strange patterns on it with a red sash, Shion was wearing a more purple nighttime one with the patters looking like stars and vines while also wearing a dark purple sash, and lastly Jasper was wearing a simple red and Black one with patterns that looked like small constellations.

Rimuru: Girly clothes again...

Jasper: I personally feel rather comfortable.

I then took a quick look at Shuna's and Haruna's.

Jasper: You both look nice in yours.

Shuna: T-Thank you...

Haruna: Thanks, my prince!

Rimuru: Shion, you actually look pretty graceful today.

Shion however, looked rather upset and uncomfortable.

Shion: Don't listen to this! They wrapped my chest up so tightly that I can hardly breath!

Shuna: Hehe, I guess I've just always assumed... big chest are an inconvenience... big chest get in the way of dressing... There's no other reason, just concern for you.

Jasper: Shuna, stop it...

Shion: I can't breathe...

Haruna: Oh, I'll loosen your sash!

We made our way out to see that the festival was starting up, first stop the food stalls.

Jasper: We can probably sell these at our regular stalls in town.

Shuna handed us each a tray of food.

Shuna: After much trial and error, I think we did a good job reproducing this.

Rimuru: Oh, It's Takoyaki!

Shuna: Please, enjoy it while it's still nice and hot.

They both took a bite.

Both: We love it!

Rimuru: It's exactly like the ones I know!
