After our talk with the Humans, Treyni wanted to talk with us privately. She had a rather serious expression on her face.

Treyni: My lords, regarding your cooperation with the humans... please think it over. Very carefully.

Rimuru: Yeah, o-ok...

I wondered why she was being so serious about this, then I remembered that earlier during our talk I noticed Treyni spying on the meeting, trying to gage weather the Humans were a potential threat or not.

She seemed very happy when Shizue, Kaval, Eren, and Gido all comment how good the potato chips she made were, until Shuna came and took the bowl of chips she had because the group asked for seconds.

Jasper: Your just upset that Shuna stole your bowl of chips and gave it to them, aren't you...?

Treyni: Well... I would be lying if I said that wasn't part of it...

At lease she's honest.

Rimuru (Still, is this matter really that important?)

Jasper (I mean, Humans are naturally arrogant and stupid, and tend to get ahead of themselves... so we may need to watch out for certain groups. Hence forth addition to the first rule.)

Rimuru (You know, I was Human once... right?)

Jasper ( Hmmm, your right... this only further proves my point!)

Rimuru (...You can be a real d*ck sometimes, you know that...)

Meanwhile

Youm was busy exploring the city, all the while contemplating about what Rimuru and Jasper  had asked of him.

Youm's mind: I thought they were jokers, but...

Geld: We cannot allow a guests here to go hungry!

He remembered how Geld had bought him some food, while saying that.

Youm's mind: The subordinates are almost as weird as their bosses. There all constantly going on about "Prince" Jasper and "Lord" Rimuru... 

A Goblina working at a food stand, noticed him and ran over to give some treats that looked and were colored after Rimuru. After accepting, he encountered more and more people offering him things that were related to either Rimuru or Jasper. Until, he was surrounded by them.

Jasper was nearby, giving him a sympathetic look.

Later

Youm was standing on a nearby by hill that let he get a better view of the whole city, Rimuru and Jasper came up behind him.

Youm: Well... your both definitely loved, no doubt about that.

Rimuru: It bugs me that they make a lot of the food to look like us though...

Jasper: Moving on, have you decided?

Youm: Yes. I have... sirs, it's really something. After seeing your town and the people in it, I've come to the conclusion that neither of you are evil. Not like our hands are completely clean, but we've longed to be free men... the only reason we accepted this mission, was to fake our deaths and move to safer nation.

He then turned and knelt to us.

Youm: I've decided to trust you. From this day I'll call you both Master Jasper and Rimuru, I'm yours to command.

Rimuru: Awesome! We'll make sure you won't regret it!

Jasper: We'll have you find a home and get settled in, then I plan on having you train under Hakuro. Our resident swordmaster.

We headed back to the government building to introduce Youm and his companions as new residence of our town.

Rimuru: This is Youm and his buddies, and they'll be living with us from now on!

This made everyone excited.

Shuna: The welcome feast is almost ready, just a bit longer!

Youm's mind: I guess there Human after all.

Youm looked bemused as everyone began chanting the word banquet. Eventually, as night came; the banquet started with everyone of course having a great time.

Me and Milim were stuck in a eating competition, while Rimuru sat with Youm and Rommel.

Rommel: Is this from today...?

Shuna: It'll warm your tummy up real nice.

She said while giving a creepy smile and dark look.

Youm's mind: Nope, their definitely monsters!

Rimuru: Sorry about that, you get used to it...

Later

While the girls were playing in the hot springs. Me and Rimuru were relaxing with Fuze.

Rimuru (I really wish we were over there... it sounds like the girls are having fun, all that's over here... is an old dude.)

Jasper (Oh, just relax and stop complaining.)

Rimuru: Hey, how long do you plan on hanging around? Do you still we're like evil or whatever...?

Fuze: Huh? No I don't. To be honest, I stopped being suspicious of you guys a while back.

Rimuru: Then, why are you still here?

Fuze: Because this town you've built is pretty relaxing, all things considered. I can't remember the last time I took a break, so I thought to take this time to chill out for a bit.

Jasper: Amen to that, my friend.

We clinched our glasses and drank.

This made Rimuru confused and somewhat irritated before making his Slime face look Fuze and did an impression of him when he said that he would see if us Monsters were real allies of Humans. But, Fuze just ignored him.

Rimuru: Hey! What's the status on Youm and his group? You promised to make them look like champions or has that part of your brain turn off too!? I bet you don't even know Youm and his group already left!

Jasper: Dude, do you honestly think he'd be relaxing if he didn't get all that done already? Me and him have already set up the ground work for making Youm and his group look the champions who defeated the Orc Lord, with the much needed help of some friendly monsters.

Fuze: Oh! I think I've got it figured out. 

Both: What?

Fuze: Jasper is the more perceptive and mature brother, while Rimuru is the more carefree and lazy brother, am I right?

Jasper: Don't forget he's a bit of a pushover.

Rimuru: HEY!!!

Just as Fuze was about to leave, Rimuru wanted to ask about building a road from here to Blumund. Surprising Fuze.

Fuze: S-Seriously? Look, I think it's a fine idea. But, we're talking about a national undertaking.

Rimuru: Chill out Fuze my boy!

Fuze: Y-Your boy...?

Jasper: We'll handle the construction for the road and in return, you allow us to trade our special goods with Blumund, along with letting us see someone who could better advise us about it.

Fuze: Is that all? Simple enough.

Jasper: Sweet.

Meanwhile

Phobio and his group were making camp for the night on their way back.

Phobio: Dammit! He should know who he's messing with!

Enrio: There's not much we can possible do with Demon Lord Milim in the picture. Even if Lord Carrion commands it.

Phobio: Shut up! Demon Lord Carrion, wouldn't have gotten his ass kicked like a loser! The hard truth is that I just wasn't good enough... you saw it, those guys built a thriving town all on their own. I treated them as if they were lowly monsters, but they have skills and technology even we don't possess.

Enrio: It's true... instead of ordering them to serve us, I would've like to establish diplomatic relations with them.

Phobio: Agreed. I handle it all wrong... I'll never earn their trust after not only giving them a say, but also attacking one of their leaders. Not that it matters now, my wounds may have healed, but I'll never recover from that humiliation. I have to find a way to get revenge on him somehow...

They all suddenly heard laughter and turned to 2 harlequins who introduced themselves as Footman and Teare. They offered him a chance at revenge by becoming one with Charybdis. After a bit of hesitation, Phobio reluctantly agreed.

Phobio: Go back without me. Report on everything that has happened.

Enrio: Don't do this! 

Phobio: I can not cause anymore trouble for Lord Carrion, so tell him that I'm resigning and am no longer apart of the beastketeers. It's been an honor serving along side you all.

They looked at him with horror, before reluctantly agreeing and leaving. But, not before Enrio gave Phobio a warning about Charybdis and it's unknown amounts of power.

Footman: Come! We have much to do!

Phobio: Yeah... the sooner I can combine my power with Charybdis. The sooner I can make that  little bastard pay, I'll wipe that smug look right of his face!

Both: That's the spirit!

Footman (Such Insolence! To disrespect the founder like this!)

Teare (Agreed, but you heard what Clayman said and besides... it's not like Charybdis stands even the slightest chance against founder Jasper.)

Morning

Me, Rimuru, Souka, and Shion were watching Kaval and Gido drag a cart of knight spiders limbs with Milim, Shizue, and Eren just walking casually along with them.

Milim: Haha! Pretty impressive haul, huh?

Eren: Lady Milim is just amazing! She's able to locate monsters right away, it actually makes it much easier.

Shizue: She's really energetic and confident, I didn't think a Demon Lord could be so positive.

Milim: Finding monsters is very simple when your as amazing as me! We'll be feasting again in no time!

Rimuru: Nice work everyone.

Gido: Works... definitely a way to describe it...

Kaval: Who wants to get a drink and a bath?

Suddenly, we sensed a powerful and threating presence making Benimaru, Hakuro, and Souei appear and they along with Shion and Souka readied their weapons.

Shion: Who goes there!?

Souka: Reveal yourself!

At that moment, a Dryad whom I recognized as Trya appeared with a strange aura that looked like a mixture of her aura and a darker and more powerful murderous aura.

 Gido: A Dryad!?

Kaval: Well, this is a first...

Jasper: Trya?

Rimuru: Who?

Jasper: Treyni's younger sister. What's with the strange mixed aura?

Trya: An emergency has arisen... Calamity approaches us all.

Rimuru: L-Like, how so?

Trya: A calamity class monster, Charybdis. Has been revived.

Jasper: Charybdis?

Trya: A monster who's violence equals that of a Demon Lord. My sisters, including Treyni, have set out to slow it's progress, but they are no match for it and what's worse... it appears to be heading in this direction.

Everyone: HUH!?

Trya: Against Charybdis, who is known as the ruler of the skies; waging war on land is futile. I have come to advise you to bolster your defenses and prepare an airborne force as soon as possible, but I've also come to ask Master Jasper with dealing with this.

After that warning, everyone quickly gathered in the meeting room to discuss this more.

Trya: The monster known as Charybdis was a born long time ago. It has died and been revived multiple times, it is the violent ruler of the skies. However, based on it's lineage that is to be expected... It hails from Veldora, the former guardian of the forests.

Rimuru: So it's like Veldora's child!?

Trya: In a way, it generated from a large cloud made up of Veldora's magicules.

Rimuru (So... does that make it our sibling? Actually, that also makes it you're cousin.)

Jasper (Honestly, the tempest family tree just gets more confusing... but, this could me it's coming here because it knows Veldora's in your stomach.)

Fuze: If Charybdis has been truly revived, then it's far worse then a Demon Lord!

Well, I don't know about that...

Fuze: Because, unlike most opponents. We have no way communicating with it.

Vesta: True, it's a monster with almost 0 intelligence. It said to also have the ability to summon multiple flying Shark like creatures known as Megalodons. They come from the spirit world to join it with it's rampage, or so I've heard anyways...

Rimuru: For real!? And we thought the Orc lord was bad!

Trya: To make things even worse, the Megalodons appeared to have posses the bodies of some Lesser Dragons that died nearby. There are 13 of them...

Shuna: My lords, what should we do?

As everyone was thinking, I remembered something that raised a question.

Jasper: ...Hey Trya, why did you want me to deal with this specifically?

Trya: Well, given your threat level and also being the nephew of the storm dragon. We thought it made sense.

Jasper: Threat level?

Fuze: Yes, you see there is a ranking system created by the free guild association that refers to the potential strength and danger evaluation different Monsters, Adventurers, or groups. This was made to replace the old and less accurate 4 step system before it.

Rimuru: What is the system?

Fuze: After the introduction of the letter based ranking system, Novice was replaced with F, Beginner with E, and Intermediate with D. Meanwhile, those who were previously categorized as Advanced were split further into C, B, and A. Doing so distinguished the stronger from the strong. Thus, due to the introduction of the new system, the number of deaths due to fighting stronger than expected monsters greatly decreased. But, For Rank A and above, monster ranks are evaluated based on their ability to threaten civilizations rather than just their individual magicule amount. There are 4 threat levels. Along with that, they each of an Existence value that's meant to show the potential amount of power they have.

Jasper: Which are?

Fuze: A rank/Hazard class: Includes the Ranks A+, A and A-, and a threat that could potentially cause widespread damage to a single town or region. There EV is from 9k to 20k. Special A or AA rank/Calamity class: A threat that could topple a country's government. This level includes high-level Majin and demons. The EV is from 100k to 800k. S Rank/Disaster Class: Normally applied to demon lords and Heroes. Small nations would have no chance against such a threat, and a larger one would need to expend all its resources to handle it. The EV is from 900k to 2M. and lastly, Special S or SS rank/Catastrophe class: This level applies only to some extraordinarily powerful demon lords, as well as True Dragons, and reflected the kind of threat that no single nation could handle. It would require international cooperation to give the human race even a chance at survival. The EV is at least 5M to a currently unknown number.

Trya: I believe your forgetting one more rank...

Everyone look at her in confusion, before Fuze remembered who was in the room and realized that he needed to reveal this last rank.

Benimaru: I thought there were only 4 ranks for the threat levels.

Fuze: O-Officially yes, but there is one more rank for beings of truly horrifying power... due to this, it's mainly kept a very strong guarded secret.

Rimuru: Which is?

Fuze seemed very hesitant, before letting out a nervous sigh...

Fuze: ...SS+ rank/Apocalypse class: A threat that is so dangerous, that no nation can hope to stand against it. The beings of this class are to be considered almost god-like and can potentially wipe out all life on the world if desired. The EV of such beings is currently unknown...

Everyone went silent at this.

Trya: Currently, there are only 3 beings on this world who are at this class rank. Master Jasper is one of them.

Everyone immediately looked at me in complete shock.

Vesta: B-But, I've heard of this from King Gazel. He said the only ones who have this rank are... the Primordial Hybrids!

Milim: Of course! That's because my cousin is one of the Hybrids!

Everyone: WHAT!?

Fuze: I had my suspicions, so it means it's true then...

Rimuru: A-About what?

Fuze: That sir Jasper might also be the Jack of Anarchy.

Jasper: Who!?

Eren: A powerful entity who led entire armies of Demons, Majin, and evil spirits to wage war on many nations. He was the primary enemy of the Ace of Order that lived in the east who is also believed to be a Primordial Hybrid.

Fuze: Thankfully, from what we've been told, Jasper lost his memories of these events. But, that's also why many groups wanted to be friendly with Tempest. It's not a good idea to piss off someone who can easily rival a True Dragon and who most Demon Lords and Heroes are very strongly wary off.

At this, everyone went quiet, until...

Souka: But who cares, even though that may be true. Prince Jasper is still Prince Jasper! Who he was in the past doesn't matter!

Hakuro: I agree, he's done so much for us all and clearly cares about us. To be honest it really isn't that surprising when you think about it.

Geld: He took in my people despite all we had done, that speaks of his character!

Gabiru: Despite my arrogance and stupidity, he forgave me and offered us a place here at his side.

Kaijin: He gave us a new home, and a new purpose.

Shizue: He's the reason I have another chance at life, a chance I never had before.

Benimaru: He did all this because he trusted Lord Rimuru and his beliefs. He aided us because of their ideals!

Shuna: Therefore, I see no reason to doubt him.

Ranga: Indeed, he is one of our true and only masters!

Rigurd: He and Lord Rimuru protected us, despite us being weaker to them. They have both earned our complete and utter loyalty, time and time again!

Everyone: THAT IS WHY WE CHOOSE TO SERVE YOU LIKE ALWAYS!!!

I only stared at them, utterly dumbfounded. I then felt tears of gratitude roll down my cheeks as I smiled at them.

Jasper: W-Wow, I don't what to say... b-but, thank you. Thank you all for still believing in me.

Milim wrapped an arm around my shoulder and laughed.

Milim: Hahah! You always inspired such a strong sense of loyalty in everyone Jasper!

Rimuru: Besides, your my brother and I'll always stick by your side until the very end.

Milim: Also, Jasper really only did all that so Humans could stop constantly killing each other and just unite already. He thought if he gave Humans a reason to unite, then they could achieve great things.

Rimuru's mind: Seems like a pretty excessive way to unite humans...

After that we got back to talking about the current situation. Milim said she would deal with it, but...

Shion: I'm sorry, but we can't allow you too. This is our town and therefore our problem.
