kyuna rushed into where her father was taking to around 100 warriors, grace and jake were following close behind her.

"father the sky people they are going to attack home tree" kyuna spoke catching her breath as she watched her father turn to tsu'tey.

"they are coming now" jake spoke up

"we need to escape into the forest quickly" grace exclaimed

Mutters broke out umong the clan, tsu'tey and the olo'teykan looking towards eachother.

"look look i was sent here with a message to tell you when the time came that you need to leave hometree" he spoke raising his hands, immediately the group of people turned to look at him.

"you knew?" kyuna spoke, her voice breaking as she turned to look at him.

"i-i" he began

"you knew they would destroy my home and you didnt tell me?" kyuna spoke, now not seeming so sad, more angry.

"look at first it was just orders, but then everything changed" he let out a small chuckle, coming forward to touch the girls arms.

"i fell inlove with the forest, with the people, with you. I fell inlove with you" he continued, kyuna now moving away from his touch.

"no no no no i trusted you" she said pulling herself away from him.

"trust me now trust me now please kyuna"

"never!" she shouted, "i do not know you"

"kyuna please" he began begging

"you will never be one of the people" she shouted now shoving him completely away from her, jake stopped trying as people started binding him and grace. The people were going to war, home tree was being destroyed and there was nothing he could do to stop it. He only saw kyuna being hugged into her sisters embrace before his mind went blank.

"you come to us and you learn nothing" tsu'tey scoffed pulling jake to outside of home tree.

After about 20 minutes of preparation, the majority of the clan we're gathered outside of hometree, holding their bows and spears in preparation for the sky people's attack. Jake and grace where bound by posts and where shouting to the clan to run away.

Kyuna and neytiri stood side by side with their bows in hand.

"calm sister calm, have a strong heart" kyuna whispered, moving her hand to comfort her sister.

Soon a battle cry brought the navis attention to the multiple battle ships heading towards home tree, the people raised their bows some even called ikran to get into the sky. The olo'eyktan shouted for his people to stay clam.

The ships hovered for a moment before the people started releasing their arrows and spears.

Unfortunately, nothing was working and after a few moments the sky people grew tired and started firing shots into home tree, people screamed and cried, starting to run away into the forest.

Kyuna never gave up, sadly getting separated from her sister, she ran helping people get up.

Looking up all she could see was fire and gas coming from her home. The beams of home tree coming down. She fell to the floor, watching branches of her home fall, crushing the area around her. Her mind went blank as she watched the only place she had ever known be taken away from her. It didnt take long until the whole tree was on the ground, ash came up from the ground as kyuna watched her people running away to safty. The humming of the ships soon disappeared as the sky people left.

Her father, her mother, neytiri where were they? were they safe?

Kyuna managed to pull herself together as she grabbed her bow and climbed over multiple fallen branches and things of the sorts, untill she reached a small clearing.

There he was.

Her father layed on the ground with a branch sticking through his chest.

She threw her bow to the ground, coming to her fathers side. Pulling his head off of the ground, tears began to fall from her eyes.

"father please not now" the mourned feeling her father pull her hands to his bow.

"protect the people" he muttered before his eyes cleared over and his head rolled back to the ground. She held is hands close to her heart as they grew colder.

Her ears flattened as she heard russles coming from the bushes around her, soon two strong arms wrapped around her body.

jake.

Anger filled her body as she shoved him away from her.

"go"

"kyuna im sorry im so sorry"

"i said go, my father is dead."

"listen-"

"jake leave"

"i helped your mother and neytiri, they are safe"

"that does not fix your betrayal"

"i do not want to see you jake. i do not want you here around my people." she spoke her face now fully turning to him, fire was burning around them.

"it wasnt my fault it was quaritch i told you-"

"no jake this is your fault"

"quaritch killed your people please-"

"because your friends have killed my father, i wear the mantel of leader. So i will ask you as olo'eyktan and warrior. How long do you think you can can keep yourself and your little friend safe from me?" kyunas words seeped anger, jake looked into her eyes now seeing nothing but a need for vengeance burning in them.

Slowly he rose to his feet, walking away from the girl as she morned her father. Soon dropping as he was pulled from his link.

The girls body felt hot as her anger continued to pool in her body. She did not care were jake went, she didnt care whether he lived or not. It didnt matter what they were, mates or not, he was responsible for the deaths of a number of navi. Including her father.

She kissed her father's forehead goodbye before calling her ikran, she mounted her ikran, leaving the burning area around her.

The omatikaya people had no home. No where to go. They could only go to their most sacred place, the heart of eywa. Tree of souls.

It was almost eclipse and people were now being tended to as the majority were wounded.

This was a war now, not just a battle.
