Kwazii sighed, feeling sad... his grandfather, Calico Jack... was gone, they arrived at the island that the map said... they looked around until they found a cave, where the treasure layed... a pile of gold and gems, and some photos... of kwazii, his father and Calico Jack...

Kwazii cried, as he remembered Calico Jack's death...

-Flashback: beginning-

Kwazii and Peso held Calico Jack's hands and waiting for him to open his eyes. Suddenly, they heard a beeping sound. Kwazii looked at his grandfather's vitals. He saw that his heart rate was dropping rapidly.

"Grandfather!" Kwazii cried, shaking his paw.

Peso checked the monitor and gasped. He saw that Calico Jack was going into cardiac arrest.

"Kwazii, we have to do something! He's having a heart attack!" Peso said, grabbing a defibrillator. he quickly placed the pads on Calico Jack's chest and pressed the button. A jolt of electricity ran through his body.

"Come on, come on, wake up!" Peso said, hoping for a miracle. Kwazii held his breath and prayed. He hoped that his grandfather would survive. He hoped that he would get a chance to tell him how much he loved him. But nothing happened. The monitor flatlined. Calico Jack was gone. "Grandfather...no..." Kwazii whispered, tears streaming down his face.

-Flashback: ending-

Kwazii and Peso buried Calico Jack's body on the island, next to a palm tree. They placed a wooden cross with his name on it, and some flowers. They said their final goodbyes, and thanked him for everything he had done for them.

They returned to the octopod, where the rest of the octonauts were waiting for them. They hugged them and comforted them, and told them how sorry they were for their loss.

They decided to have a memorial service for Calico Jack, and invited some of his old friends and allies. They shared stories and memories of him, and celebrated his life and legacy.

Kwazii felt a mix of emotions. He was sad, angry, confused, and lonely. He missed his grandfather so much. He wished he could see him again, and hear his voice, and laugh with him.

But he also felt proud, grateful, and happy. He was proud of his grandfather's achievements and adventures. He was grateful for his grandfather's love and guidance. He was happy that his grandfather had lived a full and exciting life.

He realized that his grandfather was not really gone. He was still alive in his heart, and in his memories. He smiled, as he looked at the photos of him and his grandfather. He felt a warm feeling in his chest.

He knew that his grandfather was watching over him, from somewhere beyond the sea. He knew that his grandfather would always be with him, in spirit.

He whispered to the sky: "I love you, Grandfather. And I'll never forget you."

after the memorial service, Kwazii and the rest of the octonauts left on a treasure hunt... to honor Calico Jack's memory and Legacy.... they arrived at the island and saw some whalers, they were chasing the whales that peso and kwazii had saved... they also saw something else...

Calico Jack's body or was he just unconscious? they were too far away to tell...

Kwazii and the octonauts quickly got into the gups and headed towards the island. They saw the whalers chasing the whales with their boats and nets. They also saw something that made their hearts stop.

they Saw a ship on the beach Calico Jack in a cell inside... kwazii turned his gup and went over, peso followed... they saw that calico jack seemed to alive, but breathing heavily, often letting out a small gasp... "how is he here, wasn't he dead....?" Kwazii asked creeped out and worried... "Yeah..." peso said as he managed to checked calico Jack's pulse through the bars... "He's alive... somehow... but berely" Peso said...

the other octonauts came over, after capturing the whalers... "Aw... you found him, by the way if you're confused on what's happening, we dyed some random cat we found and replaced them with calico Jack, and took calico Jack..." one of the whalers said, kwazii glared...

Kwazii felt a surge of anger and disbelief. He couldn't believe that the whalers had tricked them and kidnapped his grandfather. He wondered how long they had been torturing him and what they wanted from him.

He grabbed the bars of the cell and shook them. He tried to break them, but they were too strong. He looked at Calico Jack and saw that he was hooked up to a machine that had wires attached to his head.

"What are you doing to him? What is that machine?" Kwazii demanded, as he glared at the whalers.

The whalers laughed, as they explained their plan.

"That machine is a memory extractor. It allows us to access his memories and see what he knows. We want to find out where he hid his treasure, and how he found all those amazing places and creatures. He was the greatest explorer of the ocean, after all. We want to use his knowledge to find more whales and other valuable things." One of the whalers said, smirking.

"You monsters! You can't do that to him! You're stealing his memories, his life!" Peso said, as he tried to help Kwazii.

The other octonauts joined them, as they tried to free Calico Jack. They used their tools and weapons, but they couldn't break the lock or the bars.

The whalers laughed again, as they taunted them.

"You're wasting your time. You can't save him. He's already lost most of his memory and personality. He doesn't even remember who he is, or who you are. He's just a shell of his former self." Another whaler said, as he pressed a button.

The machine beeped, as it extracted another memory from Calico Jack. Calico Jack groaned, as he felt a sharp pain in his head.

He opened his eyes, and looked at Kwazii. He didn't recognize him. He didn't recognize anyone.

He whispered, in a weak and confused voice: "Who are you?"

"I'm kwazii... Grandpa..." Kwazii said, tears in eyes.... Calico Jack's eyes narrowed "oh, how sad... it appears his memories are before he saw you, Alive, in the amazon river... time to see how 'even' you two are with how you thought he was dead...." one of the whalers whispered in kwazii's ear.

"My grandson is dead..." Calico Jack growled...

Kwazii felt a pang of sadness and anger. He couldn't believe that his grandfather had forgotten him. He couldn't believe that the whalers had erased his memories and made him think that he was dead.

He looked at the whaler who whispered in his ear, and felt a surge of rage. He punched him in the face, and knocked him down.

"Shut up! You don't know anything about us! You don't know anything about him!" Kwazii shouted, as he grabbed the keys from the whaler's pocket.

He ran to the cell, and unlocked it. He entered the cell, and approached Calico Jack. He tried to hug him, but Calico Jack pushed him away.

"Get off me! Who are you? What do you want from me?" Calico Jack said, as he looked at Kwazii with fear and suspicion.

Kwazii felt tears in his eyes, as he tried to explain.

"I'm Kwazii, your grandson. I'm here to save you. I love you, Grandpa." Kwazii said, as he showed him the photos of them together.

Calico Jack looked at the photos, but he didn't recognize them. He shook his head, and threw them away.

"Those are fake. You're lying. My grandson is dead. He died in a fire, when he was a baby. I saw it with my own eyes." Calico Jack said, as he remembered one of his last memories.

Kwazii gasped, as he realized what had happened. He remembered the story that his grandfather had told him, about how he had lost his son and his grandson in a fire, and how he had blamed himself for it.

He realized that the whalers had extracted his memories in reverse order, starting from the most recent ones. They had taken away all his memories of Kwazii, and left him with only his most painful ones.

He felt a mix of pity and anger. He wanted to help his grandfather, and make him remember. He wanted to make the whalers pay for what they had done.

He decided to use one of Calico Jack's old gadgets, that he had found in his treasure cave. It was a memory projector, that could show someone's memories on a screen.

He grabbed the gadget, and attached it to Calico Jack's head. He pressed a button, and hoped for a miracle.

The gadget beeped, as it projected Calico Jack's memories on the wall of the cell. They showed scenes of Calico Jack's life, from his childhood to his adulthood.

They showed him sailing on his ship, exploring the ocean, finding treasures and creatures. They showed him meeting Kwazii's father, falling in love with him, having a son with him. They showed him raising Kwazii as his grandson, teaching him how to be a pirate and an explorer. They showed him reuniting with Kwazii in the Amazon river, after thinking that he was dead for years. They showed him visiting the octopod, going on adventures with Kwazii and the octonauts, saving whales and other animals.

They showed him smiling, laughing, crying, loving.

They showed him who he was.

Calico Jack watched the memories, as they flashed before his eyes. He felt a wave of emotions wash over him. He felt confusion, shock, joy, sorrow, guilt, regret.

He felt something else.

He felt recognition.

He looked at Kwazii again, and saw him differently. He saw his face, his eyes, his smile.

He saw himself.

He remembered who he was.

He remembered who Kwazii was.

He whispered, in a weak but happy voice: "Kwazii...my grandson..."

Kwazii ran to his grandfather and hugged him.... Calico Jack hugged him back... "I'm guessing you were Actually here... looking for my treasure.." Calico Jack said... After they broke out of the Ship, Calico Jack led kwazii and the rest of the octonauts to a chamber, it had calico Jack's memories and.... kwazii saw something else... Calico Jack led kwazii to it... "I made this for you... years ago..." Calico Jack said, as he pressed a button and showed a hologram of himself... Kwazii just hid behind calico Jack, as the hologram was kind of strange... The hologram of calico Jack sang a song, that kwazii remembered from his childhood.... it made him sleepy... and he fell asleep in calico Jack's arms...

a few days later, they were back at the octopod... Calico Jack singing to kwazii... who was asleep....

the end...
