My day today was extremely strange.

Firstly, I would like to mention that I managed to get to sleep last night, an achievement for someone with sleep disorders. Yes, I did have nightmares, but it's better than nothing, right?

Anyway, I woke up early in the morning, and I skipped breakfast to come straight to the temple. I don't know why, but this morning had a weird aura of urgency. It felt as if something important was going to happen, and I was right. In the early hours of the afternoon, I heard a commotion outside but I chose to ignore it. Big mistake. In my defence, I hear voices and noises in my head most of the time so I can't exactly distinguish reality and my imagination. The voices have loud days and quiet days: loud days mean they talk a lot, almost incessantly, and quiet days mean they whisper and murmur. I never have a silent day. They can be unbearable, and they seem to know exactly where I am and what I'm doing. It's very annoying. Let me give you an example: just the other day, I was looking at Michael from across the square as he gossiped with his friends, and the voices started chanting things like 'ask him out!' and 'kiss him!'. Yes, annoying is one way to describe them.

So, where was I? Oh yes, the noises outside. I carried on as usual, reading and gutting stuffed animals in a pathetic attempt to bring back Jason Grace. I continue until that Hazel girl walks into the temple with  a tall, dark haired boy. He looked familiar, then again everyone looks familiar to me. Probably because I have a lot of nightmares during my sleep paralysis fits. Apparently his name is Percy Jackson and he's a son of Neptune- that's a bad luck omen. We don't want another flood, we lost many people to it last time. He's not even a true son of Neptune: he's Greek. That means he's the son of Poseidon. I've never liked Greeks, ever since the accident I've grom to hate them with a burning passion. They destroyed my family, my life, my sanity. I want to wipe out every single one of them.

Another aspect to my insanely weird day was the note I found this lunch on the door. I'll write down what it said, so I can remember it forever:

"To Octavian,

Hey, so I was wondering if you'd like to meet up sometime? We haven't really talked much yet and you seem nice, also you remind me of someone and you seem like you need some company! If you want to meet then just come talk to me, I'm sure we'll get along just fine!

Hopefully see you soon,

Michael Kahale"

Michael's the only person I've ever loved. It's something about his eyes, a mix of deep mahogany and gold, that make my heart beat fast every time I see him. His wavy chestnut hair frames his tanned, grinning face. He's the exact opposite of me, with pale skin, blue eyes and straw blonde hair. And the fact that he wants to meet up with me fills me with an undescribable mix of happiness, excitement, joy and a little bit of doubt. But I'll just shrug the latter off.

I must go now, to see him. But I'll write about the events as soon as possible.
