East Blue Arlong Park

"All right. Here's this month's payment. Take it." Said a man resembling a sword fish as he slid the large amount of beri's across the table. "Chichichi, Arlong-kun. You have a different approach than your run-of-the-mill pirates." Said Captain Nezumi, a sly marine whose face resembled that of a rat. "You truly know how to get ahead in the world." He said placing the wad of beri's in his marine coat.

"Hahahahaha, Likewise! Befriending me means i can milk the East Blue for all it's worth! For a Navy captain you're wise to realize that!" He 'praised' Nezumi with a smirk. "Thanks, as akways." Responded Nezumi as Arlong begun to laugh. "Shahahahaha, Now you say that? The wolrd is better off when cash flows easily. Money is great. You can trust it more than anything. Don't you agree?" He questioned intimidatingly.

"Indeed." Nezumi replied nervously. "I hate humans, but good sports like you are an exception." With this Nezumi stood from his seat and prepared to leave. "Well, I should be going."

"Come drink with us sometime! It'd be fun!" He offered the marine captain. "A naval patrol ship shouldn't dock at a pirate's island." He said trying to get Arlong to understand his position. "I'll kill anyone who tells headquarters for you."

"Well, I'll be leaving-" as he was about to walk away a loud voice came from the gate of Arlong Park. " Of course lives are something for you to take so easily, you fishmen sicken me." All heads turned to a young man seemingly in his 20's jumped over the wall of Arlong Park, this young man... well I should say you are a fishmen yourself.

Your name is Y/N, you are a fishmen with a hate towards your race, a hate that was brought about by the despicable fishmen that stand before you. Arlong stared and you for a second before laughing. "Hey Hatchan, take the captain back to his ship I'll put the brat in his place." As he said this an octopus fishmen burst out from the water to comply with Arlong's demand. They got inside a pot on his back and rode away, once they were gone all eyes turned to you.

"Here for your daily ass whoopin brat? If you keep spouting shit like hating fishmen i might just kill ya' Shahahahahaha." Arlong mocked you as he got up from his seat to examine your condition, you were covered in bandages soaked with your blood. This is because you had been challenging Arlong for the freedom of this village everyday for the past 8 years, not giving yourself a single moments rest.

"What bone would you like me to break this time brat? Shahahahaha."

"You won't get the chance, I'll beat you here, save the village, get my revenge and my sister back. All in one fight!."You said as you got into a stance preparing your sword, you call it that but truly it can only be described a a giant hunk of iron. "With shark slayer alone I'll rip you in two!"

You launched yourself at Arlong preparing to wing Shark Slayer straight through him, however Arlong countered with his hand pushing you away and off balance. He punched you but you quickly blocked his attack with the flat side of your blade, this caused you to be knocked back by some distance but you stopped yourself from slamming into the wall.

You slammed your sword onto the ground and launched yourself upward and came with a downward slash which Arlong grabbed easily, with you now airborne he took the opportunity to strike you in the gut sending you over the wall and into the ground basically knocking you out.

You laid on the ground trying to force yourself to get up but it was no use. Suddenly you hear the sound of running as you look to see a boy running with a sword toward Arlong park, you planned to stop him before noticing who was standing by him.

"Nami..."

"Get out of my way, I'm going to kill Arlong! Arlong killed my daddy! Move or I'll kill you, too!" Nami was about to take out her staff to hit the kid but you stopped her. "HEY KID, WHAT DID I SAY! I'M THE ONLY ONE ALLOWED TO FIGHT THAT BASTARD YOU GOT THAT?! GET BACK HOME!" You shouted forcing your body back up.

"...Arlong doesn't have time to bother with little brats like you! Now go home." She throws some beri's over to him. "Just take this and look after yourself."

She turned to you and examined you for a moment before speaking. "That goes for you too Y/N, when will you learn that you cant beat Arlong. It's useless." You looked at Nami with frustration, frustration caused not by her words no, frustration caused by the fact that she wouldn't even look you in your eye's.

'Damn this Fishmen blood, why did I have to be born with such cursed blood!' You mentally shouted as Nami walked past you and you walked the other way picking up the kid.

"Damn that witch, if it weren't for here I would have avenged my daddy already!" the boy said with frustration in his voice. "Hey watch what you say about others kid, those things you're saying aren't very nice."

"What do you care? You're just a Fishmen anyway why don't you just join your people and leave this village alone!" He rand off leaving you to bite into your lip. You had decided to walk up to the orange farm to relax your body for tomorrow till you heard an unfamiliar scream. "Uaaaah oof"

You ran over to the source only to see a Fishmen with the kid...on closer inspection it was just a guy with a really cool looking nose. "W-what the..." The long nosed man questioned as he looked up at the kid. "Found you, fishman! I'm gonna avenge my daddy!" He raised his sword and prepared to slash the mysterious long nose only to be hit over the head by your older sister of a few months Nojiko.

"Don't mess with the fishmen! Have you forgotten everyone here in Gosa... was slaughtered because just on villager defied them!"

"Erm, im pretty sure that's no fishman big sis." You said she she looked at you and back at the handsome long nose. "Hmm, you're right he looks like a fishmen, but he's human. Just barely."

Ouch

"Where are you?! Over there?!" A fishmen shouted out as he ran in our direction. "A fishman!" Shouted the boy. "Get back! I, Captain Usopp will protect you! I can handle one easily enough!" He said as he prepared a sort of slingshot to which Nojiko reacted by hitting him over the head with a hammer.

"Sigh, didn't he hear what she said before about not attacking them?"

I was sitting on the floor as Nojiko tended to my wounds when the long nose awoke. "Where am i?" he got up and looked towards us. "You awake?" Nojiko had just finished with me and sat at the table. "W-who are you?!"

"Im Nojiko. I grow tangerines here."

"Oh that's right you clobbered me! And just as I was about to save you too-" he trialed off as his eyes landed on you. A few seconds of awkward silence until- "AAAAAAAH A FISHMAN!!!" He prepared his sling shot again. "Hey calm down, don't mind me I live here. "Huh?" He was skeptical so he looked over to Nojiko who nodded, he then sat down.

He listened to Nojiko and the boy talk about what happened today as you merely sat and listened. "They have to pay! No matter what, they have to pay! So I went to Arlong Park! But a women from his crew got in the way!" He cried.

"She...was like a witch! I hate this! I don't care if I die; I'm going to avenge my daddy!" He cried out, in the end you had to admit he had determination.

"Then die." This made long nose spit out his tea and you began to cough from the unexpected response. "If you're prepared to die, the go get your revenge! But remember this: Now that me that witch and Y/N have stopped you, you've escaped death twice now! Leave when you're done with your tea."

"Hey! Isn't that being a little harsh on the kid?!" The long nose questioned, he obviously didn't agree with the way Nojiko was talking to the kid. "Kid or not, if someone wants to die, let them die! Isn't that right Y/N?!" You flinched knowing she was referring to your dangerous habit. "Besides he doesn't have the guts to live through the hard times anyway!"

"I know a kid who's focusing on the future, while she endures a life more painful than death. That's why i hate people who throw their lives away!" You looked to the ground biting down on you lip once more.

"What should I do? I hate this! I'll endure it! What should I do?!" He couldn't hold back the tears that flooded out, no kid should have to go through this. "What about your mom?"

"She's alive."

"She's worried about you. Go back to her."

"Okay"

The kid had left back to his mother, Nojikos words left a smile on your face. "You're actually a nice person! Even though you have tattoos."

"Prejudice" You and Nojiko said in unison. "I don't know anything about you, you know."

"Can't believe we're leaving introductions for so late" You said as you turned your attention to the long nose. "My name is Captain Usopp! I'm looking for a girl named Nami."

"Nami?!"

"You guys know her?" Usopp questioned

"What?! Nami's an officer of the Arlong Pirates?!" He exclaimed surprised at the news he had just received. "Yep. Everyone here knows about her. Even that little boy said she seemed like a witch, even more surprising that witch grew up in this very house!" Nojiko walked over to a framed picture of a younger you, her, nami and an older figure. "Nami and I are adopted sisters, and Y/N over there is our adopted brother."

"Gasp, so he's the reason she's with Arlong?!"

"Prejudice!" Yo scream at Usopp for assuming such things.

"So this is... Nami's house?!" He said as a looked around the house. "Us three are all orphans. We were brought up into this house. And our foster parent is dead too, but the four of us used to live happily here in Cocoyashi Village."

"Then, Nami betrayed her own parent and fellow villagers... and joined Arlong's group?!" Both you and Nojiko flinched at Usopp's assumption but you decided to keep quiet. "Yeah, pretty much. A real witch, huh?"

"Damn it! So that's the deal?! So she had us fooled the entire time! She was after treasure from the very start! Even after she helped fight to protect my village... and seemed so happy sailing with us!" This brought a small smile to your face, as you knew just how kind your little sister could truly be. "Oh? She looked happy? Her?"

"We came her to bring her back with us, but i guess there's no need for-" Suddenly Usopp froze as he remembered something. "That reminds me, a friend of outs was unfortunately... caught by the fishmen. This is bad. I wonder how he's holding up.

"Sorry to say but he might just be dead."

"He's huge! That's Arlong?! H-he's not human!" You, along with Nojiko and Usopp had arrived at Cocoyashi village and were now watching Gen-san and Arlong. "What part of 'FIshman' do you not understand Captain Usopp?!" You questioned your new long nose companion.

"I control 20 towns and villages. As their manager, I can't afford to have rebellions... I destroyed the great port town of Gosa as an example to the other communities! The mistake of being unable to pay tribute money... is an act of rebellion against us!"

"What a load of bull crap!" You cursed as you bit down on your lip. "Hey! Tribute money?" questioned Usopp.

"It's exactly as it sounds. It's money that the people of the village offer to them. They buy their lives every month with money. Adults and children. If anyone in a village can't pay the tribute money, even if it's just one person, the village gets wiped out just like Gosa Town, with the only exception being my brother here." Nojiko explained.

"Then that huge town was destroyed because of one person?!"

"That's how that bastard Arlong governs. They're a group of Fishmen supremacists that don't give a damn about killing humans." You explained to Usopp. "Listen. You lowly humans simply need to mindlessly keep paying up! I need vast sums of capital! Your tribute money will eventually become the cornerstone of the Arlong Empire, which will rule the East Blue!" Arlong proclaimed leaving Usopp in shock.

"A-Arlong Empire?! They're planning to turn the entire East Blue into a Fishman empire?!

"Guah!!!" Shouted Gen as he was grabbed by Arlong, which made you subconsciously hold onto your sword. "Gen-san!"

"The possession of weapons is a clear sign of rebellion! It's clear that only the Fishmen of this Island are permitted to keep weapons! To keep any more rebels like you from showing up, I'm going to kill you right now, as an example to the other humans! It might even make that brat go mad!"

'Damn you Arlong!'

"No way! He'll kill someone just for having a weapon?!"

"Not on my watch!" You say as you begin to run toward Arlong. "H-h-hey, you!"

"What the hell do you think you're doing shark nosed bastard! For eight years straight, these people paid your tribute money! What reason in hell would they have to rebel now!? Take your hands off of Gen-san!" You exclaimed as you held onto shark slayers hilt.

"That's right"

"It's not like he used any weapons!"

"Stop this!"

"Let Gen-san go!"

"I'm saying that the possession of weapons indicates the will to rebel. Or what? Shall the entire village be destroyed?! If just one of you lays a hand on us, your village will meet it's demise. That goes for you too brat! You've already had your daily fight so the rules apply to you as well! Either way it's fine with me!"

"Get inside, everyone! If we cause trouble now, the last eight years will be for nothing! If you wanted to fight to the death to defy his rule, then you should've done so eight years ago instead! But we all swore to fight the patient fight! To live!"

"Gen-san..."

Arlong then raised Gen upward. "What a valuable opinion! You're a great speaker! Yes! Being alive is enjoyable! Even for puny insects like you!" He then slammed Gen onto the ground causing him to cough up blood. "Gen-san!"

"Not all living things are born equal! Shahahahahaha"

"Damn you! Arlong!" You took a step forward before gen spoke again. "Stop! Don't do anything!"

"But Gen-san..." You stepped backward still holding onto shark slayers hilt. "If you die, it's all over! Don't stop fighting the patient fight! Even if I die!"

"That's nice resolve! Pay close attention, humans!" Arlong said raising Gen up further than before. " This is what happens to those who have even a sliver of evil thought!"

"Stop it! You're the only one here who can be called evil! Arlong!" Arlong ignored you and attempted to slam Gen straight into the ground. 'Damn't not again! It's just like that day all over again!'

But before Arlong could throw Gen to the ground he was hit with an explosive. "Exploding star!"

"What was that?! Hey look! Up there! There's someone on the roof!"

"Captain Usopp what are you-"

"My name is Captain Usopp, brave warrior of the sea!" He said his legs shaking so much you swear there was an earthquake. "T-the world fears me and calls me Demon King Usopp, the man from the underworld! If you run now, I'll forgive you!"

You had to admit his bravery was admirable, and you had no idea he was such a strong and renowned warrior. "I have 8,000-"

"Arlong-san! The guy who got away earlier!

"Bring all the tens of thousands of men you want. I'll tear apart every last one!"

'He's not scared, and the exploding star had no effect!'

"What has a human... a mere, lowly human done to me?!"

"Shut the hell up you lowly Fishman!" Ignoring you Arlong went to lift the building Usopp was on successfully lifting the entire building with his terrifying strength. "We'll lose another source of income, like Gosa! Arlong-san! Human settlements are easy to destroy, but our goal is to rule them!"

"If we lose some, we can just get some more! We are the supreme species!" Arlong then flipped the entire building over, destroying it.

"Demon King Usopp!" You called out. "Is he..."

"Woah! I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die!"

"H-he's still alive! After him!"

'Amazing! To have survived that he must be incredibly strong!'

The Fishman then started chasing after Usopp but some stayed behind to stop Arlong from going on a rampage. They began to push him back to Arlong Park.

The crowd had cleared and you were standing with Nojiko, Gen and the doctor, you decided that the powerful Demon King Usopp wouldn't need your help.

You were spaced out before Nojiko began to talk to someone. "What's going on? You never walk right through the village..." You looked over to see who it was as you laid eyes on your other sister only for an overwhelming sense of frustration to come over you. "I heard a loud sound. Arlong, huh?"

Her and Nojiko began to walk toward a grave and when Nojiko asked if you wanted to join you merely said you wanted to assist Usopp. You couldn't bring yourself to be near Nami, the joy you had originally felt was now overshadowed by an overwhelming guilt that you couldn't bare.

You had been searching for Usopp when you ended up at Arlong Park, only to see many Fishmen on the ground and a captured Usopp. 'He defeated all those Fishmen?! What kind of monstrous strength does this man posses?!

You were watching what was happening until Nami burst through the gate. "That's enough of that! Don't go any further based on a bunch of conjecture! Watch what you say! Me, a traitor? Eight years ago, I got this tattoo as my oath of loyalty to this crew!"

"Sorry, sorry. Nami. It's only natural for you to be upset. But rest easy. I don't suspect you one bit. We've known each other for eight years now! We were just a little on edge is all. Right, Nami? The ones we do need to get rid of are Roronoa Zoro and his group!

"H-hey Nami! Say something! Nami!"

"What's wrong Nami? You seem a little pale. But as for long nose hear... not even you can save him now. Not after he's defied Arlong-san."

"How long... How long are you going to suspect me?!"

"I know." The Fishman said holding a knife to Usopp. "You agreed 8 years ago to buy Cocoyashi Village from Arlong-san... for 100 million beri's. But I just can't make sense of it. You betrayed the villagers and your parent, and you only trust money, so why do you care so much about Cocoyashi Village? Why such a puny little village? Actually, I found this... in your room."

He said as he showed some sort of map, but you couldn't make out what it showed from the distance. "T-that's my...

"Is this a treasure map? It seems to be pointing to Cocoyashi Village."

"That's my personal map! It's none of your damn business!"

'That map must show where Nami's been hiding all the money to buy Cocoyashi village!'

"Hold it. What's withe the sudden evil eye?"

"What's this?!" Hatchan questioned witnessing his fallen comrades around him. "It's the work of Pirate Hunter Zoro and his group! Never mind that. Where were you, Hachi?! We could have prevented this had you been here!"

They continued to talk about what this Zoro had done, but you had begun feeling sick. 'I've been in the presence of way too many
