Kai was taped to a chair in front of the fireplace. Across from him was Damon and Hope, both equally annoyed with the person across from them.

Kai continued to ramble, "And, of course, I broke into the Oval Office, and took a picture of myself at the window looking all JFK. But then, I was, like...wha - how am I going to get these photos developed-"

Damon thankfully interrupted the sociopath. "Oh my god, just answer the damn question."

"How are we going to get out of this Twilight Zone?" Hope asked Kai. Damon sent her a weird look as if to ask, 'how do you know what the Twilight Zone?'

Kai tried to lean closer but failed due to the fact he was duct taped to the chair. "I got a question for you, first. Why do you think we're stuck on a repeating loop of May 10th, 1994?" Kai asked Damon

Damon raises his eyebrows as if to say 'he didn't know.'

Kai resumed his pressuring Damon to tell his story, "Doomed to relive a solar eclipse forever and ever, and ever."

Damon rolled his eyes at Kai. "How the hell should I know?" Damon proceed to take a sip of his bourbon.

"Well, I heard you tell Bonnie this place was your own personal hell. I'm curious why." Kai said keeping his eyes trained on Hope who drank her eighth juice box that morning.

"I don't think it healthy to drink that many juice boxes in a hour." Kai comments.

"Shut up," Hope and Damon chorused.

Bonnie walked into the room and announced, "I found everything you asked for: can -opener, shower drain, grinding wheel, jam. Pocket knife, volume 'O' of the Encyclopedia, a nail and a black marker."

Bonnie walked over to the table in front of the couch Damon and Hope sat on, and dumped the 'supplies' on it. Damon stood up and put Hope on his hip. Ever since Kai stepped foot in the Salvatore Boarding House he has gone into as Stefan would call it 'Mama Damon Bear Mode.'

"Now what?" Bonnie asked.

Kai smirked, "Can't show you with my hands taped."

Bonnie reaches over, grabbed the pocket knife and walked over to Kai.

"Bonnie..." Damon said, warningly

Bonnie cut off one of the taped binds on his hand. "Thank you." Kai sighed.

"Okay." Damon said in defeat as Bonnie cut off the other bind.

Damon rolled his eyes. "Fine. How is this pile of crap going to get us out of here?"

Kai rubbed his sore wrists. "I'll explain... as soon as you tell me what you did on May 10th, 1994."

Damon frustrated asked, "What difference does it make!?"

"Let me put it this way - Bonnie's magic is one part of the equation. Hope's connection to the nemeton is the another. My as -yet undisclosed knowledge is the last. Which means you would be hitching a ride home for free. I just want to know if you deserve to come along."

Damon put Hope down, stomped over to Kai, snatched the pocket knife from Bonnie and lifted Kai up in the air, then put the knife against his neck.

"Or I could just torture you until you say something useful." Damon growled out through clenched teeth.

Kai confused, spoke slowly, "If you torture me, I'll get mad and then I won't want to help you," He looks toward Bonnie, "What kind of person needs to have that explained to them?"

Bonnie reaches over and takes the knife out of Damon's hand making Damon roughly lets Kai go. Kai laughs at Damon's defeat.

"Play nice." Bonnie ordered Damon.

"Stop trying to impress the new guy," Damon said.

Bonnie looked up at Damon "Why don't you just tell him your story?" Bonnie asked.

"Maybe because I don't want to talk about the worst thing I ever did, Bonnie," Damon and Hope said. They all snapped their head towards Hope innocently focused on her juice box. Sometimes, when her powers will act out she'll innocently read peoples minds and ever since they had gotten to the godforsaken prison world, it had just been magnified.

Kai, who had opened the jam, smiled and said, "Ooooh, now I'm listening."

He scooped out some jam from the jar with his hand and ate it.

"Ew," Hope said drinking the rest of her juice box making the 'slurp' sound.

The table's littered with Kai's things, as he picked up a can opener. Bonnie, Damon and Hope are standing in front of the fireplace, Damon is pinching the top of his nose in frustration, his eyes shut.

"I need to be entertained, while I work," Kai said as he laid on his back on the couch, screwing open another Jam can with the can -opener.

"Hell story, please." Kai sang.

Damon turned his head towards Bonnie and Hope, "Remind me not to kill him."

"Damy, I'm reminding you not to kill him." Hope said making Damon smile. Kai closely watched the interaction.

"Thank you, Sunflower," Damon said.

Bonnie tilted her head at Damon. "Maybe telling him your story will take your mind off of it."

"Whose side are you on?" Damon asked. Bonnies comment immediately wiped the smile off of his face.

"The side where we get to go home to the people we love." Bonnie and Hope said.

Bonnie looked over at Hope and sighed.

Damon after a prolonging moment decided to tell Kai his story. "Fine."

"On May 1994, I was living here. I'd come home to walk the straight and narrow."

Kai's snoring interrupts Damon's hell story.

Damon rolled his eyes at the sociopath. "Perfect. Our savior's insane and narcoleptic." He deadpanned.

"No, no, no, I'm awake," Kai assured as Damon who had a glass of bourbon in his hand, walked over to where Bonnie and Hope where stands beside them.

"Let me guess... You killed the pregnant woman." Kai guessed as he watched Hope grow a out of a tiny hole in the floor.

"Shut up, Kai. You weren't listening." Damon glared at the man whose hands were covered in jam.

"I was listening in my sleep. You were hanging out with your distant nephew Zach, who you called uncle Zach because that's not confusing. Plus pregnant lady Gail, who had a big bull's -eye on her chest. Got it."

Bonnie turned to Damon, "Tell me you didn't kill a pregnant woman."

"Oh, that's totally what happened. Why else would today be his personal hell?" Kai says.

Damon's expression shifts to angry.

"Oh, here we go," Kai and Hope chorused.

Damon kneeled in front of the table to face Kai, sitting his bourbon down.

"The only reason that you're alive right now is because I thought you could get us out of here and you could help us, but you don't HAVE any answers! You're just a man child," Damon said as he picked up an empty jam can "With Jam on your fingers!" He yelled, tossing the can to the side.

"Okay then, to get home, we'll harness the power of the eclipse using a mystical relic. It's called an ascendant, and it looks like this, Damon," Kai picked up something, it's round, black and red. "The last time we had it, was in the pacific north west." He opened a book, and set it down. "Oregon."

Hope drinks the last of her apple juice with a loud 'slurp' "We?" She questioned.

"It belonged to my family. So," Kai picked up the pocket knife, "Here's a little blood to get you started," He slit the top of his finger. "Now all we need, is a locator spell. To pinpoint its whereabouts." He looked at Bonnie.

Damon stands up slowly.

"Think you can find our ticket out of here, Bon Bon?" Damon asked.

"Hell, yeah," Bonnie says totally unfazed.

Kai looked behind the two to see Hope dancing in excitement because they were going home.

"It doesn't feel right. Maybe I need a bigger map," Bonnie says, trying to do the locator spell

"Maybe you started practicing, you suck at magic now," Damon said.

"Ignore him, Bonnie. Pretend he's a white noise machine. That's how I used to tune out my siblings. I grew up with a ton of little sisters and brothers, you know, all of them constantly yammering," Kai walked closer to Bonnie. "But it tought me how to focus." He looked like he was about to kiss her.

"Easy there, big brother! She doesn't know you. At least buy her a drink," Damon says.

"Why would he do that?" Hope asked totally confused at the situation.

"Nothing, Sunflower, drink your juice," Damon said.

Bonnie rolled her eyes and got a new map. She tried again but this time with a map of the United States.

"The spell's leading to South Virginia. That can't be right."

"The spell's working. Showing we're in Mystic Falls. It feels so close," She says as the candles beam. "It's right here." She touched Kai's chest and the candles go out.

Kai smirked and then pulled the ascendant out of his jacket. "Very good."

"That's the ascendent?" Hope asked

"The one and only," Kai replied looking at the

"Thanks for the mind games, jackass," Hope said making Damon send her a look. The look was a mix of pride and telling he not to swear.

"It was just another little test. To make sure Bonnies magic was presice enough for the spell. I do believe, you're ready. Pack your bags - we're going home," Kai says.

Bonnie and Damon stupidly went upstairs for a moment to discuss something leaving Kai and Hope alone.

They stared at each other for a while. They both saw the other as a threat. Kai finally decided to look away.

"Malachai."

"Hop- wait. How do you know my name."

"I have no idea. I just heard people talking about," Hope responded, peacefully sipping her juice.

"Just what I thought," Kai mumbled.

"So, what's it like being a sociopath?" Hope asked.

"Oh it's wonderful. I get to do anything I want and not feel and emotions. It's the best." Kai responded.

"Oh yeah for the ritual, I'm going to need you unconscious," Kai said.

Hope instantly stood up and went to attack. Kai was a bit quicker.

"Oh fuc-"
