Chapter 1: "Crime in the Wrong Time and Place"

On a foggy night, when the sky was overcast and the city's streets were nearly empty, Samer Jad sat in a small café near a popular neighborhood. Samer, in his thirties, worked as a freelance journalist and was searching for an exciting story to write. But that night, he had no idea that what would happen would exceed all expectations.

While he was deeply engrossed in reading an old newspaper, he heard a strange sound coming from outside. Unclear murmurs and the sound of hurried footsteps. Something unnatural was in the air. Before he could focus on it, he heard a loud gunshot from the opposite street, where there was an old abandoned building. He couldn't resist his curiosity, so he quickly ran towards the source of the sound.

He arrived to find himself facing a horrific scene. There was a person lying on the ground, bleeding. He couldn't see the victim's face clearly but noticed that the man was dressed elegantly, making him even more confused. At that moment, a black car approached quickly, and two people dressed in black got out and quickly pulled the body into the car. It was so fast that Samer could only see their features vaguely.

Breathless, he hurried back to the café, his mind in turmoil. He knew what he saw was a murder, but the most important question was: who was this person? And why was he killed?

Then he felt something stranger; he wasn't the only one who witnessed this crime. There was another person watching from afar, but in the darkness, Samer couldn't see him clearly. Who was this other witness? And why was he there?

Chapter 2: "The Threat"

The next day, as Samer thought about it and searched for details of the crime in the news, he began to feel something strange. Things around him were speeding up. He felt like someone was watching him, even in public places. Whenever he went out into the street, he felt like someone was following him, sometimes thinking he saw a familiar face in the crowds.

When he decided to visit the police to report the crime he witnessed, he felt suspicious of their reactions. The officer in charge, whom he had known before, seemed uncooperative. The officer said briefly, "It doesn't look like a crime happened here, and there's nothing to prove that what you saw was an actual murder. Try not to get involved in things that don't concern you."

But Samer knew deep down that something was off, and what he saw wasn't just a passing incident. For several days, he tried to find any additional information, but he didn't get any real results. While at his office, he started to feel like someone was closely watching his movements.

Then came the day when he received a sudden phone call. The caller was anonymous, but his voice carried an implied threat. He said calmly, "If you know something about that crime, you need to stop searching. If you continue, you'll be next."

Samer quickly hung up, feeling a sense of terror. He knew what he heard wasn't just a threat but a real warning.

Chapter 3: "The Search for Truth"

Despite the threats he received, Samer couldn't stop himself. He decided to find out the truth at any cost. He began searching for any information about the victim, but the information was scarce. He contacted a group of his journalist and police friends, but there was nothing noteworthy. There was no evidence pointing to the victim's identity or the reason for his murder.

But he didn't give up. He decided to follow the crime's leads himself. He conducted interviews with eyewitnesses and reviewed surveillance cameras in the neighboring areas but didn't find any evidence that could lead him to the culprits.

In the following days, Samer started to notice something strange; there was someone tracking his steps. He saw him in the places he visited and always felt his presence nearby. And when he tried to confront him, the person suddenly disappeared as if the ground swallowed him up.

One day, while reviewing old police records at the city's library, he came across an old story about a similar crime that happened years ago. The crime involved the murder of a businessman in a nearby neighborhood, but the case was never solved. The story resembled what Samer saw, but there was no direct connection between the two incidents.

But suddenly, while reviewing the old documents, he discovered a familiar name; the potential perpetrator's name in the old case. It was a name associated with a large criminal gang operating in the city for years. Samer began to feel that things were intertwining and that he was facing a bigger mystery than just a single murder.

Chapter 4 " The Chase"

As he got closer to uncovering the truth, the risks increased. Samer began to feel like he was in a constant chase. One day, while preparing to meet a potential source of information, he was surprised to find his car vandalized. The tires were punctured, and one of the doors was open. He felt the danger getting closer and closer.

He decided not to be an easy target. He rented a temporary place in a distant area and started moving from one place to another cautiously. However, he had no doubt that the culprits knew his location. One day, while reviewing his notes in a safe place, he felt something unusual. He was watching from a small window when he saw someone moving behind the dark glass.

Everyone around him seemed normal, but he felt someone was watching him. He decided to leave his place and go to an old library in the nearby neighborhood. But on his way there, he felt something sudden: a black car was following him. He moved quickly and hid in one of the narrow alleys, feeling he was in a dangerous position.

Chapter 5: "Uncovering the Truth"

While the chase continued, Samer decided to confront the culprits. At that moment, he realized there was no escape from moving forward to uncover the truth. He found a crucial piece of evidence in the old police file: photos of the gang members directly linked to the family of one of the murdered businessmen, connecting the two incidents.

After gathering all the evidence, he decided to go to the police to try to reveal the crime. But when he approached the police station, he was surprised that they were waiting for his arrival. The officer he first met was one of the gang's associates. Everything was set up.

In the last moment, despite the threats, Samer decided to reach out to the media and reveal the truth online, making it hard for the gang to prevent the investigation. But before he could complete his plan, the witness who was watching the first incident suddenly appeared. That person was the real perpetrator of the crime and wanted to eliminate anyone who knew the truth.

In the final confrontation, Samer exposed the culprits and convinced the police to release a detailed investigation report, leading to the arrest of the gang and dismantling the criminal network that threatened the city.

However, as the story ended, Samer kept wondering: was he really the only witness? Or was there ?? someone who knew more than he did?
