"Pretend surprise," Rosé whispered to her friends, as Alice approached them in the living room.

"Okay girls," the woman spoke, "I gathered you here because I have some news to tell you..." She made a long pause... "I'm getting married!"

The girls gasped, even though they all already knew it, and also knew how bad that was for Denali and Rosé.

"That's amazing, Alice. Congratulations." Jackie stood and gave her a warm hug.

"Thanks Jackie."

"Yaas queen!" Nicky yelled, making them all laugh.

"That's so cool, Alice!" Jan cheered, "Are you happy?"

"You can't even imagine how happy I am," she replied. "I wanted to give you the invitations, guys." She pulled up a bunch of cards and began to give them to the girls.

"In one week?" Nicky freaked out as she saw the date. "Oh, no, damn. I don't have enough time to figure out what to wear."

"Anything would look great on you," Alice said to her.

"True," Rosé thought.

"You two better start writing your bridesmaid speeches." The woman said to Rosé and Denali as she headed out.

"Damn, we really have to do that?" Denali fussed and looked at Jackie with puppy eyes.

"Yes, I can help you, Nals." Jackie replied giggling, as Denali took a piece of paper and a pen and sat next to her to begin with the writing.

Rosé did the same, and sat next to Jan, "You help me."

"Okay, but then don't blame me if it's a mess."

They began to write and made little chats between them, but Jan noticed that Nicky was all by herself sitting on the other couch. Her eyes were watery and it seemed like she was trying not to cry.

"I think we need some extra help, Rosé." Jan said out loud, and Rosé noticed right away.

"Yeah, we really do." Rosé said, and looked at Nicky, "Come here, we need your brain."

"Don't mind me." Nicky stood. "I'll just be in the corner, having another existential crisis." She said and left to the kitchen.

"I feel terrible," Rosé said for only Jan to hear.

"I don't even know how many times I told you this, but as much as I love Denali, I think you belong with Nicky." Jan whispered.

"You're not helping." Rosé raked her hands through her hair.

"She talks about you like you put the stars in the sky, Rosé. She looks at you like that too."

Rosé gazed at Denali, who was stabbing the poor paper with the pen as she was writing.

"Calm down, Nals." Jackie whispered.

"I fucking can't."

Suddenly, Jan stood and went to the kitchen with Nicky, who wiped her tears quickly as she heard the steps approaching her.

"Hey, Nicky."

"Hey."

"Come here." Jan opened her arms and Nicky shook her head.

"No need."

"I said come here."

Nicky looked at her for a moment, and in the next second, she was crying on her friend's arms.

"It's okay, Nicky. Let it all out." Jan rubbed her back.

"I fucking hate Rosé," Nicky fussed.

"No, you don't."

"No, I don't," she whimpered. "It's just... I see her with Denali and it destroys me, Jan." Nicky took a deep breath. "Denali is my friend, I love her, and I can't lose her over a girl. I try not to show how much damage that makes to me, but sometimes it just gets too hard to keep pretending, Jan." She let out a sob. "Why it has to be like this? I'm always the second choice, the one to just have fun for a while."

"Hey, don't say that." Jan wiped her tears away. "She doesn't think of you in that way, Nicky."

"You sure?" Nicky looked at her.

"I'm sure." Jan smiled, "And if she doesn't appreciate you, you're more than welcome to join me and Jackie."

"I'm gonna keep that in mind," Nicky giggled.

"I have an idea," Jan cheered. "What about going to shopping? We need the dressed for the wedding."

"I don't think that I'm in the mood for th-"

"So you can show Rosé what she's missing..."

"Let's go," Nicky laughed.

"Wait," Jan stopped her. "Lemme fix your makeup first."

"God, I may look crazy."

"A little." Jan giggled, trying to remove the smudged mascara from Nicky's eyeballs. "Done."

"Thanks, Jan. For everything."

"I'll always be Team Nicky," Jan winked at her.

They came back to the living room, and before anyone could say something, Jan spoke.

"Grab your purses girls! We're going shopping."

"Shopping?" Jackie asked.

"The dresses, love!" Jan said.

"Oh, right."

"Am I invited too?" Rosé asked.

"Of course," Jan grabbed her by the hand. "Let's go."

The girls got into Jackie's car, and went to the shopping, where was a big boutique that Nicky was obsessed with, and she was the fashion one of the group, so everyone was always glad to take her advises.

Once they arrived, they headed to the store. It was huge, there were mannequins all over the place with beautiful and elegant gowns, a big crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the store, and a row of changing rooms in the background.

"Whoa..." Jan gasped.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Nicky smiled.

"Just like you," Rosé thought.

Denali caught Rosé gazing at Nicky, so she held her hand and squished it.

"Baby, somebody could see us..." Rosé whispered.

Denali ignored Rosé and dragged her to one of the coat racks.

"Guys," Jan approached them, "what color are your bridesmaid's dresses?"

"Lavender," they replied.

"Damn," Jan fussed, "that's my signature color."

"Don't blame us," Rosé laughed.

Jan rolled her eyes and began to look for a dress of another color.

The three girls grabbed a bunch of dresses and entered to the changing rooms. Denali and Rosé sat on a couch that was in a corner, waiting for them.

"I was craving for some time alone with you." Denali whispered, and leaned in to kiss Rosé.

"Baby," Rosé stopped her, "I told you. Someone could see us."

"Let them." Denali replied, as she kissed Rosé.

Suddenly, they heard Jackie yelling from her cubicle at the end of the raw.

"I'm stuck!"

"You might wanna help her," Rosé said.

"Yeah," Denali sighed and stood, "I have to be a good friend."

She entered Jackie's cubicle and Rosé was left alone. A few moments passed, when she heard a swear in French.

"Everything okay?" Rosé asked.

"I can't fucking tie this shitty shoe, merde!"

Rosé stood and took a deep breath before entering the cubicle to help her. Besides everything that happened, Nicky was still her friend, even if they had feelings for each other.

Nicky was crouched trying to tie the shoe, and as soon as Rosé made her way in she got up just in front of her.

Rosé was lost in her once again. "Whoa..." she sighed out.

Nicky was wearing a red tuxedo, with a matching lace bustier that was letting her chest bare. Her blonde hair was falling down the blazer. And wasn't helping for Rosé the fact that Nicky's lips looked juicer than ever.

"What?" Nicky giggled.

"Nothing... You just... Woah. You look amazing. Is that...?" Rosé asked, pointing at her lips, trying to look at the side, but failing miserably.

"Cherry chapstick?" Nicky smirked, "Yes, it is. Why?"

"Just asking."

"Okay, you're gonna help me or what?" Nicky said, sitting in the small chair that was inside the cubicle and lifting her leg.

"Sure." Rosé replied and helped her tie the ankle strap of the shoe "Done."

Nicky stood in front of her. The cubicle was pretty big, but they were extremely close. And for a moment, they looked at each other like they were almost lovers, like they should kiss and make love and laugh in bed together, like how they used to do, but they chose to stay friends instead. They looked at each other with what ifs and could haves and hearts full of regret.

But Nicky wanted to tease her, to show her what she was missing. She was done with being the weak one, the one who was always suffering. To be honest, she would never actually do something with Rosé knowing she was with Denali. The last thing Nicky wanted to do was hurting her friend.

But a little teasing wasn't wrong, was it?

"This fits me well?" She asked, turning around to look at the mirror, and noticed that Rosé couldn't help but looked at her butt.

"It fits you perfectly."

"Yeah?" Nicky asked softly and faced Rosé once more time. "I'm not sure about the bustier's fabric... Is it soft enough?" Nicky said, taking Rose's hand and placing it over the thing fabric, in between her waist and breast.

"Y-yeah, I think you're more than f- the fabric is more than fine," Rosé mumbled.

"I see..." Nicky replied. "Why are you being like this?"

"Like what?"

"Nervous..."

"I am not."

"You are."

"And why are you like this?" Rosé clapped back. "You weren't in this mood an hour ago."

"Because I realized something..."

"What did you realize?"

"If I belong with you, and you belong with me, soon or later the fate will make it happen. So be it."

"How so?"

"You know, boo?" Nicky caressed Rosé's arm. "Soulmates will always end up together." She made a pause to look into her eyes before continuing, "No matter how much love was lost, and no matter how much distance there was. You lose each other to find each other again. That's what it is like when someone is meant for you; if they leave, they will return and stay forever."

"So...?" Rosé asked, "What are you implying?"

"That you and I will always be unfinished business... Until fate brought us together one more time. I know it will happen. And then, maybe... You'll fall in love with me all over again."

"Hell," Rosé said, "I love you enough now. What do you want to do? Ruin me?"

"Yes. I want to ruin you." Nicky assured.

"Good," Rosé said. "That's what I want too."

Nicky leaned in and gave Rosé a sweet kiss on her cheek before getting out of the cubicle to have a better look of her outfit in the big mirror that was in the store.

Rosé shook her body, trying to hide how flustered she was as she got out of the changing room. She sat in the couch again, and soon Jan got out of her cubicle wearing a short puffy rose gold shiny dress.

"You look amazing!" Rosé smiled.

"And it's not even purple!" Jan laughed, and approached the big mirror to check her dress next to Nicky. "I bet she died when she saw you in that suit," Jan whispered.

"You can't even imagine how flustered she was," Nicky said for only Jan to hear.

"Ladies, gentlemen and in-betweens," Denali announced, getting out of Jackie's cubicle. "I presented to you... Miss Jackie Cox if you're naughty 2.0," she opened her arms as Jackie got out.

"For the love of God," Jan gasped.

Jackie was wearing a long deep blue dress, with a cut in the lower part of it that reached up to her thigh, letting her whole leg bare.

"You look so good," Rosé complimented her.

"I'm gonna say this in the most respectful way possible..." Jan cleared her throat, "I really wanna fuck you right now." She stated, making them all laugh.

"Can I join?" Nicky added.

"Sure you can," Jan replied.

"Thanks guys," Jackie said, "but I don't kn-"

"Damn, Jackie, do not hesitate. You're gonna wear that or Imma beat the shit out of you, okay?" Jan cut her off.

"You guys really like it?" She looked herself in the big mirror and they all agreed.

"You look insanely good, Jackie." Nicky said.

"Thanks... You look... Well, pretty lesbian in that suit."

"Can't help it," Nicky giggled.

They all came back to the changing rooms to put on their clothes again. Once they were ready, they payed and left.

Jackie dropped Denali and Rosé in their home and drove away.

"Jackie looked really good in that dress, you did a good job." Rosé said, as they were entering their room.

"She's gorgeous, but she hides in those hideous nerdy clothes..."

"Don't be mean!" Rosé laughed, sitting on her bed.

"I'm totally not, I'm just saying that her sense of style isn't the best." Denali said, sitting on Rosé's lap. "I missed being alone with you." She hugged her.

"Me too, Nali." Rosé hugged her back and gave her a tender kiss.

"I wanted to say you something..." Denali looked at her, with her arms still wrapped in the girl's neck.

"Yes?"

"There's only one thing I want you to do -never give up on me." Denali looked carefully into Rosé's eyes as she spoke. "When I push you away, pull me back. When I shout at you because I'm so angry, hug me tightly. When I don't answer your calls or texts, come to my house and visit me. Whe-"

"Bitch we live in the same house!" Rosé laughed.

"Stop! You're ruining my speech," Denali complained.

"Okay, go on," Rosé giggled.

"When I get overly clingy, assure me that I'm your only one. When I feel overly insecure, remind me how blessed I am." Denali softly said, as Rosé held her tighter. "When I'm about to give up on you, kiss me and show me why I shouldn't. I know is too much to ask. But still, I'm hoping that you love me enough to do this, to stay."

"I'm not going anywhere, my love."

Denali rested her head over Rosé's as they stayed like that for a while, just enjoying the time together, until Rosé spoke again.

"Nali?"

"Yes?"

"Can I touch your butt? I really love your butt."

Denali giggled, "Of course you can."
