Loki POV
"I have Friday looking everywhere-"
"It's not enough!" I yelled.
"Woah, Reindeer Games, we all want her back!" Stark yelled. "I'm doing the best I can!"
I snarled and turned away. Y/n was gone. Someone had taken y/n, and when I found out who it was, I was going to rip each limb from their body.
"Brother, you need to calm down," Thor said sternly.
"Calm down? Calm down?" I roared. "The woman I love has been kidnapped! I have no idea what is happening to her! She could be dead!"
Tears sprung to my eyes, but I blinked them away. The Avengers did not need to see me cry. The last time I had truly cried was when I found out I was a frost giant. That was over six years ago.
Frost giant. She still didn't know. I hadn't told her, not properly. She knew that Odin wasn't really my father, but she didn't know I was a monster.
"You love her?" Thor asked.
"I thought that was obvious," I muttered, still trying not to cry.
Thor was silent for a moment.
"Does she know?" he asked.
"About my love for her, or that I am a monster?" I asked.
"Brother, you are not a monster," Thor said.
I snorted and shook my head. The others looked at us suspiciously. I wasn't sure if they knew about my Jotun heritage.
"She knows that I love her. I... she does not know about my heritage," I replied bitterly.
"What, are you the son of a baker or something?" Stark joked.
Thor glared at him while I shifted my appearance. My skin turned blue and my eyes became a vibrant red.
"I am Jotun," I spat.
There was a silence before Stark cleared his throat.
"Sorry, Reindeer Games. I didn't know."
That made me freeze. Did Stark just apologise to me? Everyone else must have been thinking the same thing because they all looked at him in surprise.
"What?" Stark asked, offended. "I am capable of being nice."
"Mr Stark, I have located y/n," Friday said.
"Where is she?" I asked anxiously.
Tony pulled up a holographic map. His face fell when he recognised the location.
"They have her on the raft."
Your POV
I grunted as they threw me down on the floor. The limiters they made for me were heavy and cold. The cell door closed, and I was left alone once again.
The raft was a horrid place if you were a prisoner. Meals came three times a day, and it was only bread and water. Some of my inmates were actually bad people, but most of them were wrongly imprisoned. Enhanced who were feared because they were different.
Like me, I suppose. I was never told why I was imprisoned, so I assumed it was because I was different. Overpowered.
Did the Avengers even know I was here? Surely, they didn't, otherwise they would have rescued me, right?
Or maybe they never cared.
I pushed the thought away. Of course, they cared. Loki told me that he loved me, for crying out loud.
Loki. Loki, Loki, Loki. I missed him. So much. I knew that he would take my place in an instant if he knew I was here. That made me feel better about the Avengers not knowing I was here. I would rather be trapped and unhappy than have Loki in my place.
The days were boring here. I had already been on the raft for a week. I had been taken out for questioning once. They asked me who I worked for, and I told them that I worked for the Avengers. That I was an Avenger.
When they didn't believe me, I may have been a little bit snarky with my words. That didn't mean I deserved the slap to my face.
I sighed. Maybe I needed to get used to this new life. A life of... nothingness.
Loki POV
"You have her in the raft?" Stark questioned.
We were currently talking to General Ross. My way of talking would include a knife to his throat, but Thor said he would confiscate my knives. I'd like to see him try. But I decided to play nice, only so the Avengers could get Ross to remove y/n from the raft.
"Yes. She is a dangerous individual," General Ross replied.
I growled, causing the general to glance at me warily.
"She is an Avenger," I snarled.
"You took her in without permission," Ross said.
"We took her in with Shield's permission," Steve said.
Ross rolled his eyes.
"She is a criminal," he said.
I stood up from my chair.
"She didn't know better," Clint said before I could do anything. "Like Natasha. She's a hero now."
Ross paused, looking towards Natasha.
"When you signed the accords, you all said that each new enhanced would be assessed and examined-"
"And she was," Stark cut in. "We assessed her. Nick Fury assessed her."
Ross pursed his lips.
"I will need to talk it over with-"
"Listen here, Midgardian," I interrupted. "Y/n is innocent. If you do not let her out of that prison, I will personally peel the skin from your bones while I keep you conscious."
"Threating me will get you nowhere," the general said, although he did look unsettled.
"Would you like the full force of Shield against you?" Natasha asked.
The general looked uncomfortable.
"Fine," he grumbled. "But if she places one toe out of line-"
I didn't hear him finish before I teleported to the raft. I walked through the halls under an illusion, making sure the guards wouldn't see me.
"Did you just teleport to the raft?" Natasha asked through the comms we always wore.
"Yes," I replied curtly.
"You can't grab her," she hissed. "If you do, you might jeopardize the whole thing. Just wait for Ross to notify the officials."
"I will wait if he can notify them in five minutes," I replied.
Natasha sighed over the intercom.
"Fine. I'll make sure it happens."
She stopped speaking and I continued looking for y/n. I found her in a cell, separated from me by a wall of glass.
"Y/n, Love," I whispered.
She looked up and looked at me. A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
"Loki?" she whispered. "What are you doing here?"
"I've come to rescue you, my Angel," I replied.
Y/n smiled.
"I can rescue myself," she said. "I'm not hopeless."
I smirked at her.
"Of course, you could, my Love. But it's much more fun for me being the hero," I replied.
She smiled wider and stood up.
"They just approved your request to remove her from the raft. You can teleport her to the tower," Natasha said through the comms.
I stepped through the glass and held a hand out towards y/n.
"Come on, Love," I said. "Let's go home."
