After staying at the Lima Bean for a bit longer, I decide to drive home and make a healthy dinner for my Dad, Carole, and Finn. God only knows what they would come up with if I weren't around. I enter the kitchen and pull out my favorite cookbook searching for one of my best recipes. Veggie Lasagna! I take my phone and headphones out from my bag and turn on my playlist of show tunes. What better songs to cook to other than Waitress? I let myself fall into my world of cooking and dancing, not even seeing Finn standing in the doorway watching me. Not in a creepy way, in an 'awww, my little brother is the best' kinda way. Still lost in my world, I feel one of my headphones being pulled out of my ear.

"Holy Cheesus! Finn! You scared me!" I gasp, turning around to face my tall, tall brother.

He laughs, "Sorry. I've been standing in the doorway for like five minutes, calling your name."

"What do you need then? I'm kinda in the middle of something," I gesture to the elaborate dinner I'm preparing.

"Right. Could you cover for me tonight if Mom or Burt asks where I am? Rachel and I are going to see a movie, and I think I'm going to stay at her place after if you know what I mean," Finn wiggles his eyebrows.

I scoff in disgust, "Oh god, spare me the details. Yes, I'll tell them you're with Puck. Should I save some dinner for you for tomorrow's lunch?"

"That sounds great!" Finn exclaimed. "Thanks, little bro."

I wave him off and go back to cooking the meal for tonight. I set up the table for my family and me, folding the napkins in an intricate lotus flower. I hear the garage door open and a car pulling. Right on time, I think, pulling out the pasta dish and setting it on the table along with the garlic bread. My father walks through the door, Carole by his side, letting it slam behind him.

"Something smells great," Burt acknowledges.

I adjust the placement of the garlic bread, "I made a veggie lasagna and garlic bread!"

"That's great, Kurt!" Carole praises. "It looks amazing! Oh! Where is Fin?"

"Finn went over to Pucks for the night. They are doing some football marathon or something," I lie somewhat smoothly.

"A fantasy football draft?" Burt asks.

"Something like that. Well, I have some homework to do so if you don't mind, I think I'll eat my dinner upstairs!"

I take a helping of lasagna and a piece of garlic bread up to my room. I place the plate on my desk and open up my computer. I log into my account on Facebook to check if I have any new messages. Only anonymous comments about my lady voice. I sigh and pull out my phone, a slip of paper falls out of my bag. I pick it up reading the numbers on it. Blaine's phone number I completely forgot! Should I call or text? Is it too soon? Maybe I should wait until tomorrow... Another message comes up on my computer, Uknown: Hey lady face got any more gay songs to shriek?. Guess I'm gonna text him.

Kurt: Hi Blaine, it's Kurt from the coffee shop

Blaine๐Ÿ’•: Oh, hey Kurt. What's up?

Kurt: I guess I just needed someone to talk to ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Blaine๐Ÿ’•: Would it be easier to call?

Kurt: Yeah thanks...

My phone starts ringing and I immediately pick up.

"Hey, Kurt, what's up? You said you needed to talk to someone? What happened? Are you ok?" Blaine asks concerned.

I laugh, "There was just a comment, the text was kind of an impulse sorry about that."

"You sure? What did it say? If you don't mind me asking," he urges.

"It was just some person said, 'Hey lady face got any more gay songs to shriek' I'm fine though. I mean I'm used to it," I shrug.

I hear Blaine gasp on the other end, "Kurt! That's awful, are you sure you are all right?"

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine, don't worry about me. Look I'm sorry for calling you, I know that you probably don't need someone like me complaining to you," I blurt.

"It's ok! I get it, I was bullied too. Just remember if anyone gives you any crap tomorrow don't be afraid to stand up for yourself. How about we meet up tomorrow after school, at the Lima Bean?" Blaine suggests.

I smile to myself feeling my cheeks redden, "I-uh, sure that sounds great. I'll see you tomorrow."

I plug my phone in and set it on my bedside table. After about 30 minutes I am ready for bed, I have a very diligent skin routine.

I jump hearing my locker slam next to me, Karofsky then shoves me into the cold metal. I feel the steel of the locks dig into my shoulder blades causing me to wince in pain. Remembering the text that Blaine had sent me this morning I chase after the bully calling his name. The text wasn't anything sappy just a simple word that still means everything to me "courage". I follow Dave into the locker room.

"What is your problem with me?" I yell at him.

He responds with, "The girls' locker room is across the hall homo."

"Seriously! Why do you seem to make it your mission to make my life a living hell? What are you so afraid of?" I scream.

"Other than you trying to peek at my junk?" Dave scoffs.

His comment makes my blood boil, "Oh yeah, every straight guys' nightmare. All of us gays are predatory and are just trying to molestically convert you!"

"You don't want to push me, Hummel."

"Why don't I? You can't punch the gay out of me any more than I can punch the ignoramus out of you!"

Karofsky slams his locker and pulls me close, making me kiss him. He pulls away and looks at me. I put my hand up to my lips feeling the lingering kiss tingle. I feel sick, the awful way that his lips felt against mine. He goes in for another kiss and I shove him away.ย

"If you tell anyone about this I will kill you," he threatens.

David slams his fists against the cold metal and runs out of the room. Tears fill my eyes as I slowly slide down the wall into a sitting position. Why does this happen to me? The one person who has ruined my high school experience decides to kiss me? Taking away my first kiss...well my first kiss that matters. A wave of fatigue washes over me and I'm too tired to fight my eyes from closing.
