Dudley knocked on Georgie's door, and opened it after waiting for 30 seconds and no reply came. The room was dark and the figure under the blankets was lying as stiff as a board, pretending to be asleep.

"I know you're awake Georgie," Dudley said and the one eye peeked out warily, "come out."

Dudley lifted the sheet and Georgie reluctantly climbed out from under it.

"So, I guess you heard your great aunt Marge?" Dudley asked, and Georgie nodded stiffly.

"I didn't mean to make the door slam, it just happened," Georgie said with a pout. Dudley nodded, an image of his aunt flying away when Harry got mad came to his mind. At least this time it was much easier to explain.

"I understand that Georgie, I'm not mad at you. She said some bad things she shouldn't have," Dudley said and Georgie nodded.

"Dad, can she really take us away from you and mom?" he asked with a small voice. Dudley's face hardened.

"We won't let her. We're going to see your mother's parents and see if we can lie low somewhere and clear up this mess."

"Daddy, I'm sorry for causing all of this," Georgie said sadly.

"George, it wasn't you. How could you cause this? It were your grandparents who started this by not accepting this part of who you are. Imagine you being left handed and every time you use your left hand they would get mad at you? That doesn't make any sense." Dudley said. He wasn't very good at explaining these kinds of things.

A small knock sounded at the door and they saw Livia standing there.

"Hi Georgie, how are you feeling?" she asked with a smile, entering the room. Georgie played a bit with the corner of his sheet.

"Okay, I guess," he said, "a bit scared,"

"Yeah. It's not a nice situation. But don't worry, me and daddy will solve it. Tomorrow morning we'll leave for gran and gramps. They'll try to get in touch with more people who can do magic, just like you."

Georgie nodded.

"Thanks mom, thanks dad," he said, yawning widely.

"And now, off to bed with you young man," Dudley said, lifting the sheets so George could crawl under them, "it's going to be out of bed early tomorrow,"

Livia and Dudley spend the rest of the evening preparing a few suitcases and putting them in the car already. Dudley called his boss for some emergency holiday and was luckily granted it. Livia sent a mail to her office to let them know she wouldn't be available for the next two weeks.

They slept uneasy that night, and when the morning came they were both already exhausted. Freddy was already up at 6, like usual, but Georgie was still in bed.

Dudley didn't have the heart to wake him, she he carefully lifted the child, and carried him down in the car, telling Freddy to stay silent as to not wake up his brother. They put a pillow behind his head and a blanket over him, making sure to first fasten the seatbelt.

"Good thing George is a heavy sleeper," Dudley said.

"He's definitely your son, Dud," Livia said and he had to smile at that for a moment. Then he started to drive.

Freddy was sitting on the backseat happily munching some sandwiches Livia made and playing with a stuffed snake he had taken with him, softly whispering to it in his secret invented language, lost in his own world of adventures and games.

Livia smiled when she saw her two kids sitting on the backseat.

There was absolutely no way in hell that she would let one her children be taken away.

An hour later a police car stopped at their home. A cop stepped out and knocked on the door. He knocked again. When no one opened, he stepped to the side of the house and glanced in through a window.

"Something the matter?" a noisy neighbour asked, having seen the cop standing at the window. She was still in her dressing gown.

"We had a report concerning the family Dursley. Do you know if they are home?" the cop asked .

"No, they left early this morning. Is it about that horrible woman who came screaming here yesterday?" she asked. The Dursley's were good neighbours and their children always loved to play together, but she had heard the late night shouting match yesterday and she had been slightly concerned about what she had heard.

She just presumed that they Dursley's had filed a complaint about yesterday.

"Woman yesterday?" the cop asked, and she explained all about what happened, the cop noted it all down.

"Do you know their children?" the cop asked after she had finished speaking. The woman frowned at the question.

"I do, nice children. Well mannered," she said.

"Do you sometimes see any suspicious bruising? Or do they sometimes behave weirdly, as if they are afraid?"

"What? No, they are very happy children. They come over regularly over here," she said in shock, "wait a moment, it's that woman from yesterday right? I heard her shouting that she knew some people who had the authority to take the children away."

"Edith, what are you doing outside at this hour?" a male voice came from inside.

"Michael, come here. That horrible woman from yesterday told the cops that the Dursley's are abusing their children," Edith shouted back inside. The cop winced at the volume she was using.

"What. No way, Dudley is in our boxing club. His kids love him," Michael came outside, "do you need a statement? I'm prepared to testify before court," Michael said, defending his buddy, "you can ask around the neighbourhood. They'll all say the same."

The cop had taken a step back when Michael came out, ready for a fight.

"It won't go in court just yet. For now we are just investigating a claim. We just wanted to speak with them, but they don't appear to be home."

"Livia did mention visiting her parents yesterday. She asked me to water the plants and get the mail when she was gone," Edith said, looking at her husband.

"Do you have the address?" the cop asked.

"No, I don't. She didn't leave me a forwarding address either" she said hesitantly.

"Thank you for your cooperation Mr, Mrs," the cop said, taking his leave.

Michael and Edith stepped back inside the house.

"Edith, your cousin, she's a lawyer right?" Michael asked, Edith nodded, "why don't we just see if we can file a report against that woman for night noise or something?"
