"Are you fit to go?" Niall turned his head quickly in the direction of the new voice, the accent a bit different from the ones he was used to hearing. He quickly relaxed upon noticing that it was just Calum Hood, his and Troye's new partner. The new presence was more than welcoming.
"I'm fine. Thanks," The blonde replied curtly, accepting the water bottle the Australian lad was passing him, his eyebrows furrowed in concern before he shrugged casually and walked over to where Luke Hemmings was standing. Niall found the name weird but he knew they were both good lads, never had they ever troubled the blonde in the past and never had he ever seen them acting like douches towards other people. Just that was enough to assure him that they were nice guys. And if the heart eyes Troye was making towards where Calum and Luke stood, Niall knew that he wasn't the only one who thought they were nice.
He turned around once more to stare in the direction of where his best mates were standing, frowning when he mentally corrected himself, scolding himself for even referring to them as his friends. They didn't deserve it. Not after hurting him like this. Niall wasn't stupid, he wasn't dumb, he knew that what he had with the boys could not be defined under the word friendship. It was so much more than that but none of them ever stopped to analyse it and explain it. They just went with the flow.
Maybe he was over thinking into all of this. What if Zayn, Harry, Liam and Louis were just hanging out with those girls? Casually, nothing more than just close friends that have met after a really long time. But then again, this was a school trip and everybody here was a part of London High School. Even these girls. It was a shame that Niall never interacted much with people other than the four incredibly handsome boys. He was certain that if he had more friends then taking his attention away from these four idiots would be fucking easy.
"Are you done torturing yourself because we need to go. They gave us Spot A to go to," The small brunette gave his new found friend a sad smile. Troye himself was really confused but he didn't dare speak up on anything. This was Niall's problem and yes, he would be there to hold him and advice him through it but he wasn't going to interfere into the matter. That might just make problem worse and Troye wanted to avoid trouble as much as he could.
"Whatever." Niall huffed, adjusting the flower crown on his head before walking two steps behind Calum and Luke's tall frame. He often wondered why he was so short. 5'7 should be considered as average but lately it seemed like everyone was towering over him.
"You know, Calum and Luke are equally, if not more, hotter than your exes." The blonde lifted his eyebrow in amusement, turning to glance at Luke before adjusting his camera when they walked further into the deep forests. It was a beautiful scenery, Niall thought, eyeing the birds flowing above in the sky and how the sun just caste a perfect golden glow all around. He took a deep breath, opening his arms wide as a smile graced on his lips, unaware of certain people watching him smile to himself.
"Troye, can you feel it?" He asked softly, not wanting to break this calm moment that had surrounded them all once they had reached their spot. Niall didn't open his eyes to know that Calum and Luke, the two Australian hotties, had stopped as well, mimicking his actions and laughing to themselves later. It was the feeling of freedom which Niall absolutely loved.
"If you're talking about me feeling a really hot billionaire staring at you, then hell yeah," Troye whistled, eyes raking the new visitor's body up and down, as if trying to assess whether he was worth the time or not. He seemed content with the answer, giving Niall a little nudge to get the blonde to finally open his eyes. His love for nature was all sorts of crazy.
"He's not even looking this way. Let's start with the bird watching task. We need to get an excellent grade." Niall ran quickly over to where Luke was already sitting behind the bushes, eyes trained on the lovely blue bird in front of them, sitting on the tree, her gaze focused towards the bark. Niall bit back a smile, taking his camera in his hands and focusing the lens towards where the beautiful bird was sat. He quickly snapped a picture, making sure that all of his team mates were focused on the task at hand.
"That was beautifully done." The blonde Australian grinned widely, making Niall notice for the first time ever that Luke Hemmings had a lip ring on, his dirty blonde hair splayed in a messy yet classy way on his forehead. It was as if the man knew that he was too fucking hot to be real, his lips curling into a knowing smirk when Niall didn't respond instantly.
"T-thanks," Niall flushed a bright red, turning his head quickly in the other direction. The blush quickly left his face, along with any other color, as he watched Harry's green eyes meet his own sea blue ones.
Niall tightened his grip on his camera, not removing his eyes from the familiar green orbs. He wanted to ask so many questions. Why would they do this to him? So suddenly. Everything was going well. They were giving him the attention they always showered upon him. Maybe they got tired of always taking care of him. The blonde knew he could be a handful sometimes with his frequent trips to the beauty salon or going shopping every week. But they never complained. They were always there to provide him whatever the fuck he needed. Hell, one time Zayn got him the new iPhone without the blonde even asking for it. So what exactly changed because right now, Harry's eyes were looking at him with so many emotions that Niall was almost tempted to go over there and apologize for the mistake he didn't even make.
The blonde blinked, frowning when Harry turned his gaze towards his partners, chatting happily with them, his huge black camera dangling down his neck. Niall could only guess how amazing this project must be for Harry . The older brunette always had a love for photography, he loved capturing moment's and focusing on people's smiles. He was also Niall's best mate . Out of all of the boys, Niall could proudly say that Harry was his closest friend. The brunette just understood him so much better. He was always there to lend a shoulder to cry on, to have midnight conversations with.
"Are you alright?" Luke's concern brought Niall back from his thoughts. He quickly turned towards the dirty blonde, faking a tight lipped smile before nodding his head. People seemed to have asked him this question a lot in the past few hours. It was already beginning to piss Niall off. Was this what a break up felt like? Because certainly the pain was there but everything else was just numb. Mostly because he was just confused about whatever the fuck was going on.
"It's getting a bit dark so the teacher requested us to move back to our rooms. Something about safety comes first," Calum walked over to where the two lads were sitting, showing the few pictures he had managed to take successfully. Niall smiled at that, feeling somewhat accomplished that they had already halfway completed their task. It was just a fun project either ways.
The blonde got up with a hassle, walking with the other lads while making idle chit chat with his fellow classmates. Everybody always had something or the other to say. It was enough to keep Niall's thoughts away from four certain men but his eyes were still wildly searching for them. Hoping that even if their lips won't give him a proper answer, maybe their eyes would give away whatever they were feeling. Surely this wasn't a sudden break up. Heck, this couldn't even be called a break up because they were never even dating and dwelling upon it now, Niall didn't know why they weren't. He had lost his first time to Harry, then he had found himself going on small dates with Liam who was always the perfect gentleman, Louis was always the most protective out of them all, taking care of Niall even at moments when he didn't need to be looked after. He had been to bed with all of them and if they were going to leave him just like this, then Niall for sure wasn't going to believe in the concept of "love" anymore.
"Hey, are you going to be alright? You can come to my room anytime you want." The blonde stopped in his steps, unaware of having reached his floor. He couldn't even remember the moment when he had stepped foot inside the elevator. Thank god Troye was by his side.
"I'm going to be -" Niall stopped mid sentence, the realization dawning upon him almost way too quickly that he wasn't able to comprehend. "I'm rooming up with Zayn." He stared at Troye, as if hoping his new friend would help him out of this entire situation but when the brunette only shrugged, unsure of what to say,his gaze fixed towards the brown doors of the hotel rooms, one of which was currently being opened by the card key by a certain raven haired lad, Niall knew that it was time to ask questions and hopefully, he would get the answers he wanted.
"This is going to be fun." He numbly nodded his head, walking towards the direction of the room. This was going to be fun indeed, especially now that he was going to confront the lad who had fucked him senseless into the mattress just the previous night.

Thoughts on the chapter?
Why do you think the boys are distancing themselves from Niall?
How do you feel about Calum and Luke?
Does anyone ship Nuke or Nalum? I do, as long as somebody is wrecking Niall's ass, I'm all for it.
Thoughts on what might happen in the next chapter?
Is there even a reason why the boys are doing this?
What is Zayn going to say?
I heard about the happenings in Orlando and honestly I cannot be more disgusted. I can't ever just imagine how somebody could be heartless enough to kill innocents like this. Those people had a family, they had friends and a lover to go back home too and somebody just took their lives away without a second thought ! How could anyone do that?
Also about Christina, I had never heard her music before but I can just say that nobody deserved to die like that. I can't even understand what is going on in the world! I watched her video, the one she posted on twitter asking her fans to turn up to her show in Orlando and I just can't tell u how much I cried. I might not be her fan but I was so angry at the person who did it, shot her in front of her fans and her brother. She was 22! Fucking 22 ! She was so pure and innocent, and so damn talented and i'm crying while typing this because nobody deserves to die like that! SHE DIDN'T DESERVE THIS! I WISH I COULD DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE THE WORLD BECAUSE HONESTLY, THIS WORLD IS SO FUCKING FUCKED UP AND I'M NOT EVEN THE LEAST BIT PROUD TO BE LIVING IN IT!
Please just stop with all this hate in the world! Don't use your guns to harm innocents. Why can't people just think about the consequences of their actions first? Why are people even allowed to have guns for fuck's sake!
