We arrived in the middle of the event when the dance floor was on fire! Some people were dancing while others were either talking or making out; Allen got us a table close to the stage so we could see everything, what a gentleman.

When we settled down, we started talking about who would be prom king and queen till

"ALLENO!"

Allen's OBNOXIOUS best friend, Josh Dalin arrived. I don't know if he uses voodoo or something but he quickly joined our conservation and before I knew it, He convinced Allen to join the guys at their table.

"Sweetie, would you mind if I join josh for a while. It's really important"

"Um......sure...I guess, you can always come back later."

I awkwardly said with a hint of disappointment in my tone as he leaned and kissed my cheek then left me at the table. I was cursing josh under my breath with all the foul words I knew before I suddenly spotted my crazy best girl-friend practically running towards me

"Denny!"

I stood in total shock and happiness before I screamed back in a higher pitch and crashed into her.

"Kenny?!?!? KENNY!!!!"

I haven't seen her since she relocated to Australia in the 7th grade but we never stopped talking. When she told me she was coming to prom, I didn't believe her one bit because she couldn't leave her finals and her straight A's records just to come down here for my prom but once again she's proved just how awesome she is me.

"ÓH MY GOD, I missed you so much"

I panted before we stood back and looked at ourselves. Her wavy blond hair was still longer than mine which always perfectly fitted her baby blue eyes, I've always wanted her hair.

"Wow Denny, you look gorgeous!!!"

She loudly exclaimed as she admiring my gown.

"Speak for yourself Kendra! You look hotter than I'll ever be!!"

I said as I stared at her short blue gown with blue flats, I knew she would never wear heels even if her life depended on it but she always takes the spotlight with her pink lips and rosy cheeks

"Denny...... I hope you know that you might be prom queen"

I stared at her with a curious look

"What are you talking about....?''

She flashed her very mischievous grin at me

"Didn't you hear!? Somebody put poster around school saying 'vote slaying dela' which came with free chocolates that I almost finished"

She happily said as she tried to hide her fingers behind her back. l wasn't surprised when she said that , she's a living sugar monster and you do Not want to get in between her and her chocolates because she will throw a good punch at you.

"Melisa and her stupid gang tried to rip it off but i threatened to break their pretty little faces with my fist if they tried it"

She said and showed off her punching skills in the air, it reminded me of the first time we met in a karate class; she literally wiped the floor with my butt.

"Well, how's the campaign going?"

And he smile grew bigger; I wonder how she got to know so much just in one night!

"Rumors have it that 80% of the students are likely to vote for you! If that b**** Melisa won't sweet talk them"

She hissed with anger at the mention of her name.

"But don't worry; even if you don't win you'll always be the princess of Bryan's heart"

"You mean Allen"

"Nope, I know what i said."

She cheekily said after that, she still thinks we're dating ever since I told her about the hoodie.

"Well, I've got to go find me some chocolate"

She happily sang before she gave a high pitch squeal and left me, Everyone loves hearing her since she's such a good singer .The thought of being prom queen popped into my mind again, I always wanted to be prom queen or to get any other title but since dad left, I totally forgot about it .

I started to wonder who would do that for me as I went to the punch table before I spotted Luke and Sarah dancing.... Together! It was kind of a surprise, they always argue every single day at school and it always ended with Sarah slapping Luke on the face but just like always, I was definitely wrong. Weird thing happen in senior years.

Before I got there, I spotted Bryan taking some punch which made me decide to sneak up on him and cover his eyes, I guess he knew it was me because he started tickling me then grabbed my arm and faced me with a grin

"What a naughty girl you are"

"Got me!"

I shouted in the silliest way possible before we immediately started talking .I told him about what Kendra told me and he started giggling which got me suspicious.

"Did you have anything to do with this?"

I curiously asked as I folded my arms and narrowing my eyes

"I practically had everything to do with it. You didn't say 'not to make my dream come true' when you handed me the card"

He said with his cocky grin as he tried to defend himself, I was glad that he did it but also angry because he didn't tell me but hey, that what best friends are for.

"Thanks bestie"

I said with a light punch on his arm before he gave me some of his drink and we started walking around the hall .An hour later, Allen came over to dance with me, Bryan handed me over to him with the straightest face I've ever seen in my life.

"Allen"

"Bryan"

As they greeted each other in a very cold way which is unlike both of them, it's kind of weird when your best friend doesn't like your boyfriend. Allen took me further into the crowd and danced until the music stopped .Mr. dundly came to the stage with the microphone and the envelopes containing the results

"Good evening everybody"

The hall became silent as the atmosphere was full with eagerness.

"We all know that the results are in the envelopes which I'm holding. now, for what we have been waiting for .our prom queen is ........."

He slowly opened the first envelope and shouted

"Delansy Clair!"

I couldn't believe what he said until everyone started staring at me

"What you waiting for, go get your crown!"

He lead me towards the stage leading to Mr. Dundly who i think still hasn't forgotten about the whole "Mr. dusty thing"

"Congratulations Miss Delansy, here's your crown"

He picked up the silver tiara from the stand and placed it on my head which came with a bunch of flowers and a sash.

"Now how can we have a queen without a knighthead moment has arrived .Our prom king is ........................"

He opened the second envelope and paused for a moment with a puzzled face
