After I put proper clothes on, I went back to my bag to check what I missed on my phone but unfortunately, it was dead which made me to continue searching for other things until I came across the papers from the room.

I collected all of them and ran to my bed to read it.

The first paper was a letter

Maria,

I don't think I can come back home any longer. They are hunting me and my crew down and I don't want to put any of you in danger. I have the instruction and location of the project in our attic inside the photo album. I left it there because I trust you and in case anything happens, give it to our oldest son. I will return back home one day but if I don't, I want everyone to know that I love you all and it pains me so much to leave all of you. Especially you Maria, Never forget that I'm doing this to protect all of you .Guard the papers with your life, it would be horrible if it gets in the wrong hands.

"Wow, she must have cried her eyes out that night"

I thought as the letter encouraged I to continue reading the other papers .The first paper had an address on it which looked familiar while The other papers were sets of instructions, The last paper had a drawing of three necklaces behind it and surprisingly, my locket was one of them.

I slowly looked down at it and ask myself if anyone really knew my father or if dad gave me it as a gift or to guard it. Whatever the answer is, I know it is very important and needs protection.

The door slightly opened and I quickly hid them behind my pillow, Candice appeared with a tray full of food.

"Hope you're hungry"

I pretended to act as normal as possible as she walked towards me with four slices of bread, scrambled eggs and sausages with a glass of water which actually made me hungry. I collected the food with a huge grateful smile saying

"Thank you very much"

She stared at me for a while then said

"You know, a pretty girl like you shouldn't be keeping her hair around like this"

I quickly looked at my reflection through the spoon and noticed my messy brown hair.

"Let me help you with that"

She offered before quickly standing beside my bed and removing the dirt from my hair as another lady suddenly appeared at the door

"Excuse me madam, there's a lady named Cassandra outside who claims to be an aunt to her"

That quickly caught my attention.

"Yes she is!"

"Let her in Margo."

She went back and brought Aunt Cassie inside who quickly ran towards me and tightly hugged me

"Oh my poor little Delansy I'm so glad I found you "

That actually made me ask

"How did you find me?"

"That doesn't matter honey .What matters now is how I'll start packing your things into the car"

My world suddenly paused as I continued staring at her confused

"I don't think that's possible now Aunt Cassie"

"Honey you don't understand"

She held my hand and looked at me as she slowly whispered

"Your life is in danger and we need to leave NOW!"
