A/N: WASSDIS????? NEWSPARKS ISN'T DEAD????? That's right! I'm back on my bullshit now that RBA has (apparently) wrapped up their final season! Now that I know what happens, I can write things a little more accurately here! As for previous chapters, I'll just leave them the same and fix some things along the way (like vehicle modes, etc.). Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this part and I hope this makes up for the 6 long months  I made y'all wait (haha I pulled an RBA episode release schedule on y'all)

A/N: And yes if you must know, the title is Christmas-related

As the weeks passed during the wintery season, the weather only got worse.

Hotshot and his team could never find a break. Every single day was something new. Multi-car pile-up? On every street. Overturned semi? Jerry needs to retire. Avalanche? There's one scheduled next week.

Today's work, however, would be their worst yet.

"I have a feeling our teachers are laughing at us", Hotshot said as he carelessly blasted away a mound of snow.

"Oh hush", Medix said as he brought out a box of red and green lights, "I'm sure they too had to prepare for Christmas every year."

"But why is it our job to decorate the town? Don't they have robots that do it for them?", Wedge asked as he wrestled with another box of lights.

"Yeah. Us.", Medix said seriously.

Hoist chuckled as he helped set up lights around town square, "I don't mind it. It keeps the humans out of the streets."

"Which also means they stay out of danger", Whirl chimed in as she was setting up wreaths on all the nearby lamposts.

Hotshot kept a sour face as he carelessly blasted away more snow.

"Aw cheer up Mr. Scrooge", Medix teased to his mate as he helped Wedge untangle more lights, "We wouldn't want to ruin our daughter's first Christmas, right?"

Hotshot sighed as he lightened up, "Right."

Medix paused his session of untangling to get up and walk over to his mate. "Would you like me to help you?", he asked.

Hotshot smiled a bit, "No thanks babe, but I think Wedge may need it."

Medix quickly turned around to see Wedge tangled up in the lights.

"How-"

Wedge made a deer-in-headlights expression, clearly trying to cover up what he just saw.

"I uh.... saw a bat."

"Wedge, it's winter. Bats are hibernating right now", Medix said as he walked over to untangle him.

"Um... yeah! Yeah that's why I got startled! One must have forgotten to fall asleep!", Wedge said with a nervous chuckle.

Just then, Hoist let out a yelp of surprise when he saw something that resembles a bot move in the trees. His ladder ended up collapsing under him, sending him back to the ground.

Thankfully, due to Hotshot's very well-coordinated snow pilings, Hoist was able to land in a soft pile of snow.

Whirl dropped everything and ran over as quickly as she could, a slight panic in her tone.

"Hoist?? Are you okay???"

"I'm okay...", Hoist said as his femmefriend slowly helped him up. His joints made a slight creaking noise as he was brought to a standing position.

This, naturally, caught the attention of the small medic.

"Hoist, go take a break", Medix commanded as he left Wedge alone again to walk over to his teammate, "get back to the firehouse and stay in a warm and dry area. Your joints do not sound good."

"Wait but I saw a bot in-"

"OOPS I BROKE THIS LIGHT STRAND GUESS I BETTER GET A NEW ONE!", Wedge interrupted.

Medix sighed heavily, "I think we should call it a day. The cold is getting to our processors and apparently making us see things. Hotshot please help untangle Wedge while I airlift Hoist back home."

"WITH PLEASURE!", Hotshot grinned as he started booking it to his bff.

Medix was in the middle of transforming into helicopter mode as Wedge screamed on impact. Medix then proceeded to airlift Hoist back home with Whirl staying behind to do damage control.

After a few minutes of trying to untangle Wedge from his brightly lit trap, Hotshot found himself tangled in the strand as well.

This prompted Whirl to burst out laughing.

A few pity pictures later, Whirl was able to free them. With one pull of a strand, the duo were sent into the realm of spin. A glorified spinning top, if you must.

The duo ended up crashing into a snow mound. However, the loud clang that followed made it known that it was no ordinary snow mound. It was a fire hydrant and the duo slammed into it with all their might.

Fortunately, the duo were not harmed.

Unfortunately, this is Griffin Rock.

"I hope that improvised water fountain was worth the extra cleanup!", Medix said smugly as he entered the living room.

"Shut up", Hotshot griped as he adjusted his blanket while sitting in front of the portable heater.

Wedge shoved him to the side, "Stop hogging the heater!"

"Back off Wedge! This is mine!", Hotshot growled as he shoved back.

As expected, a fight broke out.

Medix immediately shut it down by taking away the heater. "Maybe if you two were thinking clearly, you both would have noticed the oscilating function. You two are grown adults. ACT LIKE IT!"

The duo fell silent in response.

Until Wedge stood up.

"Where are you going?", Medix demanded.

"A different room", Wedge lied, "I need to clear my processor."

With no response from Medix, Wedge left the room without another word.

Hotshot stayed put on the floor as he wrapped himself up in his blanket, shivering from how cold his frame was.

Medix gently put the heater back in front of his mate and turned it on. He then left the room momentarily to grab a few things.

Confusion quickly changed to happiness when his mate returned with pillows and blankets in one arm and a very sleepy yet cuddly Starlight in the other.

"Are you two going to help warm me up?"

"As long as you don't hog the heater and promise to apologize to Wedge."

"I promise", Hotshot said as he carefully took their sweet pink daughter into his arms.

As Starlight immediateky cuddled into her daddy, Medix got all the blankets and pillows set up. Once it was all perfect, he then joined his little family for a snuggle session.

Hotshot smiled as he pulled his family in close, eventually drifting off into recharge with them.

-----------------------------------

Up in the garage, Wedge found himself talking to someone outside.

"You really shouldn't be here. What if he sees you??", Wedge asked as his helm was poked through one of the garage doors.

"I don't care if Medix sees me. I want to be here with you", said a hidden voice from outside the door.

"I want you to be here with me too, but Medix has made it very clear that he no longer wants to see you", Wedge pushed on.

"I know he doesn't want to see me... but it's gone on for too long. We broke up all those years ago and everything changed! He has a family now and I have you!", the voice argued.

Wedge sighed heavily as he opened the door for the voice, "It definitely is getting harder to keep this a secret... but are you ready to face him and prove to him that you have changed and moved on?"

In stepped a familiar yellow and red sports bot who immediately pulled Wedge over for a genuine and tender kiss.

Wedge did not hesitate to kiss back.

After the kiss, the bot looked up at Wedge, "I am. I only love you, Wedge."

Wedge smiled as he held the bot's servos, "And I love you too, Scorch."
