y/n's first day at her new school in korea was nerve-wracking, to say the least. she had just transferred from the states and was still adjusting to the culture shock. she walked into the school library, hoping to borrow a book to help her catch up on her studies.

as she browsed the shelves, her eyes landed on the book she needed. but just as she reached for it, another hand snatched it away. she turned to see a girl with a stoic expression staring back at her.

"um, sorry, do you need that book too?" y/n asked, trying to break the awkwardness.

the girl said nothing and walked away with the book in hand. y/n sighed, realizing that making friends in this new school was going to be difficult. she checked her watch and realized that class was about to start, so she quickly tried to find her way out of the library.

after walking around in circles, she finally stumbled upon the exit. the school was just as confusing as the library, and the overwhelming feeling of being lost started to make tears well up in her eyes. just then, a teacher spotted her.

"hey there, are you new here?" the teacher asked with a smile.

y/n nodded and explained her situation. the teacher kindly offered to take her to class, and y/n followed nervously. as she walked into the classroom, she scanned the room to see all her new classmates. and then she saw her - the girl from the library.

y/n's heart sank as she looked away, trying to avoid the girl's cold stare. the teacher introduced her to the class, and some students waved at her, making her feel a little better.

"y/n, you can sit next to haerin over there. since your korean is a little rusty, haerin can help you with tutoring," the teacher said, pointing to the girl from earlier.

y/n's eyes widened as she slowly made her way to sit next to haerin. haerin stared at her without a word, and y/n felt intimidated.

as the weeks went by, y/n found herself looking forward to her tutoring sessions with haerin. she was patient and kind, and y/n was grateful for her help in learning korean. as they spent more time together, y/n couldn't help but feel drawn to haerin's mysterious and intriguing personality.

slowly, she developed a crush on haerin. she found her cute and pretty, although she wondered why she was so quiet at times.

y/n decided to show her attraction to haerin by leaving small gifts in her locker. she hoped haerin would like the gifts.

haerin had noticed the amount of gifts in her locker, quickly realised it was y/n. a small smile played on her lips as she read a note by y/n.

however, haerin pretended to not notice anything, and y/n felt discouraged by her reaction.

one day, a new transfer student named jungwon arrived at the school. jungwon was outgoing, friendly, and quickly became friends with y/n. y/n started spending more time with jungwon, and her attention began to shift away from haerin, resulting in her not leaving anymore gifts for haerin.

haerin noticed the change in y/n's behavior and was jealous. she noticed y/n constantly on her phone even during tutoring sessions and she hated that.

during one particular tutoring session, y/n was on her phone, texting jungwon. haerin hated the sight and snapped.

she snatched the phone off y/n's hand and leaned in to kiss her abruptly. to her surprise, y/n kissed her back.

haerin wrapped her arms around y/n's neck as they kissed, enjoying the moment.

they finally pulled apart, and for the first time, y/n saw her smile.

"i'm sorry. i was just jealous of you and jungwon."

"why? he's just a friend."

"really? that's great... so, we can go on a date after this?"

y/n's heart skipped a beat at haerin's question. she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "a date? with you?" she asked, feeling a mix of excitement and disbelief.

haerin nodded, her eyes shining with hope. "yes, with me. i know i haven't been the easiest person to get to know, but i really like you, y/n," she said, her voice full of sincerity.

y/n felt a sense of warmth spread through her chest. she had never expected to feel this way about haerin, but now that she did, she couldn't deny the attraction between them. "i would love to go on a date with you," she said, smiling back at her.

haerin's smile grew wider, and she leaned in for another kiss. this time, y/n didn't hesitate to kiss her back. as they kissed, she felt a sense of excitement and anticipation for what was to come.

after they pulled apart, haerin took y/n'shand. "let's go on that date now. i know the perfect place," she said, leading y/n out of the classroom.
