Mushroom Hunting with Jade

Third POV

It was the Weekend, and Jade decided to go mushroom hunting in the forest nearby Ramshackle for research, since he never been there, he wanted to see what type of mushrooms he can find, and he wanted someone to go with.

Someone who was an expert with big, bushy, scary forests, someone who won't complain every second (*ahem* Floyd *ahem*), and someone who's not afraid of him.

And who did he decide to go with?

Why you of course!

You were the perfect candidate, used to adventuring in big bushy and scary forests, someone who doesn't annoy him every second, and is not afraid of him or Floyd.

Though you were hesitant after the Azul incident, you decided it was time to let them redeem themselves with you.

Jade knocks on your door.

The door opens, revealing you with one of your cub leopards, Hiro.

Jade's Outfit

Your Outfit (it can be anything you want, I just put this if you want a reference)

"Are you ready to go, beloved Marina?"

(A/N: Btw Marina is a girl's name of Latin origin. It means "from the sea," and can be spelled Marinna, Maryna, Marynna, and so on. It's pronounced "mah-reen-ah," instead of "mar-ih-na.")

You nodded while putting on your backpack, "Yup!" You said while making sure you have your phone in your fanny pack.

Jade pats Hiro's head before saying, "Alright then, shall we go adventuring?"

The two if you have been walking in the forest for a while now, and so far, no new mushrooms.

Jade was crouching by a tree, examining mushrooms by the trees, and you were on a tree, also examining some mushrooms.

Jade sighed, pulling his magnifying glass away from the mushroom, "Nothing on this tree, did you find any-" Jade cut himself off when he noticed how you were positioned on the tree.

"Nope, nothing here either." You said, letting yourself fall of the branch and landing perfectly on the ground.

You looked up at Jade's blank face, "Jade? What's wrong?"

Suddenly, Jade falls backwards.

"JADE!!!?"

(A/N: To be honest, have any of the boys seen Y/N defined the laws of gravity with her chakra? I don't exactly remember anymore😅)

After that scenario, it was lunchtime, so you and Jade sat on a log.

Jade searched his backpack worriedly, "Jade? You alright?" You asked him.

Jade looked at you with an embarrassed smile, "I forgot my bento..."

You giggled, "That's alright, it's a good thing I brought 2 bento's." You said, holding out a bento box to Jade.

'Even though I was gonna eat both of them myself...'  You thought.

Jade opens the box and his eyes sparkled a little.

Your Bento (PS: I just watched 'My Neighbor Totoro' in Netflix, and loved it!)

Jade's Bento

"How do you like it? It's cute don't you think!"

Jade nods and uses his chopsticks to pick up some of the mushroom, "It is quite the artistic bento," he takes a bite of the sausage octopi, "though I have to admit, it taste better than when I cook it."

You laughed nervously, remembering when he tried make sausage octopi.

Flashback✨

"You made me lunch?" You asked Jade.

Jade nodded, "It was supposed to be for Floyd, but as soon as he took a look inside, he ran away, I hope you don't mind, I don't like wasting food."

"No, I don't mind, I'm pretty hungry anyway." You said, opening the bento box.

Only to be horrified.

You cleared your throat, "A-Ah! Is this your first time making sausage octopi?" You asked him.

Jade nodded, "It was very simple and easy to make."

You gulped.

Flashback End✨

"R-Right..." You stuttered.

You took out your chopsticks and started eating.

After Eating

It was back to mushroom hunting.

By this point, it was nearly dark, and have reached the dead parts of the forest.

"Jade! Are sure that's safe to step on?" You asked Jade, who was standing on a very brittle looking branch.

"I am certain, I just tested the firmness, it won't break as easily, besides, that fungus at the end if the branch, is one of the rarest in the world, the 'Ghost Fungus'." Jade says, while pointing at plain looking mushroom.

You and Hiro tilt your heads in confusion, "It looks like a plain white fungus."

"During the day, the ghost fungus is pretty plain. But at night, it glows a truly magnificent, eerie green." Jade explains, "Just wait and see after I manage to get a sample."

He starts to slowly crab walk towards the fungus.

You hold your breath as he gets closer and closer to the fungus while hear the branch crackling.

It was nearly a 20 foot drop from the branch to the ground.

Jade takes out a pocket knife and cuts at the stem of the mushroom, carefully leaving a bit behind.

You let yourself calm down as Jade makes his down the cliff.

Suddenly, Jade's foot slips off the small ledge he was standing on, making him fall backwards.

Jade's eyes were wide as he gets closer to the ground.

Closing them, preparing for impact.

Jade squints his eyes open, seeing you staring down at him.

"Be more careful, you eel." You said.

Then dropped him.

"And that's for not listening to me."

Floyd's Basketball Practice

Third POV

It was the end of classes for the day, and you just wanted to go the cafeteria to buy some ice cream.

But to no avail...

You were captured by the one and only, Floyd Leech.

Who "requested" that you come with him to basketball practice. (Or maybe he just wanted to show off, IDK 🤷🏻‍♀️ )

So here you are, on the shoulder of Floyd, being carried to the basketball court.

"Floyd, you know I can walk on my own, right?" You said, with your face resting on your hand, which was resting on Floyd's shoulder.

"But Kirena-chan~ your just gonna run away from me if I don't hold you~" Floyd says with a whiney voice, "Besides! I get a great view of your a-"

You kicked his *ahem* you know what, and that made him kneel down, letting you go.

You get off Floyd's shoulder.

"When will you learn to not kidnap people."

In the end, you went with Floyd, since you had nothing better to do.

Right now, you were sitting on one of the benches, while goes to the changing room to put on his gym uniform.

While waiting, you just played some games that Idia recommended, when suddenly, someone yelled out your name.

"Hey Y/N!"

You looked up to see Ace running towards you in his gym uniform and a duffel bag.

You put your phone in your pocket.

(A/N: Yes, Mr. Crewel put pockets in your skirt)

"Hi Ace! You're in the basketball club?" You asked.

Ace rubbed the back of his neck, "I know, it's surprising for someone like me, but I genuinely like basketball."

You smiled and patted his shoulder, "Well I'm glad, you found something you liked to do, other than pissing people off." You said with a bit of sarcasm.

Ace chuckles nervously, "That seems to be one of my talents isn't it?"

Unbeknownst to you and Ace, Floyd was watching you two talking with a blank face.

It was time for the first round of practice.

2 players were going to play against each other to  test their skills with each other, whoever gets 3 points first, wins.

First up was Floyd against another Octavinelle student, and of course, he won.

You clapped, "Nice job Floyd!" You yelled.

Floyd gave you his signature smile and a wave.

'Yes! I impressed Kirena-chan!' Floyd cheered in his head.

Next was some dude named Jamil and a Savanaclaw student, it was tie.

2 more pairs later, then it was Ace's turn against a buff and large Savanaclaw student, almost as big Jack.

Ace gulped a little, staring at his opponent with nervous eyes, but then he remembered you there, watching, and moved his gaze to you.

You giving him an encouraging smile, and mouthed, "You got this you brainless idiot!"

Though a little insulted, Ace felt encouraged, this was his chance to impress you.

Coach Vargas blew the whistle and off they go.

The Savanaclaw dude got the ball first for a few minutes before Ace snatched it.

Since Ace was a little shorter than his opponent, he was able to dodge him while dribbling the ball.

Ace ducked under his opponents arm and ran for the hoop.

But the Savanaclaw dude managed to steal the ball from Ace and threw the ball into his hoop.

He made the shot.

Ace panted, grumbling a little before going back to the middle of the court.

This time Ace had the ball, so he immediately ran to his hoop.

Feeling his opponent behind him, Ace ran fatser, jumped and made the shot.

You stood up clapping, along with a few others Heartslabyul students, "Nice shot Ace!" You yelled.

Ace smiled at you.

Floyd on the other hand, was not happy.

He was sitting next to you, as he watched your enthusiasm when Ace played.

Floyd did not like that one bit.

Pouting, Floyd wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you down on his lap.

"EEP!"

You turned to Floyd, who's face was hidden in your hair, "Um...Floyd? What are you doing?" You awkwardly asked.

"You didn't cheer for me as much as you did with Kani-chan, do you like him more than me? Is he more talented? I can show how talented I really am, if you give me the chance." Floyd says while still pouting.

You sighed, "No...it's not that I don't like you as much as Ace, It's just that I'm closer with Ace, and ever since Octob*tch's overbolt, I'm having a hard time trusting that you won't hurt my friends again."

Floyd turns you around, so you are now straddling him, "Well then Kirena-chan, will you give me the chance to be friends?" He says while giving you puppy eyes.

You sighed again but smiled, "Okay...I'll give you then chance to apologize for your actions," you hold a finger up, "But only once, I don't want have to beat you guys up again."

Floyd grins happily, before hugging the hell out of you.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Floyd! Don't kill me!" You yelled.
