I sat there sadly as I felt my anxiety increase. It had been like this since my best friend had died. Papyrus had been my best friend until he got into a car accident and died. Him Sans and I had all been in the car on our way home. We had been having a conversation like any other as Sans had been driving. I was getting bored and decided to mess with Papyrus. "Hey papyrus whats a frozen dogs favorite treat?" I said snickering as I saw sans flash me a smile from the mirror as Papyrus groaned.

"Y/n don't you dare!" Papyrus yelled as I began laughing even more barely able to make out the answer. "A pup sickle!" I said as I began laughing my butt off. "OH MY GOSH!!" He screamed as Sans and I began laughing uncontrollably. We were having a wonderful time as usual ,next thing I knew I heard the screeching of tires as a car came speeding into us hitting head first into where papyrus was.

I watched as the world moved in slow motion. the glass shards moved through the air scraping my face clothes and everything else. I looked frantically for sans and papyrus as my vision started to get dark. There was blood and dust everywhere clouding my vision as I searched frantically for my best friends.

I felt my vision go black as I called out for my best friends. "S-sans p-payrus." I said as I reached for the skeletal hand that I saw near me gripping it tight.

time skip

Here I was now Holding half of papyrus's scarf as I clutched the best friend locket he gave me on my birthday. We were so happy then but then it all ended because of one drunk idiot. I began rocking back and forth as I cried in the hallway till I felt an arm wrap around me comfortingly. "He says he's sorry that he didn't make it." Sans said as he leaned his head on my shoulder. "I want you two to be happy!" I heard papyrus say as Sans repeated him to tell me. As far as Sans knew I couldn't see Papyrus, but I could I just kept ignoring him. "Heh thanks Paps but it's a bit hard without our bests friend. " I said as I clutched onto my half of the scarf before wrapping it around my neck and burying my face in it for comfort. " I want you two to be happy together if you can't then I can't move on." Papyrus said as I raised my head to see him crying. "I'm sorry Paps please don't cry." I said as I saw sans and papyrus's eyes widening. I then realized my mistake as I threw my hand up to cover my mouth as I chocked out my sobs. "You didn't tell me! You saw what they said and yet you did back me up saying you could see him I don't even know how I can see him and you can too! I bet you know how too!" Sans said rage evident in his voice as I shook my head muttering as my anxiety get worse "sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry." I mumbled as Sans continued to yell at me. I finally exploded my fear getting the better of me as I stood up and ran shoving past people and objects as I finally found myself in an old classroom. This is the classroom we cleaned out together that day. I thought as I had a flashback of the incident.

"Sans you dork!" I yelled as I ran while he chased me with a soapy rag and Papyrus just glared at us jokingly for not working. "All you two are doing is messing around come help me clean!" He yelled in his usual optimistic tone. "Oh cmon bro you know this is a soaper fun thing to do." Sans said watching as I began laughing about his pun. "SANS!" Papyrus yelled even louder causing me and sans to loose it. I stumbled over to a shelf to have something help me stand while sans just curled into a ball on the floor. Next thing I knew the shelf came tumbling down and a book fell on my face.

"Oooow" I whined as I looked at the book with a glare 'the book has attacked you you have 5/10 hp left.' I read as I saw my cracked and Broken  soul. I quickly put my soul back as Sans came over. Papyrus knee of my condition and how I had depression until I met them 3 months ago and how I was slowly recovering with their friendship. "You good kid?" Sans said as he removed the book from my face. "Yep" I said as I took the book from him to inspect is beautiful shining soul on the front. "Things about the soul." I read as I opened the book and began reading.
"Y/n doesn't that one look like your soul!" I heard Papyrus say as he stopped me on the page that had a light pink soul. "Oh yeah I guess it is." I looked at the soul it looked like mine but full of life and less Broken and dull. "This one seems to have more color to it though!" Papyrus exclaimed as I quickly put my hand over his mouth. "Papyrus I told you I didn't want sans knowing about that!" I whispered yelled at him as he turned to me with a look of concern on his face. "Human I thought we discussed this you have to tell him eventually." He whispered back to me as I saw Sans looking at us suspiciously. Little did I know that he heard what Papyrus said and that he knew what that meant.
Sans thoughts
'Y/n had depression? But how she is so lively and she loves everything and everyone with so much enthusiasm. It's part of what makes her so attractive. I thought but then realized it. Wait did I just.... do I like y/n?'

Your POV again
I then gave Papyrus the book so that he could read it and I began to do my work.

Present time.
I looked on the desk in the middle of the room to see the book and it had been bookmarked by a sticky note. 'For the curiosity of the great Papyrus.' It read. I giggled crying a little as I opened the book and read the page.

If two people are very close there is a chance to fix one of their souls using the help of the others. If something happens and ones soul is damaged critically someone who is very close to them can give them a small part of their soul to save them. It is rumored that there was an incident in which a monster gave up their whole soul to save two people that they loved who only had half of their soul and where in danger.' I read when it finally clicked.

Papyrus has given Sans and I each a half of his soul and that was how we were able to see him. This then gave me a thought. I knew it would make them sad but it would be easier than where we are now. I then made up my mind. I'm going to do it, I thought as I walked out of the room to see a frantic sans and papyrus searching for me. I then went to the room after he noticed me I then pulled a small pocket knife out of my bag.

'This is for the best' I thought as I puked out my now whole soul. I watched as Sans came in then I took the knife and stabbed it right in the middle of my soul.  "NO!" I heard Papyrus and Sans yell as I felt myself fall to the ground. "I love you guys so much." I said as I fell to the ground and Papyrus's soul returned to its other half and the half of mine joined with sans.

I made sure a small fragment was in Papyrus's so that I could communicate with them one last time. "I hope you both are happy I'm going to be moving on now. Make sure you live your lives, fall in love the like. Sans, I know it's kinda stupid but in my purse I have some bandaids make sure you clean the cut properly before putting them on." I said smiling slightly as I inspected the small nick on his arm. "They may seem stupid but they are flowers cause they were the cutest ones." I said with a smile as I slowly faded away.

3 years later
Marshs pov
I looked through the glass as I felt tears rise to my eyes. "Why did she have to do it?" I asked Pj as I looked at Sans who had gone crazy 2 years after Y/n's death. He always talked about how he could still see her. He also had this obsession with flower band aids. He would rip off any type of bandage that didn't have at lest one flower on it.

 They were the same type of flowers Y/n always doodled on her notebooks and any band aids she owned. I sighed looking away as I pulled Pj along to leave. I just couldn't look at it anymore, I couldn't look him in the eyes after all of this. If I had just been there five seconds earlier. If I had just remembered the date of the prediction I would have been able to stop another unhappy ending.
