In the lively living room, filled with the rhythmic sounds of a K-pop music, Eun-ji was entirely absorbed in her impromptu dance party.

Her motions were a maelstrom of energy, with each step filled with contagious passion. With her earphones in and the music playing, she was in her own little world, completely unaware of everything else.

Meanwhile, Ethan, the charming newcomer, was captivated by Eun-ji's dynamic performance. His gaze followed her every movement, mesmerized by her graceful energy. As he approached her, a cheeky grin spread across his lips, eager to participate in the fun.

However, his sudden entrance frightened Eun-ji, leading her to scream. She instinctively wielded her cleaning equipment as a makeshift shield, prepared to protect herself against the unexpected invader.

Mr. Park's and Ji-hoon noticed the noise and emerged from the adjoining room to investigate. Mr. Park, the personification of calm, stepped in to resolve the issue. With a soothing voice and a comforting smile he introduced Ethan as his adopted son, trying to ease the tension.

Ethan, unfazed by the conflict offered his hand to Eun-ji and smiled charmingly. His friendly manner and easygoing personality helped to calm her nerves, and she soon found herself reciprocating his smile, yet awkwardly.

As the introductions progressed, Ji-hoon viewed the event with his trademark stoicism. Despite Ethan's colorful demeanor, Ji-hoon remained unconcerned, his look unreadable. When Ethan turned to Ji-hoon, embracing him in an unexpected hug and pouring him with compliments, he simply nodded in response, retaining his aloof manner.

As Ethan's curiosity about Eun-ji grew, he couldn't resist striking up a conversation with her, his dazzling smile capturing her attention. Eun-ji's heart fluttered uncontrollably with each word exchanged, her cheeks blushing rosy.

Ji-hoon's presence hung over them like a silent storm while they talked lively. He spoke in a gentle yet forceful tone, "Eun-ji is under my care, Ethan. Don't try to win her over with your charm. She's not here for your amusement."

Ethan, unfazed by Ji-hoon's warning, flashed a devilish grin and answered, "Well, I can't blame you for wanting to protect such a lovely lady. But don't worry, Ji-hoon, I'm just here to get to know her better."

Ji-hoon's expression remained impassive, but a sense of frustration flickered across his features as he noticed Ethan's persistence. "Just remember, Ethan, she's not here for your entertainment," he said, his voice tinted with irritation.

Unknowingly to Ethan and Eun-ji, Ji-hoon's statements were not meant to be romantic, but rather as a warning of his true plans for punishing her. However, their misunderstanding increased the unpleasant atmosphere between them, resulting in a hilarious yet embarrassing exchange.

Later in the afternoon as Ethan bid farewell to attend to his business duties, Eun-ji found solace in the company of her beloved kitten, Whiskers, frolicking amidst the lush greenery of the garden. Unbeknownst to her, Ji-hoon lurked in the shadows, observing her.

As he considered the best way to inflict pain on Eun-ji, his attention was immediately diverted by her appearance. Ji-hoon was caught off guard and first tried to maintain his cold manner, but Eun-ji's innocent question shattered his facade.

"Do you have a crush on me, which is why you saved me and let me live here?" Eun-ji asked, her eyes scanning Ji-hoon's cryptic look for answers.

Ji-hoon looked in surprise at Eun-ji's unexpected question. "A crush?" he asked, his tone tinted with surprise. "Why would you think such a thing?"

Eun-ji's cheeks reddened with embarrassment as she attempted to convey her views. "Well, you said I'm under your care, and you've been... protective," she stuttered, her words dying off uncertainly.

Ji-hoon's lips twisted into a sarcastic smirk, his enjoyment visible in the glint in his eyes. "Protective?" he asked, his tone dripping with contempt. "I assure you, Eun-ji, my intentions are far from romantic."

With a dismissive wave of his hand, Ji-hoon turned on his heel, leaving Eun-ji bewildered and perplexed by his cryptic response. As she watched him retreat into the shadows, a sense of unease settled over her, mingled with a newfound curiosity about the mysterious man who had entered her life so unexpectedly.

On the other side, Ethan is sitting in a slick, modern studio, facing a professional interviewer and wearing a microphone affixed to his lapel. The interviewer leans forward, camera fixated on his face, and begins with the standard question.
"So, Ethan, tell us about Stellar Motors' latest innovation. What sets it apart from the competition?"

Ethan, dressed in a pristine suit and a confident smile, begins his response by expressing the characteristics and benefits of the new sports automobile with eloquence and passion. His words flow naturally, accented by occasional motions to underline his ideas.

As the interview progresses, the conversation shifts to Ethan's personal life. The interviewer, with a glint of curiosity in his eyes, probes into Ethan's romantic endeavors, given his status as the heir to the Stellar Motors empire.

Ethan addresses the questions with grace, providing lovely tales and clever quips to keep the audience interested. He expresses his commitment to the family firm and his hopes for its future, all while preserving an air of refinement and confidence.

After the interview, Ethan leaves the studio feeling upbeat, his mind racing with excitement for the segment's broadcast. He can't wait to celebrate his victory with his father and bask in the warmth of his accomplishments.

As Ethan finishes his interview, he walks into his father's office, beaming with pride at his performance. Mr. Park, cool and composed, reminds Ethan that their money is not actually theirs and instead belongs to Ji-hoon. Ethan, unfazed, dismisses the reminder while concentrating on his own success.

Ethan is intrigued by Ji-hoon's youthful appearance, but he does not express it loudly. Instead, he directs the conversation to Eun-ji, acknowledging her in passing. Mr. Park raises an eyebrow when her name is spoken, but Ethan is too preoccupied with himself to see his father's reaction.

Later, Ethan goes outside to the garden, where Eun-ji is playing with her kitten. He strikes up a discussion, hoping to discover more about her. Eun-ji, ignorant to Ethan's curiosity, fully participates in the conversation, telling stories about her life and passions.

Meanwhile, Ji-hoon observes the conversation from afar, his expression unreadable. He considers how to further his revenge on Eun-ji, but for the time being, he stays a mute observer, watching the events develop with detached enjoyment.

As evening descended, casting long shadows across Ji-hoon's opulent living room, he found himself grappling with conflicting emotions. Whiskers, Eun-ji's beloved kitten, mewed plaintively at Ji-hoon's feet, looking for comfort and warmth. Ji-hoon's demeanor remained stern as he picked up the small kitty and brought it outside.

"Go, run away," he murmured softly, almost to himself. "It's bad luck to stay with Eun-ji."

Yet Whiskers, sensing a bond with Eun-ji that transcended mere superstition, refused to leave. With a resigned sigh, Ji-hoon teleported back into his home, leaving Whiskers to roam freely outside.

Moments later, Eun-ji burst into the room, her eyes burning with righteous rage. "How could you throw away Whiskers?!" she exclaimed, her voice shaking with emotion. "Ethan saw you grabbing Whiskers outside the gate. If you don't want my cat, just tell me. I'd rather leave than let a poor kitten be alone!"

Before Ji-hoon could react, Ethan entered the room, his forehead twisted with disbelief. "I didn't find Whiskers," he admitted, shooting a sharp gaze at Ji-hoon.

Ji-hoon stood silently as Eun-ji and Ethan went outside to look for the lost kitten, a sense of remorse tugging at his conscience. He couldn't help but compare today's pure-hearted Eun-ji to his former self, the formidable Hye-jin. If only she resembled her former self, he pondered angrily, it would be easy to carry out his vengeful plans.

Meanwhile, while Eun-ji and Ethan searched for Whiskers, an unknown entity waited in the shadows, casting a menacing glare on Eun-ji. It was drawn to her weak spirit and waited for the right moment to attack and possess her. After all, Eun-ji's sheer presence served as a beacon for wandering spirits seeking sanctuary in the mortal realm.
