Intro: Like I've said before, Zelink was the first ship I ever became obsessed with. Like, seriously, the "Legend of Zelda" franchise was my first ever hyper-fixation, and this ship stood in the center of it.

Proof: There's proof in pretty much every Zelda game that features these two. And, I mean, come on. It's the classic "hero x princess" relationship, the stuff of old that still works today. And because there's multiple reincarnations, there's multiple tropes!

Want a "childhood friends to lovers"? Check out "Skyward Sword" or "The Minish Cap". Do you want the classic "hero x damsel"? Check out the original two games, "Link to the Past"/Between Worlds", or "Twilight Princess". Want "battle partners"? Look up "Spirit Tracks" or even "Hyrule Warriors". "Enemies to friends to lovers"? "Windwaker" and "Phantom Hourglass" have you covered. Do you want a little bit of everything? "OCARINA OF TIME" AND "BREATH OF THE WILD".

The list goes on and on...

What I think: I believe, in terms of sheer versatility, Zelink has every other ship beat by a mile. Perhaps that's a bit unfair, considering just how many incarnations of these two exist, but whatever.

Why did I choose the Smash Ultimate versions of these two for the picture above? Because f*ck you, my shipping heart can't help but swoon at the idea of one incarnation from one era meeting the other's incarnation from a different era. It's adorable and I love it.
