Fyodor Dostoevsky x Dazai Osamu

this ship is,,, one of my guilty pleasures

It's one of those ships that I can't see working out, but I can't help but ship it bc their dynamic is just so interesting??

On one hand, since they're enemies they most likely wouldn't enter a relationship no matter what - but I also just can't see them being together?? it's probably bc they're very similar and I feel like they'd both need someone more upbeat-

But their dynamic is just so damn interesting. I love how they're basically the same, but not really? They're both pretty disconnected from human emotion and,, humans in general, and they're both somewhat morally gray (although I'd say Dazai is more morally gray. Fyodor is pretty much just an asshole)

But despite their similarities they're also very different. None of them really see themselves as human - but while Fyodor hates humans for their sins, Dazai likes humans. He likes talking to people, and he finds beauty in their sins.

I feel like Fyodor is what Dazai might've became if he hadn't met Oda and quit the mafia

Overall I can't see a relationship between them working out at all, but I still rly like this ship just bc of how complicated and interesting their dynamic is😳
